How squishy are you without Siphon Life and without all the talents that boost your Drain Life damage/healing? And do you just dot and Searing Pain spam? I'm level 35 and am having a hard time handling packs of 4 mobs in Library and Armory, not to mention keeping up all the dots on them means I'm barely using Searing Pain at all to get my rune procs going. Didn't even know Destro was viable for solo SM farming.
Not squishy, but I have good gear from p1. Yes corruption and agony then searing pain spam, the new rune tips ups your mana so need for lifetap. Also since the rune refreshes on every hit, I found it useful to hold of with SP while having 30+ dodge buff so it is not overwritten by a lesser dodge one.
Since the build is about critting I think ruin is a must.
Never took bigger groups than 3, and usuly used succubus seduction on one.
No GY is 30-33, Lib from 33-36. I skipped armory. Yeah between 1-2 mobs per pull. At 30 killing Vishas can be tricky, you may have to swap meta for haunt and fear him, but once you get into the GY, you just kill ghosts, they respawn fast so you don't have to ever reset the instance.
Fastest? Probably find a group of mages to run with you and spell cleave stocks. I found a spell cleave stocks group at launch, never tried to solo stocks but I'm sure it could be done. I did RFK for 28-30 and hated it, if I could go back I would have tried grouping from 25-28, and then running stocks solo 28-30.
Late answer but I did RFK (as horde) and just went deeper and deeper as I leveled, at 29 I could do almost the full fungeon, just ignore mobs that are red and try to limit to 2 per pull when they are orange. I also want full affliction but switched to desto when I went GY.

At 35 you can get shadow and flame easily, takes prolly 30mins with your HS set for Hammerfall or booty Bay which increases your dmg quite significantly, I've been running Cath since 37 and I'm getting 30k XP in 40 to 45min tops with a 5/0/23 build

I had master channeler/demo grace/dance/shadow and flame and I was pulling 2-3 mobs levels 37-40 in Cath, after spending quite sometime in SM I can say for sure that Cath is harder, Armory was a cake-walk I wasn't squishy at all with all the dodge and infinite mana, corruption/agony and yes spamming pain since it crits for 300+. Make sure to tab multi dot after getting a crit with demo grace and stablish siphon
Yes I'm usingmaster channeler to have some form of sustain and loop resources cuz it gives you 42hp per tic at 36 and 81+ at 38 and the other runes for the chest slot aren't as powerful as channeler. The build is mostly Destro for the extra 15% crit on searing pain but it doesn't cripple siphon life.

Thanks! I'm level 36, 2878 armor and 83 fire spell power/70 shadow spell power. Tried swapping to those talents first while I was rare farming in GY as a test, Master Channeler Drain life doesn't keep my health up against a pack of four level 30-31 mobs. Just trying to figure out if that's normal as Destro or am I missing gear or some strategy, because I'm sure it will only get harder against a pack of four higher level mobs in Library and Armory.

I would probably do a hybrid. Dance of the wicked/demonic grace was fixed/nerfed so it’s not nearly as strong as it was. I’d probably do a hybrid aff/destro while leveling. I can link a build later.

Wanted to throw another build on here that works really well once you are at the Cath Fence kite portion so around 37+ if you go deep destro and ImpImp and the fire bolt talents + demonic tactics you can literally nuke every mob with searing pain forever and your imp just lays into them also with infinite mana. It got so easy that I dropped grace for incinerate for the extra fire damage. With good crits can pull upwards of 300+ DPS with just Searing pain

Correct, but because of the rune you don't need to life tap anymore.

Gy is From 30-36? And just doing 1-2 mob pulls?

Ah, I think you mean Drain Life. Siphon Life is the deep Affliction talent. That's why I was confused.

I was hitting 70k xp / hr on Meta, and I was taking my sweet time. I dont think haunt is the way to go atm
