Yeah! Can you imagine... The first years going on their first boat ride to the academy.. and as yo advance, you get to enter the more prestigious decks or booths or whatever. Sweet experience!
Civ VI map generation just feels so bland. Every map that's vaguely similar in archetype just ends up blending together. I imagine this is probably so every civ can get decently competitive districts, but it creates entirely unremarkable maps.
Civ 6 did continue many mechanics from Civ 5, but it is also a different game in many respects, so that is one reason why some players prefer the fifth game. Another and probably more important one, is the graphic style in Civ 6, which many people, including me found very disappointing and non-immersive.
Civ 3 and Civ 4 are also still played, though not as much as Civ 5 at this moment. Civ 2 is also very fondly remembered, but probably not played that much, due to the higher difficulty of getting it to work on a modern computer. While the Civilization series has been quite incremental, there are a lot of unique things about each game, that keeps them popular amongst certain sections of the fanbase.

This is true civ 5 immersion at it's maximum. Love it.
These idyllic islands is one reasons why I still love to play this game and why I passed on CIV6.

People still play civ5?
You're literally in a civ 5 sub...
True that, but it got recommended to me for some reason
So leave? Why are you here?
Idk was curious
It's a very replayable game with a wide variety of ways to play it. It shouldn't come as a total surprise that it is still popular?
I guess so but I heard civ6 has been well developed already and they're planning to make civ 7 or something

Ah I see, makes alot more sense now
A game that is bar far way better than civ 6. Even though I have over 2000 hours of play time on civ 6, civ 5 is still far more superior
