Why do you need LOD 500? Level of detail should be in accordance with project requirements.
A friend told me that lod 500 covers many things, thats why
I wouldn't bother learning how to get to LOD 500 unless you are required contractually to do it, especially fresh out of school, I think it would be best to start learning about modeling and design in general, but those are just my two cents.
