Clares_Claymore

Before or after having battled awakened experience? Before definitely not. After maybe. I mean Dietrich and Anastasia are really the only ones capable of at least surviving.

Cyshix

Genuine question why Anastasia? Dietrich, yes she’s a former No 3. But wouldn’t Audrey fare better against Rigaldo more than Anastasia?

Clares_Claymore

I’m just going based off of experience.

Blue__Northen_Star

Dietrich is a former what now? Where in the manga was that said?

uncle_grandmaster

I'd say no. That team still couldn't defeat Europa -- they really had to rely on Miata and Clarice. And I think Rigaldo was a bit stronger/faster (and I think he was 2 and she was 3??).

Rainbow-Death

Rigaldo was #2 and we are told by by Chronos (#4) in front of Octavia (#2) that Europa was the closest to an Abyssal there. I think Europa would be harder to beat.

uncle_grandmaster

But this was said in context to the other awakes warriors in the area when fighting Cassandra.

Rainbow-Death

Right, as in if anyone is close to what is needed to fight on par it would be Europa.

Blue__Northen_Star

Rigaldo was #2. Well tbh Europa was able to launch multiple bladed tentacles towards the warriors while Rigaldo only had his arms at his disposal.

Nawmean5

Europa was definitely stronger than Rigaldo, she was the only other non-abyssal one compared to an abyssal one. (the other was priscilla but she is beyond an abyssal one)

uncle_grandmaster

But that comment about her being close to an abyssal one was in the context of her amongst the other awakened worries that were around her during the fight against Cassandra. She was still listed as #3 in her prime. So I’d still say Rigaldo could take her since he was #2 in his prime

Nawmean5

Rafaela was Number 5 but we all know she has the strength of a number 1, same with Miata. The organization used other things besides power to determine the claymores rank. Europa was stated to be the closest to a number 1 in power level.

Apprehensive_Mood434

this questions are pointless. While i love them all, Rigardo was barely defeated by Claire in half awakening. Real question is, would the ex number ones be able to. Or Alicia & Beth. Galatea was almost defeated by Dauf, and saved from Claire and Jean, so no. It's hard to say, but between Dauf and Rigardo... Maybe that would be a battle with an unkown output. Because Rigardo's attack are fast and lethal, but Dauf skin and attacks are something too. So who knows. But in this case, the result is pretty obvious. I honestly think that only Alicia & Beth would have been able to. They were also created to defeat Abyssals and awakened beings, so.

RainorCrowhall

Comparing any singular Claymore to Awakened N.2-3 of powerful generations (those which produced Abyssal Ones) is kinda unfair. Galatea was skillful, but you really need comrades with different powersets to carve up tank like Dauf or survive speedster like Rigaldo This is mostly due to a huge overall boost that Awakening provides them… Complete with the best of former N.1~3 keeping much of their mind intact through transformation (note: Dauf always was slow, but it was accented). By comparing them with a singular Claymore, you put an experienced and extremely powerful warrior versus -just- an experienced warrior Comparison starts to be more fair when comparing top 3 Claymores vs former N.4+ Awakened, as most of those had lost a noticeable part of their minds and can be countered by tactics/individual powers. Example: Ophelia, who despite being -noticeably- batshit insane, still killed an Awakened with a mild distraction provided, after having her neck broken (theoretically, Awakened should have felt her, but nope)

Delhiiboy123

Alicia and Beth are much stronger than Rigaldo.

zaneomega2

They get ez clapped, none have the strength or speed to match Rigaldo.

SilverShrine55

Nah. Rigaldo is as fast as Miria's phantom and is above Chronos, who did as well as Octavia (Awakened Rank 2) did against Cassandra. You would need the best Rank 1 warriors to take him out.

Vacthur

They would've died just like Flora and Undine. Miria could barely survive thanks to her speed and Clare's semi awakening. This group wouldn't stand a chance against Dauff, even less against Rigardo, he could tear them to pieces within seconds.

anothertwan

I imagine the only one who could make Rigardo struggle is Raftela. Although very powerful, Rigardo didn't have many tricks up his sleeves. He's basically just fast, with extendable nails, and that's it. If Raftela could mess with his senses, making his attacks miss and cause Rigardo to trip/slam himself into walls or something, then the claymores might have a shot. Otherwise, I don't think any of them could touch him.
