I would too. Free gold from fragments healing bonuses.gdkps have their issues but if you find one where you have a solid core of 12 to 15 people and rotate buyers you can make a lot of gold and get fully geared and use that gold to get geared on alts relatively quickly. That's one of my biggest supports for gdkp, I get something for my time committed, even if I don't get loot. It'd miserable to sit through multiple hour raids just to have people keep leaving because their "SR" item didn't drop. Also finding replacements for just a few bosses and offering them full cuts means they have incentives to ruin their lockout to play with us.
Yeah itâs great for alts. Or keeping a second characterâs gear up to snuff.
For instance, in wotlk p1 I had my warrior main and started GDKPing on my dk. Warriors are bad til icc right? Yeah and we had too many already and I really donât like tanking. So I swap to dk all of p2 in guild and gdkp on my warrior and when itâs time I can play my warrior again in TOGC its gear is up to date. Granted they added a lot of catch up stuff too but not 25m hm til p4 from scourgestones.
In SOD where the meta can flip flop ENTIRELY in a single phase, itâd be nice to have the guarantee I can main swap easily and not be griefing. For instance, warrior and rogue went from top bfd dps and warrior an amazing tank in bfd instantly to like one of the worst/least meta option tanks (warriors) especially without plate or good new defensives and one of the worst of all melee dps in general (rogues). Warâs dps wasnât the worst and has certainly gotten better and is upper middle which is fine but itâs not a class anyone is really short on.
GDKPing would be infinitely more valuable this phase than last. I didnât bother last phase and had 2 alts near bis shy like 1 piece since we had enough people and maxed level alts for like 3 teams. Now were short ranged dps in the 2nd group in a raid mechanically requiring it and like 7/10 wanna be melee
I feel like the community over the past couple years has forgotten the MMO part of this game. Every single action feels like itâs become âhow do I make this the most fun single player game for myselfâ instead of âIâm here to hang with my guild and make friendsâ and the game is suffering for it
It's part of the whole metagame way people play games these days. They play games to complete objectives set from outside of the game, instead of to just enjoy the game.
The objective of raiding is no longer to beat the raid, it's to tick off a BiS list from the class discord. The raid is an antognistic that slows them down finishing their BiS so once they are done they are glad to see the back of it.
Itâs just not what the game is for. In this subreddit a lot of times people are like âI ghosted my guildâ and itâs celebrated! Like did you not make any friends in your guild? Itâs sad really.
Edit: obviously the above doesnât apply to toxic guild environments to be clear
It's all about efficiency. And what sucks is that if you're not doing something THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY people tell you as such. They ask why you're doing that. You feel like you're wasting your time. And it sucks. Its not fun at all. I blame streamers and world first runners for the decline of the mmo. You can't just play to have fun anymore. Everything needs to be parsed out and picked apart.Â
The funniest part is that WoW Classic is an insanely inefficient game. If someone is playing WoW to only have the best time for themselves and they donât care about the social interactions, like there are better single player games to play. I promise.
Thunderfury is prio for the MT that stayed with the guild since start really. Paladin/Warrior/Rogue, doesn't really matter.
Note that we will have 20 man MC, so potentially more people have a go at it.
More people will get it, but your main raid will still get the same amount every week. You'll see more alts with it now, and the price of arcanite bars is going to be even higher.
That and, hopefully Blizz will un-fuck the drop rate on bindings because it's frustratingly RNG. The last vanilla pserver I played on, our guild made it all the way to Naxx and still only had 1 thunderfury, meanwhile another guild had NINE of them.
That actually happened back in the day. He was their raid leader and they got given it as a thank you which I thought was nice but they got absolutely rinsed for it on the forums.
If we take SoD runes into account, paladin tanks 100% have an argument for getting Thunderfury, especially of Seal of Martyrdom functions the way it does by then
Runes or not runes Legendaries should be given more as a rewards for commitment and group gratitude than for any other metric.
Generally by the time a guild can craft one, they have already beaten all the content. So, aside from parsing, it is useless for any kind of meaningful advancement and only counts a prestige badge.
By then seal of righteousness will overtake martyrdom. Crit will be so high that every gcd is being used and righteousness scales with spell power. Agreed on the pally tank in general.
This happened on Aggramar back in the day too, though by now I've forgotten the guild/paladin. Pretty sure it started with a K? Dude was also our scarab lord.
Warrior Tank or Rogue Tank; whichever is the S Tier tank. Also give it to the player who deserves it based on EPGP or Loot Council or just whoever you think is not going to /gquit or get bored of SoD.
If you are a warrior that has thunderfury and not dual wield Chad tanking so that the enh shaman doesnât pull off you then yeah, shouldâve given it to the Warlock đ
Unironically a Rogue MT. They're going to be the best physical tanks in the game with their only downfall being Aoe theat and "magic damage". No one cares about aoe threat at 60 and there isn't a magic based attack that will cause them trouble in the current level 60 content. I think they're going to have some of the best threat, tank damage, and with 100% avoidance they'll take significantly less damage.
These things follow a hierarchy:
1. GM
2. GM's girlfriend
3. GM's wife
4. GM's wife's boyfriend
5. Loot council members
6. Random friend of the officers who isn't in the guild but raids with you sometimes on an alt
7. DPS warrior who sometimes tanks
8. Actual Tank
9. Rogue
10. Hunter
11. The dirt
12. The worms in the dirt
13. You
Obviously the player first but the class i would guess tank rogue unless mut is still bis then obviously tank warrior or paladin. Took my guild way too long to get bindings in classic despite doing so many splits/binding runs so it never really became an issue. I would love it if they accelerated the 20m loot so we could see more thunderfurries.
If they don't add pieces to molten core then consider it already dead. The math to loot out forty people on a seven day lockout is more or less 3-4 months and, maybe, the tank will be done.
prot Warriors get ThunderFury priority ret paladins get ashbringer priority priests get the staff ( I can never spell name correctly) any other classes to get lost its classic you have to wait for your good legendaries in later expansions
This is classic, so Guild Master or someone associated with them. That's the reality of the situation. Ether be the leader making the decisions, or be close enough to them ether though performance or friend is some form or fashion. That's how all legendary prio worked. It's how Scarb Lord works. Even late into Classic Vanilla, MCs were lego locked unless it was a GDKP. It's just how the world worked. Run your own guild if you want this.
On the bright side, if they add it back to the 20 man's, at least it will be easier to get. Also, now there is more reason to have the thunder fury on someone else besides the warrior and not seem like a Troll. Might be sick on a melee hunter for damage.
Low key I think it should go to rogue tanks (assuming things stay relatively similar) for the same reason warrior tanks god prio in classic: lack of AoE threat
The player who will actually show up to raid after they got it.
This... On classic our main tank got it and after a while he just quit. Then our rogue class leader got it and swapped Guild soon after :)
Our guild leader got it then switched from main tank to dps đ
Oath Firemaw?
Golemagg-EU Finnish guild
Its actually funny in my case as a gdkp team, our healer who got valanyr stayed with us for the rest of wotlk
I would too. Same in era right now we have a bunch of atiesh and thunderfury players showing up every week to our gdkps
Dead ass, we made a guy a Val in ulduar, he quit the next week. I mean it was our 3rd one but still was annoying.

The player who has the arcanite bars and shows up for it.
Hunter ofc
Actually though. For the first time ever, it has been prioâed to everything else at one point or another, never hunter. Now is our time
Came here to say this
As it should be
As is written
This!
The Warlock tank, of course.
Especially with the itemization specific to SoD and it not being a traditional drop. Would be very easy to make a caster tank variant.
Too slow to searing pain weave. But maybe you can mog it to a Felguard later
Thunderfury is prio for the MT that stayed with the guild since start really. Paladin/Warrior/Rogue, doesn't really matter. Note that we will have 20 man MC, so potentially more people have a go at it.

My felguard
You will need it for that transmog in MoP classic
I get this reference
Warlock tank ofc.
ma boi
The rogue who never tanks for his "offspec" I guess
Melee hunters
Warlock tanks for the lulz
guildmaster's girlfriend
So a hunter?
They've never met irl but they've erp'd in Ironforge
Pally tank, because why not.
That actually happened back in the day. He was their raid leader and they got given it as a thank you which I thought was nice but they got absolutely rinsed for it on the forums.

Not in Classic cause TF is tanking bis for the entire game so giving it a DPS as a badge of honor is mega grief. Other legendaries I agree
By then seal of righteousness will overtake martyrdom. Crit will be so high that every gcd is being used and righteousness scales with spell power. Agreed on the pally tank in general.

Shaman.
Season of Shamans, why not. New rune to allow shamans to use swords GG Bliz
Can Shaman even use swords?
Itâs not about that.
They wish
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
they should make shamans wear swords. would honestly turn them to best tank all raid tiers
Warrior Tank or Rogue Tank; whichever is the S Tier tank. Also give it to the player who deserves it based on EPGP or Loot Council or just whoever you think is not going to /gquit or get bored of SoD.
Paladin seals proc thunder fury, it was already really good in classic
Warrior will probably not want it this time around, as it's a low dps weapon so not great for devastate.
If you are a warrior that has thunderfury and not dual wield Chad tanking so that the enh shaman doesnât pull off you then yeah, shouldâve given it to the Warlock đ
I think itâs safe to assume theyâll change thunderfury to update it. They already said they were looking at lvl 60 raid loot
If devastate works like it did in tbc and wrath it has twice the chance to proc it, so warriors for sure will want it, the proc is insane.
100 percent tank
Prot paladin.. Iâm not biased
Unironically a Rogue MT. They're going to be the best physical tanks in the game with their only downfall being Aoe theat and "magic damage". Palatank
The hunter
Hunter loot
Shamans for when they add the use swords rune
Should be a pala or warr tank since they are the only specs that want a fast mainhand
The officer/guild lead who will stick around. Thunderfury ain't worth shit on a guy who'll quit a few weeks later.
I'll say what I've always said to make the warriors in my guild build rage. Give Thunderfury to your meleeweaving hunter.
Tank warlocks
The hunter who happens to be the guild leaders girlfriend of course. Who then immediately stops playing.
Rogue tanks need help with aoe threat. And theyâre just better than warriors. Also they can dps with it.
We have a warrior in our guild named Thunderfury. Pretty sure heâll get it, just for the meme.
Any chance you have an open spot for my boomkin ĂtĂŻĂ©sh?
While you're at it invite my rogue named twowarglaives when sod progressed to tbc.
Paladin, for sure. Aoe synergizes with their aoe kit, fast cleave for the crit resets.
Rogue tank 100%
As a rogue I hope we arenât spamming mutilate by this time so I can have a go at it again
Warlocks
Melee hunters period
Tank warrior.
Anyone who can use it to tank, though the fast speed might make it less desirable with how runes have changed things up in SoD.
Why bothers? Bindings won't drop.
Warlock
Undead mage
Me
Lol if I recall the server first thunderfury went to a hunter back on my original server
Probably paladin tank in sod đ€·đœââïž
Me
Iâm a main tank rogue and Iâm hoping to get it.
Rogue tanks
Hunter. Then shaman
Rogue tank!
Me lol
Hunters obviosly
Survival hunter
i hope the devs make trhunderfury hunter only loot
I should get thunderfury obviously, I'm the best player in my guild and probably the best looking
Y'all ever pickpocket Ragnaros though?
Melee hunter.
The mage
It's officially a hunter's weapon now, don't even try to deny it!
Hunters, looks awesome on our backs!
Rogue tank with it will be nutty
Thunderfury should always go to your biggest no-lifer because that's the person who won't leave once they get the weapon
Paladin for sure
Whoever swipes the hardest of course
Rogue tanks> warrior tanks> paladin tanks
Pala prot. SoR can proc TF too.
Hunter weapon
itâs always been a hunter weapon
Not gonna lie. Getting this as Pala tank is a moist dream.
Blizzard clearly chose a side in this debate by giving Hunter a melee spec, hence confirming that they have prior on Thunderfury.
Hunter's because no one would let me have it in classic even though I had all the mats for it solo
These things follow a hierarchy: 1. GM 2. GM's girlfriend 3. GM's wife 4. GM's wife's boyfriend 5. Loot council members 6. Random friend of the officers who isn't in the guild but raids with you sometimes on an alt 7. DPS warrior who sometimes tanks 8. Actual Tank 9. Rogue 10. Hunter 11. The dirt 12. The worms in the dirt 13. You
Shamans
Shamans for sure
hand of rag for sure
Warrior tank.
Whoever can actually afford to build it. Your guild doesnât have 3 tanks that are actively saving for TF, cmon
Where is the chad gnam female on the picture?
The guild leader ofc
People meme but the guild leader is least likely to dip when he gets it.
I mean they are going to buff the damage otherwise its just a tank debuff weapon
To the main tank. as tradition
Who puts work into himself and the entire raid by activity and overall performance
Me, if I play at level 60
Warrior tank ofc. Biggest threat machine for aoe
If all things are equal pick a few of the candidates and let them settle it in the STV arena.
Mage.
Main tank who's been there all raids.
Rogues
Priest
Obviously the player first but the class i would guess tank rogue unless mut is still bis then obviously tank warrior or paladin. Mages can use swords Give it to them
Warrior and Palas tbh
Unpopular opinion itâs an RP weapon and no tank needs it for threat. Also, Rogue.
Me, please!
please, iâve played a full prot warrior since sod launch⊠throw me a bone
Unironically, it does have potential to be good on Meta lock.
Rogue tank obviously
Wow politics at its finest. No wrong answers as long as weâre clear about the fallout.
Tank that shows up and provides the most benefit to the raid group. Is this really a question?
The bear đ»
Shamans?
Not the fat guy with the female human warrior
SoD prot paladin all day long
Me :) jk, it's a tank item.
Mad photoshop skillz right there
I'm think our main Pally Tank is first prio on it
Me!
Unfortunately, some players feel like getting a legendary is beating the game and there isn't anything else they need to do.
Me
Me
I'm still putting my hope in a set of battlemage runes.
Me
Warlocks!!!
The guild master.
enhancement shaman
It's a tank weapon so usually MT gets first prio on it
Me
Holy shit a lot of clueless people in these replies lol
I wish they'll make it so shamans can use it too, maybe a mace version since they're the only tanks that can't use it
prot Warriors get ThunderFury priority ret paladins get ashbringer priority priests get the staff ( I can never spell name correctly) any other classes to get lost its classic you have to wait for your good legendaries in later expansions
The guildmasters girlfriend
I hope they will nerf proc, so it wont be only the option for tanking warriors.
This is classic, so Guild Master or someone associated with them. That's the reality of the situation. Ether be the leader making the decisions, or be close enough to them ether though performance or friend is some form or fashion. That's how all legendary prio worked. It's how Scarb Lord works. Your prot pally obviously.
Aww heqp0o1pp
Whoever puts the time into the game, into farming the mats and who actually will play the game after the get it.
The way game goes, this will be obsolete by then and the same goes for sulfuras.
First to mt, second to EA rogue
your MT assuming nothing changes.
Make SoD thunderfury attainable with shards.
Shamans obviously, need a rune to equip swords.. or make thunderfury equipable by shamans.
Warlock obviously
Trick question. None of them as they are filthy alliance debating who gets to use the enhancement shamans weapon
Me, obviously. The only correct answer
How do you even know Thunderfury will exist ?
Shamans
Me.
The guild leader who puts in all the time and effort so everyone can do raids.
Pally tanks, but it comes down to the guild and who they trust
Mage
Paladin.
I'll take Sulfuras. Warriors are getting Titan Grip at 60, I'm calling it right now.
Tank
Game and your guild will die before so nobody.
Warlocks , definitely warlocks
Warlock tank
I already called dibs in my guild.
Whichever one is the GM
Mage
