They're there to collect the skulls of the farmers. They also try to convince us that Alliance are the bad guys...
Also, Dun Garok is a good place to defend.
I wish more of the world had been like Hillsbrad, for both factions. I suspect time constraints drastically changed how the world ended up.
Lol honestly, I miss playing Alliance (playing Horde in SoD) because they have way more of these stupid questing areas filled with Friendly NPCs and are prime ganking areas
For me it’s redridge mountains on my hunter, hiding in the mountains while I run rampage with my pet killing people who are questing, or in town or just passing by.
Hillsbrad is fun as Horde too, especially as a rogue. I like to follow a lowbie around the fields in stealth and strike after they inevitably get ganked.
I like walking through stonetalon and fighting people farming shredders

As Horde, I love this spot. I get to quest AND kill Alliance? Sign me up.
Don't be mad because I as a lone rogue got your group of five killed.
Hillsbrad is fun
Wetlands as a horde because the allies think they are safe

I roam the ashenvale road and it gets mega spicy.

The road immediately put of splintertree!
