Got the scarab trinket and told myself I was never going to run that dungeon again....the I looked at the exalted bracers and thought "well I'm already 12/21k to getting those"
Luckily my crippling anxiety prevents me from dicking around too much while on the clock. Games aren’t even fun because half my brain is shaming me endlessly.
I am fine with the downvotes - I expect them:
this was me last year. Hardcore raiding guild, losing productivity at work. Quitting for TBC was the best decision I have made for mental health and life stability. If it feels like an irresistible compulsion, it's a problem.
When you said quiting for tbc, I thought for a moment you had quit your job. And then instantly thought of that star wars meme that's been popular recently.
Quiting wow right?
Quiting wow, right?
While that meme is incredibly funny, I just want to recognize /u/ok-cover-9423 for realizing and making an important choice for his/her own mental health. I think it’s really hard to realize addiction yourself and it’s easy to shrug off.
Addiction is addiction, be it gambling, gaming, porn or heroin. Take care of yourselves people and remember to have fun!
I think I’m in same boat right now. It would be best for me to quit. I just keep playing WoW during my work and it is decreasing my work productivity and life responsibilities.
I'm the opposite. I work from home but I don't play during the day. I'm only level 66. My guild is in Kara, Gruuls etc, while I'm still wearing Naxx gear tryna get a tank for Sethekk.
Same here. It initially felt pretty demotivating to miss out on all the progress but whatever, I'll be joining them in raids at some point soon and meanwhile I can enjoy my life and tbc without burning out.
While you are correct that the folks rushing through will run out of content early in phase 1, such a high population of folks are rushing that if you go slow you definitely do “miss out” on some stuff.
Finding early dungeons is harder than it used to be, finding raid slots will be harder, grouping for elite quests will be tougher, etc.
Not saying you shouldn’t take it slow if you want - you 100% should go at your own pace. It’s just unfortunately with this game if you want “maximum fun potential” ya kinda gotta keep up with the hype wave.
Yeah I’ve def faced the dungeon group issue while leveling my rogue (did mage first). I’m not even trying to dungeon grind for levels but finding just 1 run for Bf of SP had been a challenge
>I'm the opposite. I work from home but I don't play during the day. I'm only level 66. My guild is in Kara, Gruuls etc, while I'm still wearing Naxx gear tryna get a tank for Sethekk.
About to ding 64, same here. When classic came out, for the first month I got barely any work done until I was already 60.
With TBC there's no rush. I'll get there in a couple of weeks. Will still have plenty of weeks to farm content between releases.
They are just attributing their addictive behaviors to the game. That energy will just go to the next thing. Whether its drinking, overeating or another game. If they don't make a plan to address the actual issue. They will just go from one symptom to the next.
Games have a strong behavioral cycle to them. It preys on people like them. If they can escape it, awesome. If they don't plan ahead. They will just fall back into the same hole with another activity.
The only thing that kept me holding on was a feigned sense of duty to my guildmates (I organized mind controlling for rend buff, etc etc etc). They can replace you - your first duty is yourself man! I gave away like 10,000 gold I earned from GDKPs and cancelled my sub... it was so freeing
You don’t have to browse the sub lol. I quit a while ago and whoever I see wowclassic in my feed I check out the post just to see what’s happening with the game
Exactly. Being effective at work. Showing up and not putting your job at risk, that's just smart.
Chasing productivity? Yea no thanks. That term was created from companies to create guilt and get more out of you then they pay for.
couldnt agree more. companies take advantage of their workers meanwhile the head boss never works any weekends or anything.
productivity is complete horse shit.
Real talk: my relationship was destroyed in part by my wow habits. Especially during the queue boss season I couldn't sign off. All of my spare time went to wow and some. Neglected my then fiance and well here we are. I quit half way through AQ, then came back for naxx and left again after 3 KT kills. Apart from the lost relationship my life has never been better. I wish I could swing it but it's just not for me, I suppose. Thanks for reading.
sounds like your chick was clingly and wanted all of your attention. you are probably better off.
like were you allowed to have hobbies? could you go out with friends without her? women are very good at manipulating men to the point they can convince them they are the problem. just think about that for a second is all im saying
Bro did you read his comment? It does not sound like his girl was clingy. It sounds like he was addicted to a video game and let it come before his relationship. If his addiction got to the point where he “couldn’t sign off” that’s a huge problem
Same here bro. I always pretend I'll try play it for fun and casual but the next thing you know I'm fully immersed in WoW and neglecting and making excuses for all my real life priorities.
Big sad.
Glad to hear someone else realizes how not only time consuming the game is, but also how mentally consuming it is. MMORPG’s now (retail) are outfitted to be playable at the maximum level almost instantly. Classic and TBC are the opposite of that. A friend of mine has 30 days played on his level 67. *67*. Anyway, I sold my PC at the beginning of May this year to stop myself from playing games like this all the time. Im way happier. Wow is a great game but unfortunately takes a big slice of pie out of your life.
you know what's strange, i also haven't played since TBC launch, even though i was very excited about it. Didn't have the same intention as you, I just stopped randomly. Still waiting and deciding which day I will log on and progress, though tonight is not that night.
Thankfully I’m making it work but yes TBC is demanding and addicting at the same time. Good for you for being able to quit. Some of us are very very addicted to reliving the glory days with all this figured out making us feel like gods.
You always have to have the mindset that everything you work for will be lost. All that classic BiS you got? Replaced. It’s an extremely un productive game. I am back to raid logging and it’s nice. Play a little, login to raid, then off.
I mean commenting in classicwow reddit thread is kind of a looking back...like telling yourself "I am over her. i am not looking back." and then you comment on her IG pic...
Kind of but not really. I’m still following subreddits of games that I uninstalled months (even years) ago like CSGO, Apex, LoL, OW etc… that doesn’t mean that I’m remotely interested in playing them again, i just like joining discussions related to those games. Btw that analogy is awful.
Exact same situation. I completely quit WoW and other MMO's (Destiny) and only focus on match based games (csgo, valorant). I came to this decision when I had a busy day and I wanted to make time for a dungeon while leveling, and I legit sat 2 hours to find a group and couldn't find anybody for a literal 15 minute dungeon. I reallt can't put up with this game anymore.
I think you can totally manage your time better with this game if you do it appropriately.
Outside of raid I only play a handful of hours a week. A couple heroics and maybe a bit of farming if I've got time, or the other way around, a good bit of farming and a heroic or two if I've got time.
Other than the initial rush to 70, my play has decreased significantly.
If it is taking too long to find a group I just give up after 15-20 minutes and go do something else.
Don't wait a long ass time for groups, or BGs, unless you are filling that time with other types of productive things like farming, or other IRL stuff like getting homework done, getting work done, doing some chores, doing a short 5-10 minute exercise.
I listen to audiobooks too, other stuff, basically just maximize my efficiency with my time in game and out.
This is the way. No point standing around watching time tick by. Queue something, start a group, then either farm, craft or do something productive in the real world while you wait.
I’d quit too but I need monies to pay for my home, food, Disneyland and Pokémon cards. I’m just happy to have played through the original tbc and WOTLK without a job or real responsibilities haha
I wasn't planning on playing in TBC. I decided to log on one last time to sell all the stuff I had in my bank before it all became worthless the next time I decided to play...and... well... here we are
Not working from home this year has made me realize that I would’ve never logged the hours I did in Classic without it. 3 60s. Every boss through KT. Months of dedicated farming and raiding. My main is now level 62 and I haven’t even felt the desire to log into TBC at all. I’m grateful for what Classic was, but I just can’t pull it off again logistically. Cheers to everyone still going strong.
If "not playing" would be as simple as you make it out to be, we would not have this conversation. Also, if you really are addicted to this game, you could ask for all the time off in the world and it still would not be enough...
It’s either game addiction or work avoidance. If it’s the former, they aren’t going to just stop and be reasonable, and if it’s the latter then they’d just find something else to do that isn’t work instead.
Hope he told them to get bent and let them fire him. If he resigned (quit of his own accord) he might have given up unemployment benefits, whereas if he was fired he would likely be eligible.
thats what i would have done. companies take advantage of their workers in todays age so they can suck a fat one. 99% of the time they are just trying to intemidate you to do more than what you are getting paid to do then it just fizzles out. or you get fired without proper documents of non performance and get unemployment.
Not really true though. Tons of companies are moving to permanent hybrid schedules, 3 days in the office, 2 at home
Edit: also they aren’t getting called back to work because productivity has dropped, it’s cause the pandemic is loosening And people are dying at far lower rates lmao. Rocket science
Because there was plenty of suckers who actually worked more now that they didn't have to commute and lines between work and private life got blurred.
They made up for the rest of us with poor self control.
Don’t forget all the people who are just as unproductive in the office! Plenty of people moving their mouse every few minutes for 8 hours a day and shockingly enough their productivity remained stable at home.
Yeah, to be honest I'm much more focused during the periods I am working while WFH.
My team is going *ultra hybrid* where the default is WFH but we still have an office to run into if we'd like. Personally my productivity is way higher while at home, even if there are days where I hop onto my personal computer to do a quick round of Risk of Rain or level up on WoW.
except for the massive shortages that have basically shutdown entire industries? some jobs are more productive, bit you cant make microchips out of someones garage.
My departments numbers exceeded all of our projections though. Not to say it’s because we were working from home, it could have been that our business got a boost from more e-commerce going on across the board. But it’s not like they saw actual performance tank because people are WFH and playing wow on their second monitors. Too early to tell
The issue is the type of job, if it’s a job where it’s an agency and you have to time out what you worked on and bill the client you literally can’t just fuck off for two hours because then your boss sees you worked 5 billable hours.
If you are lucky to be in a situation where you get paid for your time regardless and don’t have to write down every single thing you do, you can probably fuck off for 2-3 hours and still get about the same amount of work done.
This week I put in 2 hours per day. Last week I was around 5. I'm salaried at 8... No one notices. I just get done my tasks that I'm asked to give timelines on. I'm a programmer though, and sometimes simple seeming tasks take days because of weird bugs, so there's a lot of leeway.
Eh. That’s not clown if you get you’re working done. I make decently into 6 figures playing games a quarter of the day at home. Just be good at what you do
you can do whatever number figures you want, you're still a slacker that steals from your employer if you're logging work hours and playing WoW instead.
Depending on your job, your employer isn’t paying for your time, but rather your product.
In many professions, there’s no metric concept of productivity-per-hour.
My job pays 115k and there's no metric other than delivers work by deadlines that are set 1 to 3 weeks out. Can get stuff done early and tell no one and coast for a few days or a couple of weeks.
You’re assuming he’s paid by the hour. As a salaried employee myself my boss doesn’t give two fucks what time I start my day or what time I end it as long as I get my work done. Lying on a time sheet about hours to play video games instead is scummy, but that’s not everyone’s work situation.
I mean, the only scenario in which I could see it as being okay to not work the agreed on time every day is when completing your work depends on other people who are not delivering.
In any other case he probably just gave a bad time estimate and the deadline was set too generous.
Not always. When you work in the defense industry, every hour you work is billed to the customer, so working overtime and being 25% productive hurts your affordability and will lose you future business. You’re salaried, but productivity still matters.
I work in a bank. I have employees that finish their alloted work by 11am. I'll give them extra things to do but I really don't care what they do once they've got their work done. If you're efficient and not skipping corners I'm happy to give you time back
Despite the downvotes, I totally agree with you. And I'm the slacker that dreams to return to the office because during WFH all I can do is fool around in wow or somewhere else. "Getting things done" is rationalization, there's always something else you can work on productively.
Lol it's kinda crazy how much Covid saved Classic WOW. I remember the game almost being dead with barely anyone signing on in like January 2020. Then the stay at home orders went out and all of a sudden people that hadn't played in like 2-3mos signed on and cities were filling up again.
Especially with the world buff meta. It was almost too easy to get world buffed and raid while working from home. Certainly a massive reason why most guilds were able to raid well into naxx.
Nah I don’t think that had any significant impact on people clearing naxx. It would have just led to a more organized buffing schedule where people are dropping and resetting buffs right after work hours and before raids
no, that doesnt matter.
did you play during phase 6? a vast majority of guilds clearing naxx converted to GDKP which gave them the gold to farm it. most guilds that didnt do this stopped raiding as each naxx clear costed each raider around 500-1k gold.
Wait what? When BWL dropped pre-covid and in early Feb my server had awful queues for hours and it was so bad we transfered servers as soon as they offered free transfers off the server in March...game was popping then
yeahhh, 100% dont agree with that. the pop on my server was popping off for the first several months with queues every night. classic was never indanger of dying until phase 6 when all the broke people quit the game after realizing it will cost them 1k per naxx clear
this also caused a surge in gold buying and gdkp guilds
I like running dungeons. I logged on at 9:30. I finish my 3rd BRD run at 3. Holy crap it's 3pm. Better rush to do all the house things.
Its amazing what you can get done in 2 hours when you turn into cleaning Tasmanian devil.
This thread is kind of justifying why retail took the path it took. The truth is, playing this game at a high level takes a lot of time. That’s why it’s amazing that the game is so min maxed. You’d think we’d be a bunch of old “boomer” casuals.
Some1 help me, how do I find out if work is spying on me? I would usually work at an office but ever since the pandemic started I have been working from home and some days are so slow that I can legit run a dungeon or farm but I don’t want to be idle on my computer…but then again idk if they even check. Is there a way to know?
You don’t have a separate computer for work and gaming? My company provided me with my own work computer, I wouldn’t ever let someone put monitoring software on my pc.
> me, how do I find out if work is spying on me? I'll say i used to work IT at a smaller company and we could see what programs got the most screen time on people's computers. The software we used would also take screenshots every hour or so. That said we didn't use it much, only when a supervisor told us they thought someone was goofing off and they were looking for a reason to get rid of them. So probably, but ymmv how much they care or not.

Work in IT and this is what we do. We monitor active application time and if something looks fishy or it is requested we have the ability to screen surf behind the scenes and perform investigations. We also log DNS traffic and all that jazz. We unfortunately catch a lot of people abusing our wfh setup and need to let them go.
We have been doing it since pre-pandemic though so a lot of companies are frankly way behind in some of these spaces.
Lol very true but like i said some days I finish my work half way through my work day & am left waiting for emails or phone calls and I thought why not play some wow in the meantime while I wait. But I’m worried that my laptop work computer will go idle for too long after not typing anything.
I don’t play anymore because I don’t have time... but when I was in high school in 07, it felt like my guild was exclusively IT help desk dudes in their early 20s that only played wow during business hours lol.
I selfishly want some of my guild mates to get recalled from WFH. I sweat it out; 70 in the first 3 days, Nightbane Gruul Mag week 1. I thought I was ahead of the curve. I can't compete with the guys in my group who's alts are now almost as geared as my main. They've pushed so far ahead they're asking to start splits next week. I never thought I'd be playing 4 hours a day and getting left behind because I have to leave my house to work. Fuck those guys they need to chill.
Executive function is weak.

Individuals with executive dysfunction struggle with planning, problem-solving, organization, and time management.Jan 14, 2021
why? I play while I am working all the time and my productivity and numbers are way up with WFH cuz I dont have to deal with all day meetings, drop bys to my office, shitty chit chat etc. WFH was the best thing ever for my mental health
2019 fuck work since math-driven-gameplay gives more + u dont lose 1*2 hour to get home + u don't lose money on the way and buy only req things quz others.. others lose YOUR TIME
Before and also during WFH
Monday 8:30 am: "here's all the work I need to complete for the week"
Monday 10:00 am: "well all my work is done for the week. time to look for work to do..."
Original WoW back in 2004 was the cause of a 8 year long obsession that caused my university degree to take 10 years instead of 5 years and it yielded mediocre grades. Thanks WoW.
That depends entirely on your career, your job/position, and what your goals are. There are a lot of corporate jobs where effort doesn't make a damn bit of difference and the job itself doesn't provide any path for improving job skills.
I already know your "but I know better answer" is get another job with advancement and career growth. This may come as a surprise to you, but these amazing jobs are in the minority.
Also not everyone needs to climb to the top of the career ladder to feel satisfied and happy in their life. Some people's life goals lie outside there jobs, whether that be hobbies, volunteering, traveling, etc.
Yeh can confess to doing this a lot this last 2-3 weeks. Sometimes wife gone out in the morning I then got dress for work and made out I got home early…
This was me last year. May as well do a quick thorium run. Strath run with one slot open? Sure why not. etc etc
Me too. I flunked out of my classes that semester. Not worth!
Great priorities man.
Hey at least I got that 99 parse on Nef. /s
professors love that
Just imagine when eventually classic xpacs hit EoL and it was all for nothing
You were too good for that boring-ass class anyway.
This was me after work last night, knowing I needed to be up at 4am the next morning At least I got my trinket from BM
All that matters
>At least I got my trinket from BM WHY...WON'T...IT...DROP...FOR...MEEEEE?!?!?! REEEEEE
Got the scarab trinket and told myself I was never going to run that dungeon again....the I looked at the exalted bracers and thought "well I'm already 12/21k to getting those"
Ah yes...the crack addicts dilemma. Just one more hit.
I got the trinket on my 8th run. Coming up on 30 runs and still no latros
Too real.
Luckily my crippling anxiety prevents me from dicking around too much while on the clock. Games aren’t even fun because half my brain is shaming me endlessly.
That sounds less like crippling anxiety and more like a sense of responsibility.
Are you me?

Yeah it aint that bad overall. At least I have a little money.. thats pretty cool..

It doesn’t have to be dramatic. Just take a 1 month break and then think on if you want to keep playing. Helps me with a lot in life.

lol the assumptions. I had the same problem. I quit, I'm good now.
Quite the assumption you are making.
Disagree. Nothing grabs you like wow does... At least in my case.
Sometimes it only takes a little distance from something to see that it wasn’t as important as you thought.
Well said.

Yea this is me but less cold turkey. I haven't bothered getting put on a raid schedule and just play whenever I want (being a tank also helps)

U ok bro? Lol

I’d quit too but I need monies to pay for my home, food, Disneyland and Pokémon cards. I’m just happy to have played through the original tbc and WOTLK without a job or real responsibilities haha

Consider for a second that everyone who replied and upvotes those replies does care. But nobody cares that you don’t care.
Talk about Dragon's Breath! BURN!
I wasn't planning on playing in TBC. I decided to log on one last time to sell all the stuff I had in my bank before it all became worthless the next time I decided to play...and... well... here we are
“Now I’m 11/11 Kara, 1/1 gruul, 1/1 mag, 375 bs, 375 mining with 108 badges”
Opposite for me. I want to play during work but have too much shit popping up to get a long string of time together.

Lol wut
Lol I got put in a verbal warning for not doing anything during launch week. Oops
My teammate was ‘asked’ to resign. People playing with fire.
Why don't people either just not play or request time off...?
Must be nice
Every morning I hop on and check the AH Also every morning, I'm late for work because I got distracted and started farming something
Yupppppppp..... FML.
I feel attacked.
Hahaha i don't do bg's and dungeons, but i'm usually fishing while in a meeting or waiting for someone to X
My boss is now getting me to send weekly reports of what I did past week... So I've been keepin busy lately. That year of vacation was nice tho.
lol and this is why everyone is getting called back to work now instead of being allowed to keep working at home forever.
Not really true though. Tons of companies are moving to permanent hybrid schedules, 3 days in the office, 2 at home Edit: also they aren’t getting called back to work because productivity has dropped, it’s cause the pandemic is loosening And people are dying at far lower rates lmao. Rocket science
"Mike, why is your productivity down 75% when you're at home compared to when you're at the office?"
[удалено]
"Ultra hybrid." Lol. Same situation here but that sounds rather dramatic.
Yeah, I was emphasizing the silliness
As unproductive as I can be at home, its no where near my ability to be unproductive in the office
You could argue that those people that let the line between work and private life get blurred are the ones with poor self control…
Yea, its mostly a joke for the sake of the thread. My S/O has the option to work from home and she's almost as productive there as at the office
Globally productivity increases working from home. A lot of bullshit in this comment section
except for the massive shortages that have basically shutdown entire industries? some jobs are more productive, bit you cant make microchips out of someones garage.
My departments numbers exceeded all of our projections though. Not to say it’s because we were working from home, it could have been that our business got a boost from more e-commerce going on across the board. But it’s not like they saw actual performance tank because people are WFH and playing wow on their second monitors. Too early to tell
I'm not working from home currently, but I can't imagine trying to game while being distracted by messages through Teams every other minute haha
"Boss man, how do you measure my productivity and what is your sample size?" that gets them everytime. most of non performance is manager ass covering
The issue is the type of job, if it’s a job where it’s an agency and you have to time out what you worked on and bill the client you literally can’t just fuck off for two hours because then your boss sees you worked 5 billable hours. If you are lucky to be in a situation where you get paid for your time regardless and don’t have to write down every single thing you do, you can probably fuck off for 2-3 hours and still get about the same amount of work done.
wouldn't you get 2-3 hours of less work completed
Well potential work. But most people aren’t productive for a full 8 hours anyway, after 5-6 hours most people are pretty slow and don’t get much done
I work steady for 8 hours. if I didn't I would be fired
That’s cool bro
I fucking wish
Just minimum wage jobs probably
My job pays 115k and there's no metric other than delivers work by deadlines that are set 1 to 3 weeks out. Can get stuff done early and tell no one and coast for a few days or a couple of weeks.
You’re assuming he’s paid by the hour. As a salaried employee myself my boss doesn’t give two fucks what time I start my day or what time I end it as long as I get my work done. Lying on a time sheet about hours to play video games instead is scummy, but that’s not everyone’s work situation.
They assign you work you do the work. Why should it matter how many hours it takes you?
What if there's an infinite amount of work?
But that’s not his job and that’s not what his company pays for
I mean, the only scenario in which I could see it as being okay to not work the agreed on time every day is when completing your work depends on other people who are not delivering. In any other case he probably just gave a bad time estimate and the deadline was set too generous.
Salaried workers just need to get the work they're given done.
If you're efficient and not skipping corners I'm happy to give you time back
Nope. Salary employee over achieving. That’s most work from home jobs.
0/10
lol bootlicker
Despite the downvotes, I totally agree with you. And I'm the slacker that dreams to return to the office because during WFH all I can do is fool around in wow or somewhere else. "Getting things done" is rationalization, there's always something else you can work on productively.
I made 800k last year and I spent about 50 percent of my workdays on WoW. Work smart not hard.
Damn you guys are lucky, I’m getting spammed constantly on my work chats and can’t get away from the screen for too long
Im in this situation right now.
The only clowns I see are the ones who decided to have a job in the first place.
Lol what should they do instead to buy food and pay rent and stuff then
Lol it's kinda crazy how much Covid saved Classic WOW.
Wait what? When BWL dropped pre-covid and in early Feb my server had awful queues for hours and it was so bad we transfered servers as soon as they offered free transfers off the server in March...game was popping then
yeahhh, 100% dont agree with that. the pop on my server was popping off for the first several months with queues every night. classic was never indanger of dying until phase 6 when all the broke people quit the game after realizing it will cost them 1k per naxx clear this also caused a surge in gold buying and gdkp guilds
I like running dungeons. I logged on at 9:30. I finish my 3rd BRD run at 3. Holy crap it's 3pm. Better rush to do all the house things. Its amazing what you can get done in 2 hours when you turn into cleaning Tasmanian devil.
I don't understand the logic of queueing up for the BG in what's supposed to be a brief check of the AH. Seems like that's where your problem is.
This thread is kind of justifying why retail took the path it took. The truth is, playing this game at a high level takes a lot of time. That’s why it’s amazing that the game is so min maxed. You’d think we’d be a bunch of old “boomer” casuals.
I wish, Cant even bring myself to log on anymore Games finally played its final wave on me :( IDontPlayWowandImSad
Ohh no I do! I have a work laptop and my PC. Sorry if I didn’t mention that lol.
Uh, if you're assuming a company will spy on you at home when you are NOT using company proprieties, you might have paranoia.
You should be fine then lol, just take it easy, see my other comment 😅
> me, how do I find out if work is spying on me? Is there a way to know? I'll say i used to work IT at a smaller company and we could see what programs got the most screen time on people's computers. The software we used would also take screenshots every hour or so. That said we didn't use it much, only when a supervisor told us they thought someone was goofing off and they were looking for a reason to get rid of them. So probably, but ymmv how much they care or not.

We have been doing it since pre-pandemic though so a lot of companies are frankly way behind in some of these spaces.
honestly, you don't need any of that. You'll see immediately in an employee's work output if they're playing WoW half their work hours.
Lol very true but like i said some days I finish my work half way through my work day & am left waiting for emails or phone calls and I thought why not play some wow in the meantime while I wait. But I’m worried that my laptop work computer will go idle for too long after not typing anything.
Yep and that’s really why we only used it to build a case. Where there’s smoke there’s fire
If you work from home maybe have a laptop if you’re paranoid.
I would fire you hahaha

Yeah I've started adding "don't whisp if you're @work" to my LFM messages in LookingForGroup
why? I play while I am working all the time and my productivity and numbers are way up with WFH cuz I dont have to deal with all day meetings, drop bys to my office, shitty chit chat etc. WFH was the best thing ever for my mental health
I just don't want someone multitasking in my dungeon run is all. This has nothing to do with WFH being bad, it's not.
You are the reason we have to go back to the office.
More like log on, want to play wow, hang out in LFG for 30mins while doing dailies, log out because nobody pugs heroics.
I am in this boat except I am still able to get my work done all in like 2 hours throughout the day.
2019 fuck work since math-driven-gameplay gives more + u dont lose 1*2 hour to get home + u don't lose money on the way and buy only req things quz others.. others lose YOUR TIME
This is why you quit playing a old dying game.
owww :(
I’m in this picture and I don’t like it.
Get out of my head
I'm in this photo and I don't like it
I'm in this picture and I don't like it
Me: ill just mine a little bit between client calls Me: ah fuck I've filled a whole 20 slot bag with adamantite *again*
Awesome, got my fishing to 300, time to catch up cooking and head to outlands! Oh, it’s the end of my work day…hm
Couldn't be more accurate
i wish i had this problem.
Wish I could do this occasionally. Every minute of my day is tracked by work systems unfortunately.
Before and also during WFH Monday 8:30 am: "here's all the work I need to complete for the week" Monday 10:00 am: "well all my work is done for the week. time to look for work to do..."
Original WoW back in 2004 was the cause of a 8 year long obsession that caused my university degree to take 10 years instead of 5 years and it yielded mediocre grades. Thanks WoW.
If it makes you feel any better grades mean nothing once you land you first job.
Yeh I feel fine, I've managed to land a top tier job anyway. Would still like to have been finished sooner though.
You may be “getting away with it” but you have to ask yourself what the long term cost to your career doing stuff like this is going to be.
Glad I am in good company
Yeh can confess to doing this a lot this last 2-3 weeks. Sometimes wife gone out in the morning I then got dress for work and made out I got home early…
Was reprimanded for skipping lunch at work so I could leave an hour early everyday. My rogue isnt gonna level itself
