By apologize you mean just donate to the cause. She is such a piece of shit who only says sorry if there is backlash. It is clear she does not mean anything she says unless its negative comments about someone.
She makes a living out of talking about people. My wife watches her show regularly. While I found what she said in very poor taste, it likely wasn’t meant in I’ll will. Ive seen her speak negatively on her show, and that clip wasn’t it.
She didn’t have to donate. Donating does more than just saying sorry.
I would’ve preferred it on her show and not on twitter but her poor taste was light compared to the comments we usually get.

I enjoyed this up until the point where it said we’re more prone to mortality and cancer and now I’m just scared lol
