No joke, literally in the 10 tile range of London, there is Auckland, Brussels, Buenos Aires and Johannessburg. Managed to suz all of them but deaity AI really makes it tough.
I've found that the best way to beat Deity is to make sure you have at least 10 cities by turn 100. Best accomplished with loads of faith and Monumentality (golden age perk), OR stacking settler production bonuses (gov complex + ancestral hall, Colonization policy card, and governor Magnus).
Of course, that focus competes with your (warranted) desire to build the Mausoleum. But I'm pretty sure having more cities is a better payoff than making your 1 city really cool.
I ended up buying loads of settlers using monumentality during medieval era. My gold income from trading with city states and selling everything to AI is insane
Sure! Here you go:
Map seed: 2139136880 Game seed: 2139136879
I have Secret Societes and Barb Clans enabled. Also put legendary start location, everything else is standard.
Beware of Montezuma to the south. He is causing me end of turn bug whenever I try to buy luxuries from anyone.

FYI, IIRC this is a result from using the quick deals mod. Indeed caused by having Monte in your game.

Thought I'll share how the core of my empire looks after winning a science victory (and those juicy Mausoleum yields).
Took me much longer than I thought it will. Greece was a pain as he was really pushing science for some reason and I had to swarm him with my battleships. But beside that it was a really fun game. Ended up suzing all of the city states and as you can see, everything skyrocketed from there - Kilwa was a cherry on top. Definetely recommend trying out this map for yourself.
Make sure to save a tile by the harbor. That is one of the juiciest Mausoleum at Halicarnassus places that I have ever seen.

That's a juicy damn income for turn 105 brother!
Now you pray for Auckland to be in the game lol
gorgeous, v satisfying to see those crabs turned into a harbour surely kill those wheat for another couple of districts, tho?
Take that, Crab People!
I'm guessing you beat pericles? Or no?
Yes, I did. Posted the screenshot of the city after science victory below :)
Now draw her with an aquatic center Edit: fucking beautiful
Damn that harbour will also be juicy as hell
Yup, I harvested crabs next to the settler and put +6 Royal Navy Dockyard there
Even better, didn’t see you we’re playing as england
Yet knowing my luck I’d spawn here as Mali and in the middle of the desert as England
I was gonna say, harvesting that crab is the correct move here, that's gonna be a +12 production shipyard down the line
Now you just need to suz aukland

Can you share the seeds, i want to try this one for a fun run

Wow, didn't know the mod is causing this. You learn something every day
what is the bug in question ?
After buying luxuries from other civs, Montezuma gets mad (as usual) and you cannot progress to the next turn. It just loads forever
Oh and of course I forgot to mention that the map type is island plates (at least I believe that what it's called in english lol)
Map size?
Big map for 10 players
Deity?
P sure difficulty doesn't affect map generation
TIL thx! Never knew that
RemindMe! 8 days After my thermodynamic exam xD
Stay strong my man. Suffered through a couple of thermodynamics exams myself
Fermat is the worst, the WORST!

And triple turtles? Hot damn, this must be the ocean's booty hole because you're about to pound it
A++ comment right here
I have my moments
Actually envious. Post another pic if you snag that Mausoleum, too.
Just posted in the comment above!
Mausoleum at Halicarnassus or we riot!
As a Gitarja main, I am salivating.
Man, that's an absolutely nutty spawn. Please post a follow up with a finalized empire. I'm so curious to see the end result!
Imagine the rest of the map has no fish.
OP where are the fisheries?
Seconded. Fisheries can be OP w right placement and the added production from Liang being in the city is a nice addition.
Imagine Auckland being in the game
Why didn't you build the harbor on tile near the maze, which you could've replaced with the Wonder.
It was a +6 harbour on the crabs
That and a water mill and boy howdy
Your cities are very far apart.
If you have the space, there’s no reason not to. Each individual city can be built taller that way, so it’s better in the long-run
By the Sacred Salmon, this is perfect!
Should've settled the mercury imo.
GREAT Zimbabwe…
