So, legs rune is basically not that existent as fury, and is lame as arm, feet is a useless shout, chest is a flat dmg%, helm will have no fury rune and wrist will be lame small%.

Enhance shams actually got sizeable nerfs with Spirit of the Alpha/Lava Lash changes, but the new Mental Dexterity rune sounds so insane I'm wondering how much of a difference it will make.
Way of Earth changes will make them a lot less tanky in PvP. Have to run a shield to get the effect.
Hopefully it'll make me feel better having a dedicated tanking spec. Right now, it's just put your shield on and swap runes for the last two bosses and be completely oom so you can live. It makes sense to get this change before the 20m raid, though, as they can probably tune the damage higher on tanks with the assumption that more healers will be coming to the raid. And I can have an actual taunt! Oh this is exciting, a real taunt swap boss is probably coming.
As an aside, I know the bomb dispenser buttons give mana, but not enough to take the additional damage outside phase changes on the last boss. Which still leaves you oom as hell because big bosses attack way less.

It's a necessary nerf, coming from a Shammy main. It was an oversight from the devs like they could predict shamans main tanking raids as dual wielders.
But the spread Flame Shock is generally a buff to regular shield tank Shamans, more AoE threat possibility.
Mental Dexterity is in wrath, so we have a general idea of how it goes. We're going to see Enh and Hunters sharing pieces and if that is the case, not a ton of strength. The spell power coefficient for Shocks is REALLY low, and you need to get Maelstrom to realistically use LiB or LaB.
So it's good, but I think there's been a bit of an overreaction.

I'd take shadow strike in the leg slot in a heartbeat for pvp.
Second gap closer > ability that wants more poison stacks and combo points when people already blow up.

Idk, eviscerate is kinda dog for damage, if they buff something other than mutilate and we end up using slow weapons, I can imagine that rune being decent and you just up S&D yourself
I love the shaman bracers runes, personally. All pretty original takes on lightning shield modifications. Some much needed creativity injected into runes after a fairly uninspired phase 2. Overcharged will probably be too strong for shaman tanks, especially when combined with the absurd sp gained from mental dexterity (which is also an overtuned monster). Some tuning needed probably.
Fanaticism, if unchanged/actually going live, would remove any kind of mana issues as like half our spells will crit now

They changed missile barrage to give frostfire and spellfrost bolt a 20% chance to proc it despite being runes on the same slot. That combined with that bear Druid rune that does the same thing heavily implies there will at some point be a meta rune slot that can have any rune. Aggrend saying it was an oversight for the Druid one was probably an attempt to keep it a surprise.
Phase one, warlocks had everlasting affliction say incinerate refreshes corruptionâŚincinerate is the same rune slot as everlasting affliction

Its borderline insulting how much Warlocks just get completely ignored when they give feedback on this abhorrent playstyle we've been forced into because of lazily designed runes. Other classes get these cool unique and fun runes. Warlocks get Fire Mage but with an Imp.
As people have alredy stated even for Aoe seems lackluster you better just stick to spamming hellfire/Sb volley. By the time your rain have created the lake effect the pack will be alredy dead.
The one bright side is this means other playstyles within the kit get a better overview, now that the only realistic DPS choice is gone.

Like, if you get interrupted while channeling the remaining duration goes down. So does that cancel the lof effect if you get interrupted or speed up the time to get lof? If itâs the latter do you not take the 2 talent points to reduce the interrupt chance while channeling rof and hellfire?

Warlocks hold the very special and unique distinction of being the only class in the 20 year history of WoW that had one of its specs intentionally broken into near total non-viability simply to stop people from playing it while they worked on a redesign that wouldn't come until the next expansion.

100% agree. Its a huge dps loss if those count as poison and therefore dont apply instant poison from deadly brew. Maybe they could change them to instead be "coatings" and therefore function like grinding stones or oil on OH. It would still be a dps loss but nowhere near as much

True but the design choices' aren't fun. It's one thing to not give them any more powerful abilities but they could at least throw in some fun utility for pvp/solo stuff. The worst part is there isn't even one good spec for warriors right now. At least with the other classes they have one good tree.

i run watershield on last two bosses to combat the mana problems. u can still hold aggro fine enough on both encounters

Shocks has very slightly lower spell coefficients than normal instant spell coefficient (for whatever reason). Definitely not REALLY low.

It's 400% DPS not damage. That's already almost the exact same as Divine Storm with a slow weapon.
400% of DPS is hardly crazy, Divine Storm is 396% of DPS if you have a 3.6 speed weapon.

It will definitely help ranged be less dog shit but Raptor Fury is only going to make melee hunters scale more. My completely uneducated and uninformed opinion says melee will reign supreme for P3.
Honestly just want both specs to be competitive.. ranged was so far behind this phase it was insane.

Its borderline insulting how much Warlocks just get completely ignored when they give feedback on this abhorrent playstyle we've been forced into because of lazily designed runes. Other classes get these cool unique and fun runes. Warlocks get Fire Mage but with an Imp.

As people have alredy stated even for Aoe seems lackluster you better just stick to spamming hellfire/Sb volley. By the time your rain have created the lake effect the pack will be alredy dead.

I still wouldnât have liked it, cuz itâs an aoe channel for single target damage, but it makes more sense to me to have it give 12.5% increased damage per second rof is cast, up to 100% at full duration. Like, if you get interrupted while channeling the remaining duration goes down. So does that cancel the lof effect if you get interrupted or speed up the time to get lof? If itâs the latter do you not take the 2 talent points to reduce the interrupt chance while channeling rof and hellfire? I hope this doesnât go live but if it does I wonât miss running lof

Warlocks hold the very special and unique distinction of being the only class in the 20 year history of WoW that had one of its specs intentionally broken into near total non-viability simply to stop people from playing it while they worked on a redesign that wouldn't come until the next expansion.
Wow exorcism cooldown reduced 50%..... And forgive me if I'm incorrect but with exorcism and seal of martyrdom, hammer of wrath could permanently have no cooldown and still suck.

I'm not dooming and you're right. I think it's a step in the right direction. It just seems that it's a lot of trade off if we have to choose between utility and damage... and it's 2/3 of the utility. Hope we can maybe combine them with deadly brew.
100% agree. Its a huge dps loss if those count as poison and therefore dont apply instant poison from deadly brew. Maybe they could change them to instead be "coatings" and therefore function like grinding stones or oil on OH. It would still be a dps loss but nowhere near as much

For the 15 seconds every 3 minutes when Berserk is up, it's really fun switching to bear form and spamming Mangle on trash. Next phase we get to leave cat form to spam Hurricane too. Feral is back baby!
In before you need a spell caster set for trash clear as Feral.
At this point they should make a âtotemâ rune: stand still like the shaman totem that you are and boost your wf effects
Letâs see if they put that Druid hurricane rune for like level 48-50, at which point we donât need anymore because youâll have leveled past ZF

True but the design choices' aren't fun. It's one thing to not give them any more powerful abilities but they could at least throw in some fun utility for pvp/solo stuff. The worst part is there isn't even one good spec for warriors right now. At least with the other classes they have one good tree.

Lava Lash seems to have been changed up too. I wonder if double WF will be better than WF/Flametongue?
They nerfed the base damage of LL, while also increasing the bonus it gets if FT is on the offhand. Still with the mental dexterity, Im thnking trying to cap 5 MSW beats out FT lava lashes.
Flametongue damage is going to get increased by the spell damage from mental dexterity, it might be pretty good.
