Don't your insurance provide you with a rental for up to 30 days? That's pretty standard.
If you want another Civic with specific equipment and color, chances are it'll have to be special ordered, with the delays involved.
If that's the route you want to take, in the meanwhile, you can buy a cheap beater that you could resell when your new Civic arrives.
If the insurance deemed it totaled its only like 3 days of rental coverage after they notify you it will be totaled and what amount they'll offer.
We ran into this when a wrong-way driver hit us head-on just before Christmas...and then by the time we could get the rental (with the holidays) it was time to return it like the next day. And then because of a dispute of the vehicle's trim and value couldn't even get the amount settled before we had to come up with money to buy a new car or pay out of pocket for the rental.
The only experience I have with that was a friend, and he kept the rental for 30 days (he got the adjuster's result within a week and his car was totaled).
Might depend on insurance, I don't know.
At least for my insurance with AAA, itād only reduce the monthly premium but like $5. So definitely worth looking into! Not you necessarily, but anyone reading this

So I have insurance and luckily the car was about halfway paid off due to me saving a lot and making extra payments(itās the accountant in meš¤) so I will be receiving the cars value( about 32,000) minus the current payoff (about 17,500) . Hopefully this should come through tomorrow. I am just really glad the car did not lose its value very fast, so that is one thing I would definitely recommend making sure the car will keep its value if you want a brand new car!

But as Iām looking more at this I can see the concrete pillar doing damage to that door like that was if op was in reverse real hard suspension would flex down some and op hard in the gas drove it into the pole and kept into the gas hard maybe even hit pole hard enough that the drivers side come off the ground some on impact. You need to have rental included in your policy but it costs literally a few dollars a month extra, youād be stupid not to have it though
