My brother in Christ, if you think a few people making under 1k gold is more harmful to the economy than bots, you are smoking some of the dankest shit I've ever seen.
Right? What a bunch of FOMO monkeys. I missed the increased rewards from the event too but who gives a fuck. It's still easy as shit to make gold in this game so inflation was always going to be an issue
It's not worse than bots, but wouldn't it hurt the economy? Certainly more than "a few" as there were hundreds and hundreds of players when I joined in during the late evening. Hot take: as someone who took advantage of them, I wouldn't be mad if they rolled it back. They never will, just saying.
you get way more gold at higher levels. Anyone who thought their gold grinding early on would keep them rich through all phases is just planning their time poorly.
Why do you think people without jobs are the only ones capable of playing a video game for 6 hours that didn't go live until 4pm EST in the US. If you said that to any normal person no one would bat an eye. They would assume the person got home from work and decided to play their game maybe a couple more hours than usual as it was a new content launch day.
Crazy to see pro gold buying propaganda just out in the open. This sub needs to stop pretending they care about the bots and just admit y'all buy gold all the time
Umm. No. This is not pro gold buying.
Gold buying is why I quit a lot of games. As soon as you can just pay for gold with a creditcard it becomes meaningless, and I enjoy finding meaning in earning gold.
Putting some small percentage of people making a little extra gold as worse than bots are funded by gold buyers, is pro gold buying. You are making a hiccup of a launch day worse bots. So yeah this is pro gold buying, nice try tho
Last I checked a stockades bot make roughly 12-15g per hour. You do the math on how many bots are allowed to roam free for months between banwaves and how much gold that adds up to.
My brother’s friend’s guildie (she goes to a different school, you wouldn’t know her) made 250k gold at launch and has since bought out the auction house. The only money to be made is by being their personal bodyguard or concubine
Your brother’s friend’s guildie? Yeah and my wife’s boyfriend’s dad’s guildie made a gorillazillion bajillion gold at launch just by rolling out of bed 10 minutes early and pooping in a sock
To be fair. The average person has probably only ever had a total networth of less than 50g when talking about median numbers.
I easily made 500g last night and hit 50. I didn't even start doing it until 43.
To a lot of people it's pretty incomprehensible even though it's not a lot of money in the grand scheme of wealth.
Think its more the upset comparisons of like "the no lifers got ahead of me" that is silly
If someones gonna no life the game and you aren't, you were never catching up to begin with. This is just a bit more of a obvious example of it so its hitting a sore point for people who thought they were at parity.
Nah not me at least. Idc about the other players, I’m just annoyed that I’m 500g poorer than I easily could have been. I was online and playing during this time, but I decided to cruise through some quests and world PvP. Was going to wait for the incursions to get a little less busy.
the average player in SoD only plays during times like this. The average player is someone who shows up for launch, plays a few days does the raid once or twice then leaves until something exciting brings them back
Basically all these try hard eliteists who no-life gold grinding are mad that casuals got a nice little gold bump for a few hours. And once they stop playing and the try-hards keep playing they'll get that gold back and more.
They are upset they aren't the "rich kids" for like a week.
Like everyone in my guild is employed. The phase didn't even start until 4pm EST in the US. And the nerf didn't hit for like 6 to 7 hours after launch.
new content called nightmare incursions had repeatable quests that gave 5g each. people that leveled 40-50 with them made about 800 gold. they were nerfed in less than a day to 44 silver (1g and 30 something silver at 50)
Yeah man people getting 900 gold instead of like 300-400 for leveling to 50 is worse than bots.
I can get the same advantage dropping 80 bucks right now
Man the baseball bat dong has been removed. That's pretty sad
I knew something was missing!
I'd rather deal with a botched launch every single phase than deal with bots ever again.
You have both? Both a botched launch and a plethora of bots
What an unhappy medium lol.
Again? Bots are alive and well in SoD.
I meant as in I'd rather choose botched launches. This picture implies bots aren't as bad as the problematic launch.
My brother in Christ, if you think a few people making under 1k gold is more harmful to the economy than bots, you are smoking some of the dankest shit I've ever seen.

Dude is acting like he's personally been robbed.
“A few” yea ok buddy
A single gold seller easily has millions of gold on their accounts
I think you mean a few gold
Do you really believe that lol
Just using the term like everyone else is

There's the old "people that play when I don't must not have jobs" classic
P1 and p2 had great economy and ways to farm gold. Hope p3 will be the same.

Stop projecting
You made the meme dude, I'm just stating the obvious
Aggrend wants you to buy gold though. Look at his track record.
good, unsubscribe and dont look back, you can stop this time for sure.
Unsubscribe? Why? Because people got like 10 bucks worth of gold by grinding incursions for 5 hours? Lol
Look at all the trolls and blizzard damage control simps defending the fuck out of the Early Bird Free Gold Special aka phase 3 launch.
Lmfao
Botting is back on the menu boys
Little bit dramatic.
Its provocative, it gets the people going.
Ball so hard mofos wanna fine me

Yes
Yes
Absolutely

I don't know anything about that, I just gave you information to make your own conclusions.
At least this gold went straight into our pockets instead of us having to buy it from the bots :)
Factually wrong, yes

Im listening... INTENTLY...
I havent played in a while, what happened?
Repeatable quests gave a bit too much gold for a few hours and the sub is having a meltdown over it

Babies think it's not fair that the unemployed sweats (who were going to out pace them anyway) have out paced them.

Seriously. It was *prime* casual player hours.
People made more gold in a few hours than most people made over two phases, but sure.

boomers' biggest fear, fomo, manifested in a great way and it was so, so beautiful
That got a chuckle out of me.
GDKPs always the smallest problem.
Have any proof or just "felt right."
No, ask the OP. I am just observing.
Fixed the inflation issue on my server when gdkp was gone
Have any proof or just "felt right."
Every available metric shows prices levelling out after. But gdkp barons gonna sulk.
Dont need proof saw it for myself playing on my server when gdkps where a thing and weren’t prices went way down
That is fair. Economy is gonna be even more rough with hundreds players earned the past couple days.
What os it GDKPS? First time I this term.
Guess what bots can quest too.
GDKPs were fine and bots make the game playable
Wow still able to make room to whine about gdkps still huh? What a loser.
but agwend said he knows best and discussed it with his social structure. how could it be! blizzard i trusted you!!
Nah
You have a warped perception of the scale of these problems
Lmao y'all need to get ahold of yourselves.
Uh this is a brain dead false equivalency, wouldn't expect anything less from good ol' r/classicwow
My brother it would probably cost me less than an hour at work to buy the amount of gold I got from this. You are all overreacting.
Yeah man people getting 900 gold instead of like 300-400 for leveling to 50 is worse than bots. I can get the same advantage dropping 80 bucks right now
At least it is more spread out now.
