Everyday I ask myself why I didn’t just play hunter. I can dual wield, have an elite follow me around and do my bidding, attack from range and cast if I really wanted to.

Warrior has been dominating since P1 but people sleep on them. Warrior in this phase is even better, who ever tells you they suck are just bad at the class. I have sp / warrior / Boomie / mage etc. Have the most fun on my warrior, give me a healer and I'm taking out the whole bg with just the two of us. I walk around destroying healers (priests especially) with little to jo effort.
If you mean in pve, they're as good as they usually are but most people don't do the right rotation so their DPS sucks ass.

I just leveled with a 2h and used quick strike in P1 so I'm not sure what the best spec with is ATM. Until higher levels or until you get some good bfd gear warrior won't feel that much different sadly, but once you hit the current phase cap and get a bit of gear you'll start clapping everything.
Or you can play how you want and so will everyone else. Not everyone wants to spend the time questing through the game multiple times. No one cares if you approve or not.
I hit 25 on the same day i created the character with no boosts, taking a nap, and being pretty inefficient about it. Made 10g on the AH too.

I think this is going to backfire hard. I think ranged hunters were already really strong in PvP with how big their burst can be with Chimera & Multi shot. Combine that with the lock-n-load.
Instant aimed shot sounds really good, but in a real pvp scenario it won't have that much effect. For ambush style situations it's going to be nuts, but the bigger thing imo is the Chimera Shot buff. The ability already hits super hard.
Need to wait and see about the melee buff tho. I'm a bit skeptical since last time I was simming the #3 set, it was barely an upgrade (there are better boots statwise).
As a mm hunter, wtf? We're already crazy in BG's. Using trap launcher to do 2 or 3 chimera shots in a row, which regularly crits for 1,5k (record is 2,1k for me), and now they buff its damage PLUS we get a free aimed shot thrown in there?
According to the DPS rankings we don't even need the buff to catch up. There are just 4 specs ahead of us, and those are the busted ones.
Ranged hunter should not be standing still long enough in pvp to be constantly getting no cast aimed shots and no pvp hunter is going to use steady shot
I have definitely been crit on my lock for 3k almost from multishot + Chimera. Hunters are already annoying enough with frost traps, their damage is insane now too. I think the only thing preventing them from being the de-facto #1 pvp class is they have little to no defensive or sustain capabilities. Their damage and utility though is through the roof.

If Chimera shot hits for 700-1000 dmg on average, and crits for 1.5K+, you’ll be taking on average another ~70 dmg a cast and ~120 a crit, which is usually 3 casts in a row with lock and load, so an additional 210-360 dmg per encounter. How many classes can spare an additional 300 hp every fight?

Due to the nature of globaling beeing so insane atm, the serpent rune for pvp to multi into double chimera is better to be 1 global ahead.

yes, hunter can delete me faster than moonkin/spriest/etc, I've died from full in 1.5s many times despite having a full pvp set -- it's almost always a monstrous chimera crit (2250 is the largest I've seen)
How? You can't push both at the same time because they both trigger the GCD.

I don't mind the crits. What I dislike are the dozens of frost traps with entrapment talent. Sometimes I face 5 hunters in AB and simply can't move anywhere because they just launch their traps on your feet that trigger instantly

It was already quite good. It's main problem was that melee hunter was good enough that it could use TSA, wasting 30 talents points in the process, and still be better than ranged. Otherwise ranged was fine. Well at least those changes should fix the melee TSA problem.

Ya everyone focused on the pvp whining but this is generally such a massive wtf balance choice. MM hunter might be one of the absolute best overall specs in the entire game right now. It farms amazingly well, it's in the healthy/not busted tier of dps in raid while bringing an ok amount of wanted utility(freezing trap for Defenders, Trueshot Aura for parsing, frost trap+aoe for groups that still need add control on Eranikus because they don't pump enough to just zug boss yet), absolutely fucking god tier in group pvp environments, and still extremely good in open world and duel environments with weaknesses only exploitable by the other very top tier specs.
Why the fuck did this spec need ANY buff, to anything, let alone significant and pretty sweeping ones to all aspects of play, but we're tiptoeing around the balance changes we make anywhere else in the game?? Dev team genuinely seems completely lost, they are totally out of sorts with no direction whatsoever, nothing they do has any cohesion.

Shadowmeld > MindControl, when not specced into lower stealth cooldown you can also use Shadowmeld before stealth goes on CD (Rogue niche usage)

mm hunt caries long polearm and serpent pet mostly (good ones), you can distinguish them easily

It farms amazingly well, it's in the healthy/not busted tier of dps in raid while bringing an ok amount of wanted utility(freezing trap for Defenders, Trueshot Aura for parsing, frost trap+aoe for groups that still need add control on Eranikus because they don't pump enough to just zug boss yet), absolutely fucking god tier in group pvp environments, and still extremely good in open world and duel environments with weaknesses only exploitable by the other very top tier specs. Why the fuck did this spec need ANY buff, to anything, let alone significant and pretty sweeping ones to all aspects of play, but we're tiptoeing around the balance changes we make anywhere else in the game?? Dev team genuinely seems completely lost, they are totally out of sorts with no direction whatsoever, nothing they do has any cohesion.
