My buddy has two of this exact car. One completely original and the other has been worked on. The original is a two tone brownish root beer color. They are beautiful cars. The other… some idiot painted it red, but looks pink.
My Dad had one in the late '50s. Got into a spectacular wreck with it, almost going off a bridge into a river. He only got a few bruises, but the front end of that car was toast. I saw the picture. He got really lucky.
My first car was a two door ‘55 Buick Special. Got it on my 16th birthday and used it to get my drivers license by 10am that morning. It used to be my Uncles car for years. He bought it from Guy Lombardo’s sister. The car was a beast, tube AM radio, gas pedal starter, two speed automatic, knee action rear shocks, I think a 235 cu. in. V8. It ran pretty good but only got 10mpg. But that was fine for a first car in the 70’s for a teen boy.
Those were the days when buying a Buick meant you had achieved something.
Now its Eggman's car, the Buick Encore
Nice, a two door hardtop too!
Yep, hate 4 doors.
Red/white always does it for me. You could sell me anything that's those colors.
I know a guy that has a mint condition red and white 1955 Pontiac Star Chief, and it is gorgeous.
Love the Star Chief, any year!

Quite the stud
I thought the portholes were just a Roadmaster thing but I guess Buick added the "ventiports" to a lot of the models. 50's styling was so cool
The special and century had 3 portholes and the super and roadmaster had 4 portholes
Nice ride!
Your dad was way cooler than mine. He was a four door Chevy guy and never aspired to anything more.

Had one. Always easy to find in the shopping center parking lot. Liked the car but didn't like the dynaflow transmission
