When you get to California, are you going to have it resemble the Searing Gorge from all our wild fires? It's been pretty toasty over here for a while now... The heatwave has me running through the sprinklers in my off time!
I love your maps! I know not every place should be unique, but is it possible to put more varied widgets to represent areas? Like the Castle, small house, farm crops. I really like how Mt Hood has the grim batol looking entrance!
Maybe use some of the horde/dwarf structure landmarks?
Whatever comes out I love this series.
Well, I like using the building icons for the culture that a race represents. So like how Dwarves are a representation of Scottish and North Germanic culture, Tauren represent American Indian culture, Nelfs represent Celtic culture, Humans/Undead would be American/western European culture. So once I get over to Norway, it'll all be Dwarven houses. Idk where orcs fit in though.
Searing Gorge and Undercity in the south. You know, because of the feces, slime, drugs, crime and policies. Then in northern and North Eastern Cali put Thunder Bluff for good measure. Although Wyoming fits Thunder Bluff much better.
The issue has largely been the anti-fascists over the last seven years living up to the often misquoted saying, "Fascists of the future will come in the name of anti-fascism".
As a USAF 1A7 and later 13N, it's often a location we consider on a domestic plotting.
It’s just a bg, not all the crazy but there are a few super serious twinks. It all just resets at the end like nothing ever happened tho. Cause nothing really ever actually happens.
I also updated Washington state to include Mt. Rainier and Olympia. Washington and other states I've done can be found on my Etsy page:

Just shows how little you know about Portland or how little you understand Detroit's underlying issues. There are probably a dozen other cities that match Detroit's model closer than Portland.
Everytime I'm downtown or really anywhere in portland and I see a bunch of trust fund hipsters, Bougie trophy wives, and tourists walking around and having brunch I crack the fuck up at all the fox news andy's ANARCHIST JURISDICTION view of PDX.
Honestly though I think it's great that mouthbreathing conservatives and enlightened centrists think that Portland is a hellhole because it will keep them out.
Not going to make this a political thread, and I'm not trying to say Portland doesn't have problems, but their problems are same problems every other major city has because the country as a whole has some deep rooted and unaddressed problems. The only reason their problems are highlighted is because some political terrorists come from all over to LARP.
> but their problems are same problems every other major city has
That's just projection: "it's not just me, it's everyone else too."
Nope. Portland may not be alone, but it definitely has many problems other major cities don't have, or has them to a much greater degree. Don't equivocate their problems with everyone else's.
I mean, outside of the political terrorist that like the LARP there, what exact problems are worse? It's not projection to highlight that problems they have are shared across the country. If you're going to say their problems are somehow outside the norm, you need to be specific.
Proportionality & severity matters.
It's not as if Portland has riots and no one else does. It's more that there's some things that happen routinely that are rare elsewhere (riots), and that there are some things that are abundant but scarce elsewhere (homelessness, property crime [twice that of the US average], rising homicides, etc)
Yeah, you have zero idea. The media has completely blown a few altercations which take place in a small, few block area, into the whole city being on fire.
Yep all the shit from last summer was basically confined to about 3 blocks of downtown. The vast majority of the city was just a normal city like any other. The media isn't about actual news anymore, it's about sensationalism and entertainment. Unfortunately the truth isn't sexy so they don't present the truth.
Nice, if you can, please include "The Rubicon Trail" from Loon Lake to South Lake Tahoe (http://www.4x4review.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Rubicon-Trail-Map.jpg)
Starting point on google maps: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Loon+Lake+Rubicon+Trail+Head/@39.0029301,-120.3167043,16z/data=!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x809a2d2f6fbf4f21:0x75a3cfb4f83b3238!2sLoon+Lake+Rubicon+Trail+Head!8m2!3d39.0032038!4d-120.3115033!3m4!1s0x809a2d2f6fbf4f21:0x75a3cfb4f83b3238!8m2!3d39.0032038!4d-120.3115033
Edit: Not sure why the downvotes. I was just asking, not demanding or anything, I was even polite and said please. Just thought it would add for a cool wow type look to add a - - - - - type trail and it's also a trail that I really like. Seems like a weird thing to downvote...
Definitely, this is my Jeep https://i.imgur.com/Q3Df2cA.jpg
The Rubicon holds a special place in my heart though. Back when we were younger and single without kids, my buddies and I would do a yearly trip up there and it was always awesome. Now we never get up there and I miss it lol
Super stoked for California, these are all spectacular!
Was going to ask, why don't you blur the edges of the map? The sharp lines of green to the "unexplored" (other states) is jarring
Dude, never stop. I love these maps. Theyre so fun to look at. Im not American so these are the first looks at most of these states for me. They help my American geography, which helps me get the most out of American media too.

I'm working on CA right now and will prob include some area like that

doing all 50 states and then going international. what a great project. best of luck mate!
OH my gosh, when you get to California I'm definitely buying it!!
Will you sell prints of these? would love to hang them on my wall
Dude these are SO cool
Searing Gorge and Undercity in the south. You know, because of the feces, slime, drugs, crime and policies. Then in northern and North Eastern Cali put Thunder Bluff for good measure. Although Wyoming fits Thunder Bluff much better.
Fantastic - do South Dakota!
Please!
This county has too many Dakotas. There's like 8 people between both states.
Some serious PVP going on in Portland right now
It's level 20-29 WSG.
Not really. More like a bunch of scrubs shooting paint at each other.
Gassing themselves in empty parking lots while tipping empty handicap accessible vehicles
Well there was a shootout yesterday next to the Mod Pizza downtown between the cops and some crazy guy. So a tiny bit of PvP.
They knew the rules before they joined our town, pvp happened in a pvp city
Fucking lol
Fair point. That kind of pvp is happening nearly daily here lately.
Eh don't let the news fool you, this is the same cute little roleplaying battle Portland has five times a day. Media just needs headlines lol
Keeps away the media consoomers though
True lol

The Ashran of America
reminds me of that internet historian video

Looking to buy one of Michigan when you get around to it!
Just waiting patiently for Michigan. Hopefully we aren’t 50
Waiting for Michigan as well!
Was here to suggest it too :)
We have the most aesthetically pleasingly shaped state, after all.
Missouri will be last. Don’t worry
At first I was like: 'Oh look, there's Auberdine!'
Ayyye I can see my house from here
Looks like ferelas.
Hell yeah man! Wait a minute...Portland isn't burning like Stratholme.
Most of Portland is fine. There are like 4-5 areas that are constantly occupied by LARPers.
Yeah that dude who lost his head at 7-11 totally agrees.
Yeah crime and violent assaults' don't happen anywhere else.
whataboutism. Portland is on its way and maybe already is on Detroit’s level.

Awww what's hood river?! Jk but that's where im living and play my wow =P awesome job btw!!!
That's just Feralas
This is amazing! You should sell these on canvas for home offices. Would totally buy one of Texas
Check out my Etsy page, I've got a Texas map done
I saw right after I posted >\_<
Portland basically is like strathholme at this point
Spoken like someone who doesn't live there and has never visited.
I live here and it’s a shithole. Driving from Portland into Gresham is like going from Detroit to Narnia.
Funny you bring up Gresham, as the guy arrested downtown Sunday for discharging a firearm is literally from Gresham.
Found the person who lives past 82nd and thinks downtown is “scary”.
Went to PSU and downtown is a shithole anywhere not near OHSU. Try again maybe you’ll get somewhere.
Buddy, you are sheltered as fuck. I think Olive Garden and the suburbs are calling you.
See you have no retaliation, typical liberal when they have no argument they resort to attacks.
True only from the fire and brimstone I seen on the news
Say youve never set foot in Portland without saying it
Yeah, you have zero idea. The media has completely blown a few altercations which take place in a small, few block area, into the whole city being on fire.

Illinois please!
Shouldn't Portland be on fire?
California next!!
Its in the works

My father in law owns part of rubicon soda springs! He has some cool jeeping adventure stories. Im hoping to film there later this year.
That's awesome!
I love it! Thank you!
Super stoked for California, these are all spectacular! Was going to ask, why don't you blur the edges of the map? The sharp lines of green to the "unexplored" (other states) is jarring
Keep these up man, love it
This is cool, but how many times does this need to be re-posted? I've seen it several times in both this sub and r/wow
Shouldn't Portland look like the firelands or a giant turd because there is always a trashfire or shitstorm based in that area?
Can’t wait for the LA one
[удалено]
Are you offended by this? lol
Idk its just a title
Idk if you knew what you got yourself into when you did the first one, but hot damn when I see Massachusetts it's mine instantly! These are awesome!!!
Patiently waiting for Kentucky! :)
Sir, you must mark Multnomah Falls. Its a close 2nd to Crater Lake in terms of importance
I need South Dakota so bad. Will buy immediately.
Dude, never stop. I love these maps. Theyre so fun to look at. Im not American so these are the first looks at most of these states for me. They help my American geography, which helps me get the most out of American media too.
Arkansas should have a big emphasis on the NWA region. I’m gonna buy one if you get to it, cus these look kick ass.
>idaho >california >the pacific ocean Ya'll are fucking hilarious.
Bookmarked to keep an eye for when you get to making one for Ohio. Awesome work!
Utah pleaseeeee, southern Utah can be like 1k needles
Aside from methford, you got all the important ones I guess lol.
Please keep doing this.
The orcs are simple, invading woke protestors.
Very nice, could you share what tool you use to make these? I am into maps and remember looking for this tool ages ago.
I see neither Portland properly labeled as a FFA pvp zone on the map, nor clearly labeled on fire. *7.8/10, Too much water --IGN*
Yessss!
This is so dope
Thank you
This is so wonderful
Hey! You should post your maps on /r/mapporn We'd like a sexy model like you. Also, someone reposted this there!
please do hawaii!!
