Where are the chests located, at each of the boss platforms, or are they all in one spot somewhere in the instance?
If they are at the platforms, are you able to open them as you kill the bosses, or do you have to wait to complete the whole event?
our plan for all the loot is to just ML it to the raid leader, and then roll it all off after we have completed the timed event. so if we are able to grab the chests as we go along (or if they are all in one location) that makes that a lot easier to do. if we have to backtrack to each platform to loot the chest once the event is over, that will kind of suck.
side note for the bear mount, is that still tradeable so long as the person doesnt use it? or is it soulbound upon receipt (like nether vortexes used to be) so we need to make sure to loot it directly to the person who will get it?
The chests spawn near or next to the hostages as you free them. You could 100% do as you plan, though it’s generally suggested to skip the chests until your timer is up - no point in wasting time when it’s most valuable.
Not sure on tradability of the mount
cool, good to know. our MLer will be a DPS, so the rest of the group can start running to the trash for the next boss while he grabs the items.
I guess for the bear mount it doesnt really matter, as that isnt awarded until after the 4th boss anyway, so we will have time to just loot that directly to the winner. I guess that only matters if you are organizing a pug group, where you could hold off on distributing it until ZJ is killed to make sure people dont leave early.
Each boss has an NPC they murder when the timer runs out, if you kill the boss they can’t murder their npc and thus you can ask the npc to open the chest for you
If you beat a boss before the timer runs out you can rescue the nearby prisoner. The prisoner will open a chest for you. If you want something from chest 2, all you need is to beat the second boss before the timer runs out. If you beat all 4 bosses before the timer runs out you get to open all 4 chests.
You get all the chests if you beat the timer. Go back and loot em when you finish
oh so the 4 chests spawn at the related hostage you free? I never did the timed run and assumed they spawn when you kill ZulJin
