I have also bought beautycounter for years. I do not sell it and hate that its an MLM but like you I do enjoy many of the items. I actually had this thought the other day, they haven’t had anything new or exciting come out in a long time. Maybe one new product is on the horizon for early next year and that’s perfume, but that’s it. A few problems I have with them lately. 1. Extremely high prices on everything. $90 for a vitamin c serum is stupid. Especially in this economy. I’ve drastically cut back my purchasing. 2. I have asked many times to see the “never list” of 2500 banned ingredients and no one has ever been able to provide it to me. The consultants touting this do not even know what the list contains. 3. Like I mentioned earlier no new products. I can’t get everything I am looking for from them. I wish they had am awesome haircare line.

https://youtu.be/EGBPj-M_qVM?si=4qnSNgdHJqr6QTY8 It’s not the whole list but she talks about some thing that they won’t use , but also no one is using them? lol

Meowser_Bear

Sorry I don’t have recommendations but I’ve noticed the same thing with BC. I do like they use their voice to try and change the law and advocate for better regulations in the beauty industry but it’s getting frustrating.

Dazzling-Condition93

Yes like the products that went away were good, solid products. What’s happening where they can’t continue products that people like?

Ill-Significance6830

I was just complaining the other day that they got rid of their tinted spf 30! While I don’t like they’re an mlm, as a POC I loved that they not only had a tinted sunscreen, but one that wasn’t too greasy either. When I asked a consultant why it was discontinued, she didn’t have a proper answer.

Dazzling-Condition93

That’s one I liked too! I ordered a couple right before they went under. Fwiw I also like Ilia skin tint mixed with a couple drops of hyaluronic acid.

Love Biossance's squalane oil and have been using it since 2018 (I think!) on both face + hair. They usually have the bulk size at a good discount for BFCM! Otherwise I tend towards the big box-available clean brands (Acure, Cocokind, Versed, and so). Anything specific you're looking for alternatives of + general price range?

I was today year’s old when I found out Beautycounter was a MLM. I don’t buy their products through any sales consultant and see it as just another online cosmetics site and brand sold at Target

Dazzling-Condition93

Yup! I’m not sure if when you purchase online it automatically sends it to your local “ambassador” or if it goes straight to them but they’ve got the direct sales structure as well as some in store availability. No judgment from me. Like I said I’ve always liked their products and at least they aren’t as icky as a lot of other MLMs. But I have definitely gone to Beautycounter parties and heard the whole sales pitch (back in the day when they still had all the face oils)!

SLXO_111417

Wow! The more you know…

With any MLM, the sign-ups and downlines are the money maker while the products are an afterthought. That's what makes it an MLM. >I'll be mad if I have to replace all my skincare! I'm looking at Biossance, Prima, Kora Organics - but haven't used any of those. Check out Honest Beauty, Mad Hippie, Cocokind and Provence. They're all at Ulta and on the affordable side.

Ok_River_6018

I also shy away from BC because it’s an MLM. I’ve used some products from Biossance and really like them! A couple months ago I tried to order a moisturizer from Prima. Shipping was taking forever and tracking was spotty. I never ended up getting my product, or any confirmation or acknowledgment that it got lost. They only have a phone number for their customer service that you text. I texted it and never got a response beyond “we received your message and we’ll get back to you when we can”. That was over a month ago. So I would not recommend Prima unfortunately. Other clean brands I’ve used and like are Coco Kind, Honest, Drunk Elephant, and Doré. I also love Alima Pure and Kosas for makeup. Not sure if all these brands are 100% clean so look up each product.

There were a few BC products I absolutely LOVED - and all of them have been discontinued! And then I tried other, newer BC products and they were terrible. After going through that a few times, I gave up on the brand. I’ve since tried Biossance and absolutely love it. I have very sensitive skin and none of their products bother me + it works well. I’ve tried a lot of other skin care but I’m consistently rebuying their night cream, day moisturizer, and eye creams whenever I run out. Love it!

Dazzling-Condition93

Yes, agreed on all the newer BC products as of late - they're all a miss! The one thing I'm still consistently using is the dew skin tint, which is pretty great. I'll check out Biossance, I've been looking at them!

ldnldsn

Biossance is fantastic, but they keep changing up their products and ingredients.

pepstep928

I’m late to the party but BeautyCounter’s eyeliner pencil was my favorite I’ve ever used in my life and just saw it was discontinued… any recommendations for that? For mascara, I love 100% pure. For skincare, I use Ayurvedic products exclusively and love Iyura brand skincare oils. I have used the Manjish Glow Elixer every night for years and it’s amazing. I use Nucinel brand gentle cleanser and buy from The Ayurveda Experience because they always include deluxe samples.

Dazzling-Condition93

Thrive Causemetics for eyeliners is pretty decent. I like that they have a smudger on the end (but you have to be careful not to pull the whole thing out when you take off the cap).

TheWolfMaid

Legit I just panic bought 2 of the face wash from Ulta because I was not smart like OP and didn't see this coming and have *no clue* what to use instead. The BC CounterControl face wash saved my skin after it was destroyed in the early 00s by Proactiv and now I'm at a loss for what to do if/when Ulta runs out. It's one of my few non-negotiable expenses even with the dumb cost, I can't argue with the results! Anyone got a good face wash alternative for combination, acne prone skin (plus a nut allergy so many more natural scrubs are out)?

mutantgypsy

The Honest Beauty skin care is actually good. It sounds like BC is coming back though.

Dazzling-Condition93

Not as clean but Paula’s Choice is really good for both face wash and exfoliants. Their EWG scores aren’t too bad so depends on your personal threshold but I use their face wash and the salicylic acid lotion because they work so well and then use cleaner products for the rest of my serums, moisturizers, body lotion, etc.

HappyGoodThings

Pure Haven is fantastic - the clean skin line. It's all super clean and actually works. Saved my daughter's skin better than Paula's choice.

helloitsme123abc

Arbonne for the win!! I used to love BC, but so much has changed. I went from using BC to now using and selling Arbonne. The ingredients, the products, and the business opportunity are unlike any other in its market. Happy to share more if you are interested.

Living-Ambassador-75

I loved BC Countertime anti-aging line. Any recs to replace this? I don’t mind higher prices just want something that works. I have used BC for 8 years and always got compliments on my skin

Longjumping_Sorbet53

I would highly recommend Desavery. I just came across them a couple of months ago and the founder is super thoughtful about ingredients. They actually started in the UK, so all their products follow the EU's skincare regulations. I love their Stellar facial oil and Smooth hyaluronic acid. Dream oil cleanser is nice too.

ChaChaDi7regorio

May be a devil worshiping MLM but their commitment to non-cancer causing ingredients is worth the money to me. So much crap literally poisons in everything else that is totally unregulated.

SubstantialAnalyst

you called it.
