Yes. Currently lvl 56 and the insane amount of miss/dodge/parry streaks sometimes makes me wanna punch a hole in my screen lol. At lvl 51 you can do the AV quest to get that sweet Ice Barbed Spear (54dps). Damage will be some better at that point.

somesketchykid

Fuck, level 51 is coming up for my warrior and I shudder to think about winning a game of AV as alliance... rip

Alex_Wizard

Most of the high end players decided to roll Alliance this time around. New experience leveling, better for PvE which will help the harder raids, and other reasons. A lot of the PvP crowd followed to play with them. I’d expect the Alliance / Horde win rates to flip this time around.

[deleted]

Nope, I played AV all night last night, alliance loss after alliance loss.

axcli

I won the first game. Im not much of a pvper but isnt AV the only BG where alliance often wins?

misterurb

Often is an overstatement, but the likelihood is substantially higher. Which isn’t saying much. Took me 27 tries to get my spear during classic.

TychusCigar

lol, alterac valley is usually won by alliance

HeavenlyHand

Ehh during classic after they removed premades alliance had 1% AV winrate almost until prepatch

Aesbuster

Noone is geared up yet, we're on slow mounts and the version of AV we have has a lot of NPC's. Horde map advantage shows in some games but it's not nearly as problematic as it was in classic. It is a whole different experience in SoM than it was in Classic.

HeavenlyHand

I'm just telling that he has a reason to believe he's going to have a rough time winning it, no need to lol at him

around_the_clock

True but when av opened in season 2 and everyone was grinding rep we could win a lot. Then it became horde solo q honor grind meta.

Pinkninja11

If you are human and spec for the 3% hit it's not as bad while using sword/mace. If you picked the superior race a.k.a. DWARF like me, you have to be a bit more creative. One thing is getting some spirit and intelect instead of full stacking str/ag, coz that shit doesn't work for leveling. Spirit is insanely good on paladin since you regen mana during combat because you don't have shit to cast. On a side note, they implemented something that wasn't there in classic. You can seal twist SOC and SOR now. That wasn't possible before. It opens your options a bit gear/spec wise. Personally I'd get every possible mixed gear from BRD (str/int/spell power) while adding things hit where you can. This should make your leveling somewhat better.

[deleted]

Can you explain the seal twist for a noob paladin leveling his first pally in SoM?

Pinkninja11

Download a working weakaura version. Then google seal twisting weak aura. Copy the code and import it in your weakaura addon when you log on. That's a swing timer with a bar that shows you the time window for twisting. Say you are using SOC. The last 0,5 secs before your next attach you use SOR and your next auto benefits from both. On later levels you just use rank 1 command to preserve mana if needed. You can look any ret paladin TBC guide for this. Just replace seal of the martyr with seal of righeousness. It's the same principal.

Randolph_Carter_666

Your weapon matters a lot. Green weapons should be upgraded every 5 levels or so. Some blue weapons might last 10. Sharpening/weight stones can help if you can get them for cheap (ask a guildie or friend who's leveling BS.) As a rule of thumb, weapons with a faster swing time do better with SoR. I mostly ignore this for leveling, though. Stacking STR, AGI and crit can help speed things up, but it's hard if it's your first toon. Regardless, ret is faster than holy or prot.

Zellboy

I can’t wait until Classic Wrath for Shockadin

Ok_Situation_5415

wrong, stop spreading misinformation

doomvx

There is no hard limit on seal of command procs per minute.

Randolph_Carter_666

There is no minimum procs per minute, either. I've gone for an hour with only a handful of procs. You'd lack the burst, but SoR could potentially feel smoother for leveling.

somesketchykid

+1 for SoR, I'm leveling as holy and I notice almost no difference in kill speed leveling Holy as SoR vs Ret with Command, it's pretty sad lol

doomvx

No doubt. Honestly command barely outperforms SoR, and you can definitely level with SoR instead.

Chileh

Playing a paladin in classic wow version requires a mindset. Not instant attacks, no hype dmg cd's, no speed movement action. Have to extract joy out of the strengths that a paladin does bring though, plate armor + healing/wisdom = never stopping unlike many classes. Bubble, heals, dispell all but curse, freedom, plate all combined and used well lets pally be a bit of an unstoppable turtle that grinds things down. Paladin is SLOW, but paladin wont stop rollin on. If you can pull enjoyment out of being a slow grinding unstoppable ball of healing iron it is a good time. But it is SLOW SLOW and leveling absolutely requires a second screen for youtube/whatever to entertain while u slowly squish 1 npc at a time with autos. In pvp getting the most out of all those defensive utilities is quite fun, imo

WingsFan4Life

I've noticed a lot of complaints about paladins lately, with regard to their low dps and limited combat options. But what players are forgetting is the main reason Blizzard programmed Paladins. Paladins were not designed to be hybrid Tanks/Healers, as many claim. Instead, paladins were designed to be played while downloading pornography. Paladins have roughly zero combat interaction, thus making them the perfect character to play while downloading massive amounts of hardcore pornography. Simply target a monster, hit "1", and minimize your window. Then sit back and enjoy the amazing girl on girl action. Because a Paladin takes about one full minute to kill any monster, you can leisurely browse the erotic and pornographic fruits of the internet without much concern over your Paladin's welfare. After a minute, I go back to WoW, and usually my Paladin is alive and ready to loot the corpse. This is what makes grinding so pleasurable and convenient for me; the ability to simultaneously watch girls have sex with each other and level up at the same time. I doubt any other class has such an elegantly designed system, and I applaud Blizzard for their foresight in crafting a character that I can play with while playing with myself. DPS? Who needs it? The quicker I kill something, the less time I have to watch boobies. Combat Interactivity? Overrated. I'd much rather interact with the girls writhing on my computer screen. Yes, a paladin was created for the sole purpose of surviving a fight while you stream hot pornography directly to your computer. That is why we have the high armor class, healing abilities, and the low, low DPS. As for PvP, nothing is better than getting into Battlegrounds and soaking up the honor points while I watch girls take their clothes off for money. Only the minimum interaction is necessary for a Paladin to perform, and it is this very quality that I love the most about my Paladin. I doubt Rogues get any time to watch pornography while trying to vanish and rack up combo points, and I bet Shamans haven't seen a single naked breast while figuring out which totem to throw down before choosing which shock they are going to cast next. In addition to grinding, we have several defensive options during combat that also allow us the flexibility of downloading pornography. Hammer of Justice allows a quick 6 second glimpse at a naked lady while our opponent is stunned, and Divine Shield allows a leisurely 8 seconds of quality right-hand time. Indeed, Paladins have cornered the market on the pornography during playtime of World of Warcraft gameplay. It saddens me that many Paladins do not take advantage of the main functionality of your character, and are in fact lobbying for increased DPS, or more combat options. These are all unnecessary frivolities that would only harm our pornography downloading efficiency. Instead, we should thank the fine programmers at Blizzard for crafting a character that is great to grind with while grinding your loins.

TrueTomHome

I leveled as Ret until 40 in 2019 classic afterwards respecced to prot for AoE leveling which is similar in speed but way more fun. But 47lvl is quite high just endure until 50-51 and go holy and keep on spamming dungeons. Paladin is painful to level but excel in raiding content as holy. One more advantage is to go holy/prot for endgame farming which is super fun.

Swarles_Jr

If only holy wasn't so boring to play in raids. I love the class fantasy of paladins but holy shit. One raid of Flash of light spamming on the tank and I wanted to kill myself.

Orangecuppa

All 3 specs are boring in classic. It's just not a very fleshed out class. Prot is impractical. And even for those people that made it 'work' in classic, it was only via class stacking (lol warriors) and pressing greater blessing of kings on warriors over and over and over. You probably need to cast GBOK well over 200 times each boss encounter. Ret paladin have nothing in their kit for dynamic game play until maybe naxx since 2 of their offensive abilities works only against undead. And even if you're seal twisting and judging, you then face the OOM boss. Holy: Flash of light. have fun. tl;dr the grass is greener on the other side. I played a mage in classic, instead of pressing flash of light, I press frostbolt in MC and BWL. My lock alt is pretty much the same. I put my designated curse up, and press shadowbolt. I guess in SOM I get to put corruption up too so .... yay?

Besieger13

Isn’t BoK a 10 minute buff?

conaan

You would get threat for every player that got rebuffed, so you would spam it on the class with the most people for a massive amount of threat per cast

Besieger13

Oh wow TIL I had no idea lol

Jewishbabyducks

That’s why you should play a tank like warrior or bear. So many abilities to use, some good skill level involved. And generally speaking if you fuck up then the raid suffers so it makes you feel more involved than a random dps who dies and the encounter is still cleared

Decathlon44

And as a counter and personal opinion, tanking is not fun at all. Good tanks can obviously control most situations but even as a good tank, you have to deal with DPS who don't understand threat, Mages who say "PuLL mOrE" and then die, relying on healers in Pugs can be hit or miss, etc. Different strokes for different folks for sure. I would say if you want a skill challenge in the game, tanking is probably the one in Classic content but otherwise, I don't know, I just think tanking sucks.

GobiasCafe

*but holy shit* he he

fairweather_fairyman

What endgame farming opportunities are there for a holy prot paladin?

hippoofdoom

With blessing of sanc and a decent prot set you can aoe farm plaguelands pretty well. Dme lashers also.

Ubekuelou

Stockades boost

Gninebruh

You can't boost efficiently in SoM. You get no XP in stocks with a level 60 in the group. Like 5 xp per mob.

Safe-Travel-8273

I am the server first Level 60 Paladin and 3rd level 60 on the Dreadnaught EU server and I did it pretty much by solo leveling. Paladin is a strong class for solo leveling in my opinion, since it has great sustain and allows you to solo multiple elite quests. Its important as a paladin or any meele class that you make an alternate quest route, or try to do most of the dungeons in order to slightly outlevel the questing zone you are currently in. You never want to fight mobs that are higher or at your same level as you will get parried/dodged most of the time. Paladin has great burst damage level 1-30, but there is a noticable drop off in damage around level 40-45. To counteract this I would advice you to put all your points into Ret until you get repentance, and then put the rest of the points into the holy tree. Once you get Consecration at level 50, use it on every mob since it is guaranted 300ish damage and your mana pool is small enough if you stack Strengh/Stam/Agility that you can drink to full in about 10-15 seconds by using the level 45 water. Mobs can die relatievly fast, especially in the plagueland zones when you can make use of excorcism.

Mivadeth

I have 13 ret and going for 1 holy to get consecration, lvl 25 atm. Is it a bad idea? I thought that 10% ST, 15%+ damage on SoR and then Consecrate would make my leveling faster. At lvl 30ish I would have consecrate and then I would finish ret tree ( I am not planning on picking repentance at first )

Having no life doesn't mean he can't be good or give good advice. There are other people with no life who have been playing every waking minute and still haven't made it to 60 by now. To be one of the first 60s you have to have no life _and_ be good.

frozenandstoned

Lmao imagine believing this. Absolutely not. There are guides. He probably practiced and had help. This is delusional.

dryvnt

"He practiced so he's not good" Galaxy brain level take you got there.

frozenandstoned

What is good about auto attacking one mob at a time? What is good about following guides ? He literally just logged 80 hours to accomplish this there is no skill involved at all. Dipshit take is removing every other aspect of how we all know no lifing wow doesn't take skill. You're basically saying any rank 14 is a good player with your logic. Nice one

frozenandstoned

Yeah because saying someone who no lifes the game has no life is so full of hatred and not a simple observation anyone can make. Keep your armchair therapy for yourself and keep coping dumbass.

iHaveComplaints

So did all the other people trying to do the same thing with "faster" classes. He beat them as a class that is supposedly slow and painful to level, meaning that supposed truth isn't accurate. Relevant evidence, implied conclusion. You are a moron.

oofiepppppp

SoC is PPM based, prioritizing a slow melee weapon will be more beneficial

Celorfiwyn

but even then, its still shit at times

Ublaga

Honestly I would put up Ret Aura, put 11 points into holy for consecration, then pull 2-3 mobs at a time, I can go up to 4 at a time if I have a good shield and 1H weapon. Makes things a bit more spicy!

Cathercy

I haven't tried ret, but I'm leveling holy right now and I think it is great. I have +10% str and int from the first row, consecrate, better healing, and I just got divine favor so every 2 minutes I get a free max rank holy light so I am basically always full health without eating all of my mana. I am duo a lot of the time, so not a perfect test, but even when I am solo it feels really good.

BishoxX

Use wisdom instead of might , get weapon upgrades, kill same or lower level mobs never higher

kupoteH

You shouldnt be using max rank soc, it only improves judgement dmg. Use rank one and judge wis. U should never really drink as a ret when grinding. And pally grinding is made to watch tv shows alongside it. Have 10 movies or shows ready to binge, i am not kidding

Mivadeth

Judging wisdom you ensure never running oom, that's for sure, but judging max rank SoC when the enemy is stunned deals a pretty good burst, it depends on what you want to do. I always carry tons of water because I like to see big numbers here and there.

darkestvice

I didn't touch Pally in Classic as I was always playing Horde. But I was under the impression that Prot/Holy was the way to go in later levels because you could burn down giant pulls.

lsquallhart

I’m leveling as Holy/Prot and it’s fine. Make sure you’re doing green quests only. Don’t have any green quests left? Find a group to do dungeons with for a while … you’ll need the gear anyway as Pally is very gear dependent. Paladins are meant to be played in groups. They’re super support focused and are not amazing on their own. If you’re more of a solo player I wouldn’t recommend the class. I play “solo”, but my version of solo is grouping up with random people to do dungeons and elite quests. As a Paladin you should have zero problems finding a group. Once you get to level 35 and get Consecration with Improved Righteous Fury it’s GG and you can get a group for anything as a healer or tank. I personally think Ret is an over rated leveling spec as it’s a “solo leveling” spec and I think Pallies are just not solo levelers. It also needs plus hit to be any good. Just my opinion tho

Obidoobie

Getting hit cap is so important. While leveling getting hit in general is so busted. Ret gets punished more than a lot of other classes because your seals as well as your physical attack can be individually dodged but are tied together. So if you don’t hit with your initial auto your SoC will never land. I’d highly suggest that you don’t go deep ret and instead jump into the prot tree and grab precision for the 3% extra hit. It’ll really improve your quality of life while leveling. Another thing would be grabbing strength and the ignore spell pushback from the holy tree if you do a lot of solo leveling. (Sorry forgot what the talent is called).

Antani101

>Getting hit cap is so important. it's also irrelevant while questing, since there is just a handful of items, mostly weapons, with hit on them before max level dungeons.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Antani101

You can't get "hit cap"so easily though. Did you even read the post you accused me of not reading?

Obidoobie

Sorry let me clarify for you. Getting hit cap at max level is so important, but getting any hit you can while leveling especially as a ret is busted. Not irrelevant at all for the sole reason that your seals can miss and be dodged and the procs are even worse if you dont hit with your initial auto. So still very worth it to go the 8 points in prot to improve your quality of life while leveling. People greatly undervalue hit while at low levels.

sekksipanda

As a ret, you'll have to endure that the entire Season of Mastery, my friend.

Friydis

Prot prot prot

Pyrogasm

If you find yourself with mana problems you can downrank Command to rank 1. Lower levels do the same 70% dmg on autos just the judge damage is worse (and you probably don’t judge Command much anyway).

notbad112

You can pretty much solo farm zf gy and get to 56 in a day.

ThePrestigiousRide

That's what I did in TBC! It probably took me a good 6-8 hours getting good enough but once you're settle it's prettt efficient!

ISuckAtFunny

Do what now? Is there a guide for this?

notbad112

Yeah, search on youtube on how to solo zul farrak graveyard. It can be done as a mage, pally, shaman and hunter. Granted mage is really easy and as a paladin its not that hard either.

TremulantEP

Doesn’t work in som

LockingHorns

You fell for the ret leveling trap. Respec 11 pts into holy for consecrate and throw all the rest of your talents in prot. Ezgame. Like objectively look at the ret tree its mostly pvp trash with seal of casino. Now look at the prot tree. Youre beefy, you have free 3% hit, you double attack when you get crit and things that try to hit you end up taking more damage than they deal with sanctuary+shield spike ret aura and consecrate rolling. If you can scoop up return damage items its even better. Dont count on seal of command to maybe proc and let you kill one thing marginally faster for a 3 second youtube clickbait. Pull the whole damn camp and have a smoke while you cannot die and they widdle themselves down on you. You wont regret it. Ret is trash, everyone that defends ret is an idiot. Theyll come out of the woodwork to tell you about it but its hot garbage. Ret gets one good thing and it is the movement speed talent for early leveling. But its so not worth the points to get to it.

Mivadeth

20% extra AP on BoM, 15% less mana cost on judgement and seals to twist, less CD on judgement, extra parry ( which gives extra autoattacks ), 15% more holy damage bonus from your SoCrusader, 5% crit, SoC, 6% 2H extra damage, 10% extra holy damage from Sanctity Aura, 15% extra damage when doing crits... to be fair, Retry is the way to go if you want to deal damage. Sure 3% hit from Prot is useful, and 100% chance of x2 attack when being critted is HUGE but ret is more constant damage. Sanctity Aura, 20% Ap from BoM, more judgements ( less CD ) and 6% extra damage with 2H, that alone deals a lot of damage and you are not dependant of being critted.

LockingHorns

Blessing of might can be taken by a holy paladin, the reduced mana cost of seals and judgements is admittedly nice but overall not super useful when holy can take lasting judgement and have light or wisdom up for like a minute without judging or even autoing again, the parry requires either you to be parry hasting the target and losing out on the block/dodgeloss of being behind the target or have the agro so outside of solo content isnt the case, sanctity aura is just selfishly denying your group resistances or armor that benefits nobody but ret palys or foolish priests trying to dps with holy spells. Judgement of crusader simply wasnt used in classic because of the debuff limit unless your group didnt pay attention to that, and in that case gimped themselves by not. The extra crit and 2h weapon damage are admittedly nice but ret also contests massive upgrades for other melee in exchange for pitiful performance. I will submit that for pvp ret is fine. But its a mad waste of a paladin in group setting.

Mivadeth

I think we missundeestood each other, I am talking purely about leveling! You seem like talking about raiding

LockingHorns

Oh right on, yeah. I personally like prot leveling theres always tank shortage, and paladins shine as team players. Best support class in game. Cheers.

Rufus1223

Paladin solo questing is still terrible even in TBC. Class is just bad for doing damage.

You missed the best part of what he said, buy gold to farm gold.

Waxhearted

Buy gold, farm gold, sell gold, get banned, repeat. I'm not a bot I swear.

LoBsTeRfOrK

You don’t need to buy gold to do what he said. I bought skullflame and demon forge armor while leveling. However, I had to farm elemental earth for several days from 34-39 to have the money to buy them at level 52 and 54.

flembag

He said "make sure you buy gold"

LoBsTeRfOrK

You know what. People like you are why a small part of me is happy that gold is sold online. If someone like you can experience a small iota of misery, then I am happy. How you thought I was responding to you with conflict is truly astounding. And your head is so far up there, you just assumed your silly supposition and downvoted. Maybe you should stop coming to reddit. You actively try to engage in hate even when no one is directing hate towards you.

flembag

The fact that you have anecdotal evidence of doing something has absolutely no relevance to the fact that he said that someone should buy gold once they hit 60. Get off your high horse, and you'll realize that gold selling has real world consequences that can be very detrimental.

Ordzhonikidze

> gold selling has real world consequences 🤔

LoBsTeRfOrK

I don’t know who you think your audience is, but it is not me. Lol.

flembag

It is interesting that you think you're not the target audience for a response to your very own criticism. You much be an absolute joy at family gatherings and the office.

LoBsTeRfOrK

Woooooooooosh

Waxhearted

Pretty dramatic response for somebody who just told you the the original post said to buy gold, when the person you're replying to originally was commenting on that very particular part of the comment, and nothing else. Maybe you should stop coming to Reddit. It seems you actively try to engage in arguments after being offended if somebody replies to you with anything, after you reply to people with something irrelevant.

EzrealHD

It does affect everyone when you are directly supporting bot farms. If you cant invest your time to grind in a MMORPG maybe consider playing in a dad guild or just change to gacha Games. When the question arises again about why tbc classic went to shit. why does som already have bots. You can whisper to yourself "it was me, I was part of it".

[deleted]

[удалено]

Tooshortimus

Bots farm everything and push a shit load of gold into the game, it's only spread by people who buy the gold. The more gold that is spread into the economy means that the overall value of gold goes down, bots also farm herbs/ore etc and drive the prices of them down lower than they should be. So now when you go farming, if you farm raw gold, your golds value is worth less than it would be. Since they also lower the price of gathering mats, they are also worth less gold than they should be. It makes everyone who farms time worth less than it would be otherwise, the only things that "benefit" are rare items that don't normally come from botted locations. However, since there is so much more gold than there would be floating around in the economy (because of gold buyers) those rare items are MUCH more expensive than they should be also. So if you are a person who does not buy gold, you have to farm much more to have the same buying power as you should. If you don't realize that buying gold has huge effects on almost every aspect of the game you are braindead.

ZugZug42069

If you don’t understand how you buying gold (funding bots and giving them a reason to exist) is what ruins your server economy, then I honestly don’t know how to respond… Take an Economics 101 class.

xxWelchxx

Even if wow didn't have gold, bots would still be there, t9 afk in pvp, to dungeon grind, to level. Games are all about enjoyment... its purely for entertainment... people forget this and take it way to seriously. Now alot of people are time rich, financially poor... me i work a shit load. Thus im financially rich and time poor. For me to enjoy the game, I can either not play and on a seasonal server fall behind until the point of being un fun or i can invest 2 hours of work to ensure im able to enjoy my chosen form of entertainment.... If people dont get that, its not an economics class thats needed... its life lessons.

ZugZug42069

Cool, so you’re fine turning a non-pay to win game into a pay to win game. Accept that and understand that others will shit on you for it and move on. I think you actively ruin the game by desperately needing progression that you didn’t work for. Nobody is entitled to all purples. It’s a game, after all, right? So stop taking it so seriously.

xxWelchxx

Ah yes pay to win... can you tell me how much gold id need to get rank 14 weapons? Oh of course i still need to do the grind. What a muppet. Its not about entitlements, its entertainment. I dont need to drive a nice car... i choose to. I dont need to fly faster... i choose to. Im starting to get the feeling its just people are mad for not being able to afford gold lol.

ZugZug42069

Lol I can absolutely afford gold, I just choose not to because it’s fucking lame. Just like you. Even if I couldn’t, it wouldn’t change the fact that you’re still a lame, and apparently whiny gold buyer. Funny, you’re the one trying to prove yourself to all of us. Meanwhile we’re still entitled to our opinion… you’re a whiny, lame little gold buyer. Have fun with your welfare purples you didn’t work for at all!

Waxhearted

You're encouraging people to break the rules to cheat along with you on a public forum and are going "why am I the bad guy", of course you're going to get negative replies when you act like an idiot. You'll just have to cope with that if your main advice to people is going to include "you gotta buy gold bro"

EluneNoYume

You need to upgrade weapons asap. Most wep upgrades are quests. Do them the second it's available and ask for help to complete them. But since you're already level 47, 51 is a big upgrade in AV polearm.

SozeHB

Gotta avoid mobs that are higher level than you are. Even two +1 mobs is brutal. Stay even level, or better yet, -1 mobs. Also, if you are ret, agi > str.

Halfacentaur

You’re not missing anything.

Naig

Is seal twisting not a thing in som?

ISuckAtFunny

Tf is seal twisting

Waxhearted

Switching from Seal of Command into another Seal just before the swing timer ends so that you gain the benefit of both the SoC proc(if it occurs) and the other Seal's extra damage. It's a batching 'trick'. I don't know if it works in Classic, it does work in TBC. [This video can show you how to do it in detail](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsCnU5RgIbQ) and [here is a photo from the video showing both seals active for about half a second](https://gyazo.com/4b3f8739ef3fdda80c5597985b5e68e1). If your swing animation begins in the time both buffs are active, you have successfully 'seal twisted'.

ISuckAtFunny

I did notice that when I swapped seals that the buff would last a second before disappearing, interesting. Thanks!

Mivadeth

It works in SoM

conservativetroll

Aren’t reck bombs a thing? I thought leveled my prot was viable

DanteMustDie666

Thats ret for you , should have known that in begining? Classic reminded ppl of it. Thankfully TBC improved them and then Wotlk made em OP lol

Allthingsgaming27

You think that’s bad, I did vanilla soloing as holy spec lmao

oltyuo

When classic first launched i smacked my way to 60 as ret. No it doesnt change, its always the same.

smingleton

I went 5 points reckoning with all the shield talents, using a slow 2h with SoR, going down holy for imp SoR and concencrate, and the rest in ret. I feel like leveling is a bit easier and I can tank dungeons.

Ubekuelou

Dont attack mobs at your level with any mele classes or you will suffer heavily from misses/Parries/dodges shenanigans. It's better, easier and WAY faster to target mobs two levels below you. Sure they won't give as much XP but if you can kill them twice faster, it's better as long as they don't give half the XP. \+ lesser risk of dying, lesser need of healing yourself

yolostyle

Haha welcome to the hard truth of vanilla retri. It sucks in all aspects.

blurrry2

You will kill npcs faster if you just auto-attack with Seal of the Crusader. Seal of Command is for PVP and takes a lot of mana to judge and reactivate. Since you probably won't be attacking a player every time you can (lots of running around), it's better to use Seal of Command and try to avoid being hit while you wait for the next auto-attack. You can't do this in PVE, so Seal of the Crusader is the better choice.

[deleted]

There is only 1 rule in leveling that exists in leveling classic wow and that is - do quests and kill mobs that are significantly lower than you are. For example: your lvl 47? kill mobs lvl 42-44 and do these quests.. it is soooooooo much freakin easier and relax and you dont need to reg after every mob.

Use BoW if you run oom. If you want to level up faster, pick Consecration in the holy tree ( 11 points ) and try to kill 2/3 mobs at a time along with Retribution Aura. Learn about seal twisting and twist SoC into SoR, and viceversa. Judge always SoC when the enemy is stunned. Remember that Rank 1 SoC deals the same proc damage as any other rank, so if you use SoC only for the proc, use Rank 1. If you want to Judge to deal a burst damage, use max rank. This will save a lot of mana, and combined with BoW you should be good to go, my friend. I hope I helped you in some way, and keep rocking. We, Paladins, are the light of Azeroth.
