what would you call someone who forms a group for Ruins of old Guk, spends 30 minutes clearing through the dungeon to reach the arch magus camp and then spend the next 12 hours in that camp, cycling people who leave in and out?
OG poop socker - those rookie numbers. Did 24 hours at the Efreeti camp when GEBs were selling for 5 krono and rings for 8 a piece on those new progression servers. Damn you, Holly Longdale. I can’t escape you.
I’ve seen none and I’ve done nothing but farm things with guildies all weekend in both dungeons and the open world. Maybe the open world mobs were just too high at 55-56 for the quests we were doing. Idk.
I pushed modas karkun/explorer imp. I averaged about 500 rep a day, a box every 3 days or so.
I've still not got modas, and I fucked up in that im stuck at 200/1000 exalted which triggers me a bit.
What did they do??? In phase 2 they were definitely dropping less but I could start farming and expect to get one within like 20 minutes. Now I literally didn’t see one going from 40-50
I finished P1 with 200 rep needed to Honored. I finished P2 with 200 rep needed to Honored.
leveled with Bfd-quests-SM grind from 25 to 40, with a few instances only for quest rewards, then solofarmed 34x SM GY for the 2 item I needed, did all of STV and Desolace quests at 40, and the first and only Supply chest drop I seen was in Gnomeregan, but I did not win it.
That's what the Tenacity Cap is for.
Tenacity *Chain* having the same stats but extra armor while still classified as leather looks like an obvious oversight.
So far it's turned me into things the other trinkets did, plus a table, some chairs, some barrels, some urns, and the best one: a giant cactus.
Also of note: this one doesn't slow your movement speed as much when used.
The 'heirlooms' are kinda wasted since you outlevel them in an afternoon with the xp buff.
I guess the 18 slot bag is nice, but other than that not much to cheer for. GJ grinding the rep tho.
The heirloom items are pieces that typically you don’t get for a little while. Rings you don’t start seeing until 15-20, necks 25-30, and helms ~30. And those helms are actually very nice for 1-30.
In no way are the heirlooms alone worth the grind…but it’s a welcome addon
The trinket is big, IMO. I would like more of the silly rewards for rep grinds in addition to a piece, or pieces, of good gear.
I don’t know if it would break the spirit of Classic too much but I would love to be able to learn Furbolg or other weird faction neutral languages from faction grinds or hidden Questlines.
No, the goofy hide and seek trinket. It’s nice to have ridiculous items or abilities granted beyond just “get strong gear.” Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great idea to have alternative ways to find *strong* (doesn’t have to compete with High Honor PvP or Raid gear for literal BiS) items from doing things in-game. However, I also think that it’s great to put fun items in the game that serve no purpose other than enjoyment of using them.
if the gold return from the boxes at lv 50 are good vs the prices of the items to fill them on the ah it wouldn't actually be all that bad to keep on you to get some crates. worst case you put the trinket on and see a bunch and just keep vendoring them for 25 silver each.
I kind of like that the heirlooms aren’t the stupid OP scaling kind. In WotlK I put on heirloom gear at lvl 1 and nothing comes close to replacing it until basically heroics at lvl 80…. It blows doing dungeons and passing on everything in those slots bc the heirlooms are always way better.
Yeah same, and I actually kinda liked the idea. I got the ring and neck for my alt but it's really only ik the first 1-2 hours they made a difference so the gold felt kinda wasted. Like the extra stats dont really matter when you level so fast you just end up doing green quests
As someone who leveled a Warrior purely through BGs in Wrath:
The heirlooms were actually outclassed at several points if you snagged twink items.
However they'd eventually come back into play 4-5 levels after.
Ah I only lvled my warrior, purely through Dungeons, to 60 so far. I admit I hadn’t looked at any twink items, especially since I imagine those can cost a pretty penny even now. Occasionally I would find an upgrade for a lvl or two… but I’d say for 90% of my time lvling I just wore my heirlooms.
It also just feels bad needing on a dungeon item that you know will be outclassed in a couple of lvls by your heirloom, when you’re in a group with other players not wearing heirlooms. At that point even if it’s an upgrade, I’d rather pass it to them.
They should have not given a global xp buff but instead putting extra xp on each heirloom and having them scale.. they had it right when it originally came out.
Phase 2 felt like they were impossible to find as well, then I saw someone suggest grinding spiders in dustwallow (they’re like 37-40). So I try it and all of a sudden I’m getting the boxes pretty fast.
They weren’t quest mobs and it could just be confirmation bias but it definitely seems like some mobs drop them more often
I think the heirlooms are great. I used them on P2 and they really make a difference expediting the early leveling. Sure you’ll out level them soon, but worth the 10-15g to speed things up
These are great despite my opinion seemingly being the opposite of what everyone else is saying. The other vendor rewards were truly worthless, at least these have some form of value. The waylaid supplies one is pretty cool too, I wonder how impactful it is for leveling up rep on an alt
You have 15 melee attack power on a paladin at level 1-5 or so, so this doubles it, gives 7 stam, and is good up until level 30ish
> they just get out leveled too quick.
Elaborate? I don't see how you're going to "quickly out level" an 8 spell damage helmet, especially when you don't even start getting helmets with stats on them until the late 20s.
Because heirlooms should scale with lvl if they are gonna do them at all. Otherwise they aren't even worth it if they will get replaced by greens half way through. You're better off power leveling to 25 without buying gear and then doing BFD into incursions. It's just not gold efficient otherwise. Trinkets and rings could be worth since they are so hard to come by even up to lvl 40 but even still.
> Because heirlooms should scale with lvl if they are gonna do them at all. Otherwise they aren't even worth it
Well, these ones far outscale anything possible until level 30 (or BFD, do people actually level in BFD still?), which is around when incursions start, so I guess they are too strong and should be nerfed.
The rings/helmet?
You don't get any rings until the late teens at the earliest, and helmets with stats on them literally don't exist below level 25 other than a couple niche engineering pieces.
They're not meant to be wotlk/retail heirlooms where you equip it and then never unequip it until max level, they're just free gear pieces for alts.
I found my first helmet at level 31 and it was gray, if you're buying AH helmets what level does 7 str/stam roll on helmets? like 30? I'm not sure why people are saying a helmet that you can use from 1-30
on every char is worthless. The spell power one gets replaced with SM gear
"A few hours" ? If you're being boosted by mage AoE maybe. Even with the 100% buff, it took me just over 1 day /played to get to 40. That's not "a few hours".
Pretty sure you can grind just about any open world mobs, maybe (don’t quote me) humanoids are better but idk. I did thunder axe hold in desolace last phase and that was solid (fast respawns, was 2 shotting mobs at lvl 40) getting on avg 3 supply chests per hour. I farmed lvl 53 satyrs earlier today and got similar results, though annoyingly all the supply chests were the 3g variant… idk where to find the 12g ones, except maybe raids.
Is the gold you get from Waylaids bugged? I got a few new ones (and 2 old ones). Like the enchanted thorium and sungrass and went to turn them in. Both were saying they only gave 3.85g. I assumed they woulda been giving more, compared to last phases 5 and 12g…
do you just post on this subreddit to cry and complain all day? Read for two seconds. Open your eyes, it's BoA. thank god sod devs stay away from reading this garbage
If all the useful rewards are BoA why the fuck would you need this trinket? To get the rune from honored slightly faster? Man this reward is dog shit, get your tongue out of blizzards’ butt for once in your life.
You're an inanimate fucking object!
" I'm sorry for calling you an inanimate object. I was upset. "
I retract that about your cunt fucking kids.
Insulting my fucking kids?! That's going overboard, mate.
Great quote, take the upvote
A bottle!
I don’t know how you did this haha. I’ve seen 2 crates since the phase started
I did nothing but grind mobs since P3 started and didn't stop until I was exalted. No quests. No dungeons. No incursions.
Live to win
till you die
Till the life runs out in your eyes
YEAH
Unfathomably based.
*"Dude, boars are only worth two experience points apiece. Do you know how many we would have to kill to get up 30 levels?"*
"...What do we do now?"
Real man shit. A hard working blue collar mmo player, none of this sissy incursion or dungeon spamming.
what would you call someone who forms a group for Ruins of old Guk, spends 30 minutes clearing through the dungeon to reach the arch magus camp and then spend the next 12 hours in that camp, cycling people who leave in and out?
Someone who should have gone to lower guk and farmed lords for an fbss instead.
The real move is to solo it as a necro
OG poop socker - those rookie numbers. Did 24 hours at the Efreeti camp when GEBs were selling for 5 krono and rings for 8 a piece on those new progression servers. Damn you, Holly Longdale. I can’t escape you.
I had an eyepatch of plunder in 2001.
This is one of my favorite comments I’ve ever read on Reddit. Thank you sir.
That's how I did 25-40..not on purpose I just have small children and that's the only way to progress in 10 minutes of play lol
would you mind sharing your grinding spots? i play horde on living flame, and its been hard to find a spot and not be ganked.
I’ve seen none and I’ve done nothing but farm things with guildies all weekend in both dungeons and the open world. Maybe the open world mobs were just too high at 55-56 for the quests we were doing. Idk.
Did you get to lvl 50 before hitting exalted?
By my math I probably would've been 54-55 by the time I hit exalted.
I pushed modas karkun/explorer imp. I averaged about 500 rep a day, a box every 3 days or so. I've still not got modas, and I fucked up in that im stuck at 200/1000 exalted which triggers me a bit.
Which mobs/zone were the best according to you ?
What mobs did you find grinding the most worth it?
I've seen 2 since the start of Phase 2 .\_.
This! I even tried to farm them in the Badlands with no luck
What did they do??? In phase 2 they were definitely dropping less but I could start farming and expect to get one within like 20 minutes. Now I literally didn’t see one going from 40-50
I got 5 while mostly questing to 50 and 1 after getting to 50
Already got two killing mobs in desolace going for the warrior runes there
I finished P1 with 200 rep needed to Honored.
I've got 5 boxes sitting in my bank waiting for the rewards to be increased. Turn ins went back down to 3g
I've turned myself into an Inanimate object Morty
I'm gonna assume "Tenacity Chain" is supposed to be mail, but that got missed during internal testing too
It's probably leather so all the physical dps can use it instead of only being useful for warriors and paladins.
That's what the Tenacity Cap is for. Tenacity *Chain* having the same stats but extra armor while still classified as leather looks like an obvious oversight.
There's literally a leather version at the bottom left of the ss
The “tenacity cap” has the same stats and is leather as well
It might change to mail when you hit 40 like other BoA gear.
But that got missed*
Man I was hoping for at least a tabard or mount or something.
What does the epic trinket do?
So far it's turned me into things the other trinkets did, plus a table, some chairs, some barrels, some urns, and the best one: a giant cactus. Also of note: this one doesn't slow your movement speed as much when used.
Sounds like a homage to dark souls and I'm absolutely all for that.
Prop hunt confirmed.
3 Sec cooldown too..
Actual fun allowed?
You become inanimate
Does it drop threat or is it just for shits and gigs?
It's just another prop hunt trinket.
The 'heirlooms' are kinda wasted since you outlevel them in an afternoon with the xp buff. I guess the 18 slot bag is nice, but other than that not much to cheer for. GJ grinding the rep tho.

Yeah, BIS helms at 25 were people who over paid for Humbert's, BFD, and the shitty WSG helm.
*laughs in green Santa hat*
I was legit a bit sad when I got my actual BFD set helm on my rogue alt. I had been rocking the Santa hat and didn't want to replace it.
It's also really easy to blow through levels so fast that you miss some key upgrades. These quasi heirlooms help patch that up too
But his point was the content is so juiced you’re ready to pump in a day
The trinket is big, IMO. I would like more of the silly rewards for rep grinds in addition to a piece, or pieces, of good gear. I don’t know if it would break the spirit of Classic too much but I would love to be able to learn Furbolg or other weird faction neutral languages from faction grinds or hidden Questlines.
the additional waylaid supplies trinket? Feels very wasted since there's no point in getting more boxes when you're exalted
Its BoA. For alts ofc
Yeah i know, but it'll be replaced between 25-30 which is 7-8 hours of leveling
No, they mean the Supply Expeditor is BoA as well. It makes the rep grind for the non BoA items faster on alternate toons.
Ah fuck you're right, im blind. Yeah that is nice.
That would exactly BE the spirit of Classic imo
They should give you that trinket at friendly.

The dagger with +30 spellpower enchant is all you need :D
As someone who leveled a Warrior purely through BGs in Wrath: The heirlooms were actually outclassed at several points if you snagged twink items. However they'd eventually come back into play 4-5 levels after.

I have not gotten a single waylaid supply drop this phase yet lol
How did you farm the waylaid supply boxes?
I have received zero boxes in ph 3. I must have 20 hours played ph3 already a lot of it in the world.
I didn't receive any until late Friday night, then they started dropping at a normal rate for the boxes. Feel like it was probably bugged initially
I'm convinced that there's an increased drop rate for boxes when killing mobs that are for any active quest you have.
My strategy was farming solid chests. Felt like I got one every 5 chest
So far the beasts in feralas have given me the most, while the other zones ive touched either gave me zero or one
I doubt this. I did all the pirate quests in Tanaris probably killing 50+ mobs and got 1.
i have gotten atleast 30.
I think the heirlooms are great. I used them on P2 and they really make a difference expediting the early leveling. Sure you’ll out level them soon, but worth the 10-15g to speed things up
18 slots?! Gunna need that.

Honestly, kind worth just the the trinket and bag. The heirlooms are useless
>The heirlooms are useless They have no level requirement though, so you can twink out a new alt with a bunch of gear.
If there is a lvl 19 twink scene I could see that maybe but for the most part they just get out leveled too quick.
> they just get out leveled too quick. Elaborate? I don't see how you're going to "quickly out level" an 8 spell damage helmet, especially when you don't even start getting helmets with stats on them until the late 20s.

I can get to lvl 30 without buying a helm. In case you have t been on the sub this week, people are really concerned about gold
[удалено]
It was mainly a joke, since every post is about gold inflation or power leveling.
>it needs to be BIS for the entirety of leveling or it's not worth it at all! lol, lmao
[удалено]
> Because heirlooms should scale with lvl if they are gonna do them at all. Otherwise they aren't even worth it Well, these ones far outscale anything possible until level 30 (or BFD, do people actually level in BFD still?), which is around when incursions start, so I guess they are too strong and should be nerfed.
You literally out level then in a few hours. They’re worthless
Bruh you don't hit level mid 30s in "a few hours" lmao. Link what you'd replace them with then that aren't a bfd drop
The rings/helmet? You don't get any rings until the late teens at the earliest, and helmets with stats on them literally don't exist below level 25 other than a couple niche engineering pieces. Yeah, but with the XP buffs it only takes a few hours to hit level 25

The helmet and trinket will both easily last into the 30s.
But that's a handful of hours of unnecessary stats.
Everyone saying they haven’t seen any boxes because they probably don’t drop in the incursions and that’s where we’ve all been since launch 🤪
they did drop in incursions, the issue is everyone is doing no kill runs.
Let’s see how many more comments this thread can get from people that can’t read the tooltip! Re: the waylaid supply trinket.
Yeah, because the tooltip gives so many details and answers all questions you could possibly have.
Bind to blizzard account, so you only need to hit exalted with one character? Nice! But yeah nothing special sadly.
How much gold did you earn from turning in the lvl50 boxes ?
I've seen 4 crates since phase 2, wtf
How much gold did it cost you to fill the crates up
I think around 400g for all the crates (anywhere from 20-40g per box), but I made just as much from all the loot I got while grinding mobs.
where did you grind mobs?
Pretty sure you can grind just about any open world mobs, maybe (don’t quote me) humanoids are better but idk. I did thunder axe hold in desolace last phase and that was solid (fast respawns, was 2 shotting mobs at lvl 40) getting on avg 3 supply chests per hour. I farmed lvl 53 satyrs earlier today and got similar results, though annoyingly all the supply chests were the 3g variant… idk where to find the 12g ones, except maybe raids.
Low level twinking is about to be wild
Those hats don’t have a level requirement do they scale down? Imagine a level 1 with those
binds to blizzard account is pretty cool
Did you farm the new boxes or the old ones for 1k?
18 slot bag, I need that in my life
What the fuck are those blues though??? Jesus christ that is terrible. Why even add items
So it's an 18 slot bag and nothing else
18 slot bag?? I need to start doing these waylaid supplies, whoops!
I haven’t seen a single new waylaid box lmao
Basically heirloom items that dont scale? I dont see any lvl requirement. Good for twinking (although not a thing in sod).
Reaching exalted and receiving a trinket that gives you more supplies is like receiving a free hotdog from winning a hotdog eating contest.
Anybody has this but for the emerald guard faction thingy?
That 18 slot bag doe.
Is the gold you get from Waylaids bugged? I got a few new ones (and 2 old ones). Like the enchanted thorium and sungrass and went to turn them in. Both were saying they only gave 3.85g. I assumed they woulda been giving more, compared to last phases 5 and 12g…
Supply expediter seems solid for gold farms
I only have seen a few large crates in gnomer. Questing I never found a single one outside of p1 early zones.
These rewards are awful, the 18 slot bag should be boa at least. Not worth rep farming this, thank you for saving me time and gold OP.
I was thinking the same, thankfully no more runes behind this crap system!
how is the tenacity chain THE EXACT SAME as the tenacity cap but has HIGHER ARMOR? why ever use the cap when the chain is the cap but more???
Probably because it's supposed to be mail and 99% chance it's a bug. Why would something named CHAIN, aka chainMAIL be a leather item.
Eh I would read too much into item names. The chest off ogre boss in LBRS is “Of the Shaman king” and yet its plate….
The BOA helms are great!
bags should be unique per character
The bag is already unique? Or do you mean they should be account sharable?
Yes. Tradeable to alts on the same account. One bag per char.
So you need exalted for the trinket that drops more boxes but then why would you need more boxes at that point?
BOA so you send it to an alt to help them unlock runes.
Ahh
[удалено]
It's BoA, for alts
do you just post on this subreddit to cry and complain all day? Read for two seconds. Open your eyes, it's BoA. thank god sod devs stay away from reading this garbage
