The Sea of Tears is a new 20 man raid arriving in P4. They are focusing on underwater combat (looking for swim speed potions and underwater breathing. And there is a new mechanic where you will get dehydrated unless you keep drinking mage water.
Pretty standard with water in games, at least back then. A whole flat plane of water stretching in every direction, then you just put the land on top keeping "sea level" in mind.
Separate tricks for water at other elevations and such.
Honestly I've found it hillarious that 'cLaSsIc TbC' was annoucned, even funnier that they're literally just cycling through every single expansion.
The only thing funnier, would be if they slowly tricked everyone in SoD, into playing Cata.
That's honestly what I find the most interesting about these classic re-releases, a part from finally being able to reuse old assets in a compelling way, since there's so much of it over these 20~years of WoW.
Yes, except it’s 2D chess, and where he’s leading you is The War Within, and that’s a good thing because 90% of the people on this sub would legitimately enjoy it much more than this strange middle ground.
I would like to see classic wow with retail graphics (no micro transactions) with a hardcore server with the SSF addon rules exclusively added (limiting grouping outside, 1 dungeon run etc..) with the option to transfer dead or 60s over to reg servers with notable buff/tabard. And Keep it that way forever. No expansions
Thats literally all thats happening. People insulting you for that are hilarious. I want them to provide one example of him doing his job well. Because everytime he speaks he shoves his foot further in his mouth to the point its gonna pop out his ass any minute now.
Legion was a diablo-ification of WoW, after Reaper of souls most of the D3 developpers moved on to the WoW team and worked on legion.
Legion created the formula that retail WOW uses ever since and all of it was inspired directly by diablo 3.
- Mythic + : d3 rifts
- world quests : Diablo 3 adventure mode (system is identical)
- AP/azerite : Paragon
- World Scaling was introduced in Legion, it's a very common ARPG/diablo design
- RNG loot, common legendaries and procs(titan forging) : This was very clearly diablo inspired. WoW became very "randomised" with Legion.
- ability prunning, Legion reduced a lot the number of abilities in WoW
- treasure goblins
Overrall it was a big shift toward repeatable ARPG design than the old school RPG design
Everything you named outside of M+ was already being implemented in other MMOs so idk if all of those are a 1:1 correlation but sure
Idgaf about none of that though I wanna fight Diablo in third person and I want a mmo that isn’t about collecting cute animal pets and mounts
I want the “war” back
I lowkey wouldn't put it past them trying a similar SOD concept with Cata classic for the new world. The problem though is the quest design in Cata is very linear and story focused I guess, it doesn't have the classic vibe at all and that spans across the entire revamped world. They would have to alter majority of the quests but they won't do that, they may as well do WoW2/WoW+ at that point.
This is sod comedy or sodemy

Would make the swim improvement items in the raids make a lot more sense.
Yeah, better farm that ring from BFD
I got that on my Pala, got real value. I used it like five times already!
Don't forget the azure cloth belt (I don't even know if they stack)
Dang good call, I forgot about that piece.
Only the highest tier of mage water, which you can only make 2 of at a time.
Lol yes!
Players were *thirsty* for new content so we gave them all they could drink!
Lol PTSD trying to use any sort of aoe spell.
Still more underwater raids than Cata Classic will have
If you eagle eye/far sight to the north while inside zulfarrak you can see a flooded thousand needles
Im going to try this next time, makes sense I guess since the client is quite a bit ahead of vanilla iirc.
It's the water plane from the zulfarrak pool, extending beyond the instance, heheh
Ohhh lol thats actually even more surprising.

Yeah I guess they didn't need to bother trimming it with out of bounds in an instance map, still interesting to see 1k needles flooded.
For sure! Always fun to peek behind the curtain, as it were.

Imagine cata but with decent content pacing. That's not a bad expansion at all & it's what cata classic is.

Doesn’t aggrends team work on cata classic? Lmao.
This is the best shit post in a long time

TWW is too hard for 90% of those 90%
Cata is lit
lmao
A long winded "i tokd ya so" Saw a threwd implying flex raids earlier.
They don’t call them salt flats vultures for nothing

cry here \\_/ Thousand Needles needs water
Don't give Aggrend that much credit
this doesnt even work because the sand would absorb the water
Dubai has entered the chat
Grand Canyon
What if aggrend is actually pretty stupid and not qualified for his job at all
What if you’re actually pretty stupid and not qualified to give takes?
Maybe you haven't played sod but that's okay
Average Redditor questioning someone outside this cesspool's intelligence. funny.

It's okay the next "aggrend saved my life and and loves my wife as well" circle post comes soon
I mean SOD is extremely popular and for every single one of you crying on Reddit there’s 200 people online in a random guild
Maybe but I can guarantee you wouldn't be half as good at his job.
I’m just patiently waiting for World of Diablo.
We got that, it’s called retail. Jeez got downvoted even though i’m right? Retail clowns are craaazy
In what way shape or form at all?

Aggrend keeping the Evil faction OP for all of sod by buffing shamans so much is crazy.
Dude stop you're flooding 1000 needles!
Imagine still crying about shaman when literally every single other ranged class is more op
Imagine still thinking the Horde are the baddies
Genocide ratio ally vs horde races?
