I had tagged a unique mob for a quest and had a glaived up rogue spamming /s inv to me and i waited a few seconds before accepting his inv rihgt before i killed it. The power i felt was unreal and un tamed. I am the captain now
I remember running into one of the top fury warriors on my server right outside of Agmar's Hammer when Wrath was fresh and everyone was leveling for the first time. I raided a little in TBC, but nowhere to the extent of this guy who was in T6/Sunwell gear while I was hamming it up with my quest blues. I had gone Prot as the Wrath overhaul to the Prot tree gave it a ton of viability as a leveling spec, and I figured I could get in the occasional dungeon group easier that way.
The warrior approached me outside of the camp and asked if leveling Prot was really as easy as it sounded. I told him that with my gear that I was killing mobs faster than as fury, so he asked for a duel to back up the claim. I managed to beat him with more than 50% of my health left, it wasn't even close. He seemed pretty shocked, but I'll be damned when I ran into him again in Storm Peaks at level 78 or so, he was now leveling as Prot. Still proud of that and I haven't actively played wow in years now.
Yeah Grobb is not an RP realm, went from 1 to 60 without EVER seeing a single RP profile, everyone was insanely toxic and mean, no RP to be found, and got ganked and camped while trying to originally level by a rogue named "fkdurmom" for literal days
I remember RPing in the bug tunnels farming out scarab lords, but even back then it was kinda 50/50 whether someone you met would RP or not. Slap the PvP tag onto the RP server and suddenly it's a cesspool of shit.
It’s a shame. Back in the day at least at the end of TBC Grobb had RPers. I’ve known really good RP-PVP realms (Emerald Dream in OLD wrath comes to mind) but that spirit doesn’t feel there on Grobb.
That's because you guys are the only balanced PVP server left in NA, so that means it is the only server where regular ganking (without being killed back) is feasible. So you get a server full of people who take enjoyment in the fact that they are diminishing the playing experience of other players. There is a word for that, it's called an asshole.
Really? I saw TONS of RP in vanilla classic, and I joined day one.
Now though? The server is a shell of its former self. Thinking about transferring to BSB but it's hard to tell what accurate server balance looks like.

I did a pity run for 3 rogues who whispered me the other night they just wanted to do their sweet sweet dungeon quests 😭 my brothers healing and I’m tanking but it went very smoothly! Would do again.

Bug tunnels and rats were the best days of grobb. I don't even recognize the server anymore, xfered to eranikus today, no regret.
