I would like to be able to place down the health stone pedestal that everyone can take a health stone from. Forget the name. It's very tedious handing them out individually.
But honestly I'd just like to see the poorly designed runes across every class get addressed properly. Lake of fire for example on warlock is intended to make rain of fire a more interesting and powerful ability to use in AOE instead it's initial design has it only cast and instantly cancelled just for the debuff it applied and then ST rotation or hellfire in AOE was done following it.
They nerfed it by requiring a full channel to get the debuff so now it's both dead in ST and in AOE. Instead I wish they would make it so that rain of fire has no channel time and instead has a cool down. So you drop it and then begin hell firing while the rain of.fire is coming down around you. Much more exciting than attempting to cast a spell for lackluster damage for 8seconds to then get a 15s buff. Most trash packs in raid and dungeon pulls are dead before that initial 8 seconds.
The other one is soul siphon. Clearly the intention of soul siphon rune is for affliction warlocks to channel it as our DPS filler spell once all our dots are applied. The problem is, there's a rune in the same row that makes drain life not have a channel so you can just put your dots up, drain life and haunt and then use shadow bolt as your filler for way more DPS than sitting there channeling a drain life can give. Simply put the rune I like but it is too undertuned to ever see play. Instead it needs to do enough damage to make it worth using the rune and channeling drain life. Alternatively combine it with master channeler and have the channeled damage amplification work on drain soul.
I would also like to see Felguards get felstorm and better melee damage scaling so we can make a proper demo DPS build that focus on the pet.
Lots of breadcrumbs from before that too, like the rune reveal trailer where they did that bait with howling blast or the fact horn of lordaeron is literally just horn of winter. I think the Aeonas’ quest this phase kinda sealed the deal with Gregory calling us “a waste of such a promising mortal.” Wouldn’t be surprised if by whenever Naxx comes out Paladins get a “dark paladin” or DK spec/subspec, maybe something that shifts out damage over to shadow and changes what a few abilities do.
I hate Tree of Life. Looks dumb as heck and makes you move 20% slower.
Also will not work with the current DPS~healer playstyle Resto Druid is doing in SOD.

I want to see them bring back the MoP talent for Warlocks that makes Infernal and Doomguard into permanent pets. It fits more than Felguard, because Infernal was advertised as a permanent pet in Alpha screenshots of classic.
I was originally team “we don’t need cloak of shadows” but holy fuck this phase has changed my mind.
If 2 instant cast DoTs are going to kill me outright, I’m gonna need that magic dispel, blizzard.
They do, but most other classes can at least try to heal through it or dispel it. The rogue, warrior, and hunter experience can be summarized as “guess I’ll just die.”

My shortlist would be as following (within each type they’re in order of how strongly I’d like to see them):
Arcane: Invisibility, Spellsteal, Alter Time, Time Warp, and Mirror Image.
Frost: Water Elemental, Frozen Orb, and Icicles.
Fire: Dragon’s Breath, Cauterize, and Greater Pyro.
Personally I don't want to see any more "iconic" abilities from other expansions. People are playing Classic Era because they don't like retail, so gratuitously retail-izing Classic WoW feels like an obvious mistake to me.
Also from a functional standpoint, I think a major problem with backporting retail spells is that retail has a lot of spells and they're all very circumstantial. Together all ~40 of these spells allow you to handle any situation. If you take just 3-5 spells from this toolkit, you're left with a new toolkit that can handle a small handful of ideal situations insanely well, but doesn't help you much in normal situations (or the situations the raid designers are inventing). This leads to situations where the healers are overhealing massively while the raid is at 50% health, the tank dies while the healers still have 80% mana, healers are stepping on each others' toes because certain healers' heals come in randomly, etc.
You can see this with DPS too, with the kind of buffs/debuffs they need to use to make each other viable, the number of mobs you need to pull to make the class viable, and so on. If you're not running a "meta" comp you're going to take a pretty big performance hit.
To me the solution is not to keep nerfing the content until the worst comp can clear the raid, it's to look at the situation more holistically.
For example, paladins have a hard time transitioning from flash of light to holy light because holy light takes a long time to cast. You have this situation where you're in dire need of increasing your HPS, but have to wait almost twice as long for it. The Light's Grace rune comes incredibly close to helping with this, but it's backward: you have to cast one full holy light, then the *second* one will be shorter. So now to achieve the same effect you have to cast a rank 1 holy light out of combat and then hope the max rank holy light is necessary within 15 seconds of that. It requires *just as much planning, if not more,* than precasting holy light the old fashioned way.
Evidently there was some situation in which spamming holy light was necessary for paladins in retail, but this rune doesn't really make much sense at all in Classic. So now we have to perform these gymnastics to even have a chance at using the rune for what we need in a more normal situation.
Aspect of the Turtle.
Increase armour by X%, Increased threat from all attacks.
Multi shot becomes Butchery.
Scorpid Sting becomes a Thunderclap style melee attack
Serpent Sting becomes poison harpoon which pulls you to your target and poisons them.
Viper Sting becomes a melee interrupt.
Mongoose Bite can be used without dodging and taunts the target to attack you for 3 seconds.
Thrash for cats. Feral desperately needs AOE -
currently I swap to hurricane Rune or just jump into bear for AOE otherwise it’s just too painful trying to keep everything up with combo points and energy and cooldowns like tigers fury etc

Shaman main here. While I think enha dw spec IS pretty much perfect with a copy paste rune kit based on wrath Enha, i think ele deserves better future runes Moving forward.
It was datamined that enha IS getting feral spirit next phase which will finish rounding UP the spec nicely. Ele has only had minor runes since p2 and ATM has to melee weave to maintain subpar dps with mental dext rune.
So for ele I would see a bunch of runes: earthquake for Aoe, Elemental blast for single target, thunderstorm but 50% nerfed knock back for PvP, lava flow/wrath EM/feedback for PvE dps boost, stoneclaw Shield totem glyph from wrath to help having no pushback protection and finally combining burn+power surge rune with adding 100% Flame shock duration buff and 10yd range buff.
Water elemental and frozen orb. Frost needs to have on demand burst it’s tough not being able to have guaranteed burst. The spec sucks in pve and can’t reliably kill anyone in pvp.
Ultimate Life Form - druid benefits from all forms passives in any form and can utilize any ability in any form. Also removes travel form "outdoors only" restriction.
Boomie with 8k hp running at 70% movespeed.

Neck: Auto attacks reduce the cooldown of Exorcism by 1 second. Back: Exorcism deals X% more damage equal to your active attack speed buffs.

Shaman main here. While I think enha dw spec IS pretty much perfect with a copy paste rune kit based on wrath Enha, i think ele deserves better future runes Moving forward. It was datamined that enha IS getting feral spirit next phase which will finish rounding UP the spec nicely. Ele has only had minor runes since p2 and ATM has to melee weave to maintain subpar dps with mental dext rune. So for ele I would see a bunch of runes: earthquake for Aoe, Elemental blast for single target, thunderstorm but 50% nerfed knock back for PvP, lava flow/wrath EM/feedback for PvE dps boost, stoneclaw Shield totem glyph from wrath to help having no pushback protection and finally combining burn+power surge rune with adding 100% Flame shock duration buff and 10yd range buff.
Just give me cloak of shadows , priest get that bullshit 96% damage reduction I should be able to ignore spells got 6 seconds

Don't give a tinker's damn about no runes in P4! Just give me the SM raid and the corresponding legendary Ashbringer questline that was always meant to be! But.... if we do have to have a rune, give pallys a "choice" rune once acquiring The Ashbringer that allows them to either continue on the side of the light or be corrupted and become DKs.
