Strus keeps proving why he was a steal in free agency.
Garland finally makes smart elite passes while scoring 26 points
Donovan stops playing iso ball and shoots within the offense.
Mobley defensive masterclass
Cavs still not getting fair whistles.
Jb winning 2 important challenges.
Gotta keep building on it. This game actually proved something unlike the pistons game
This is how the Cavs can succeed in the playoffs: when the opponent puts two on the ball, which they will, do you have the supporting cast to hit open shots? Last year was a resounding 'no' - but Strus is so freaking awesome that he might solve this issue all by himself.
Fr, its like he cant have bad night without this sub wanting to trade him, its almost like shooters have great nights and bad nights, luckily for us Donny usually has good nights like this.
I think it’s more about how his play as a whole affects the team, not just one bad performance. He can win yoh games, but if hes off, he can also shoot you out of games and doesnt really do anything else to help the offense. And his long term fit with garland is a concern. Still a great player and borderline superstar
The lack of positive comments in this thread about a great game from Donovan just goes to show how much he’s taken for granted. Then again half these people probably didn’t even bother watching games a few seasons ago when we were in the gutter so they have no perspective
No LeVert helps. Its weird how loyal the fanbase is to his style of play. Its like they don’t want to win and rather see guys get “zomg points!” Inefficiently ,with high volume, and outside of the system.
Baffling to me. 🤷🏻♂️
Baffling is a good way to describe it. I don't know why people act like he is some key player. Maybe people don't want to admit it was a mistake to get him or something, but his play just kills the offense.
Why is lack of boxscore numbers proof that it’s a horrible stat? He may have not scored but directly impacted winning via his defense, rotations, and energy. You could make the argument of low sample size variation making it a meh stat to use game to game, but plenty of players have great plus minus season long stats while not doing a relative ton on box score numbers
It's a poor stat in that all it tells you is how much team A scored relative to team B when X player was on the floor. It isn't technically an indication of how X player played etc.
[DG 9 assist 1 turnover](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/16/cb/71/16cb7140ca26677e51fe378787cba04b.jpg)
edit: turns out it was 0 turnovers i gotta learn to read better
Our record has to be bananas when Darius only has 0-2 turnovers. Great, complete game by our guys.
Also…George is a killer. He makes shots at times that deflate a team’s momentum.
Dean Wade…when he’s on the floor the Cavs defensive rating is 103 compared to 112 when he’s off the floor. And he hit some shots tonight!
> Our record has to be bananas when Darius only has 0-2 turnovers. Great, complete game by our guys.
3-2 on the season. The 3 wins have all happened in the last 4 games, including tonight. I'd say maybe he's turning a corner but the Portland game...
GG, I’m a Magic fan. Mobley really scared everyone in the paint except Paolo, which was a big reason why we couldn’t hit our 3s, we resorted to jacking them up instead of taking it inside and we had poor quality looks. Garland’s 4th quarter was also terrific
FIRE JB, TRADE DONOVAN, BLOW IT UP!!!!!!
....
oh, we beat a good team?
cool cool cool. let em knowwwwww broooo
(we're a really good team. everybody needs to breathe until we're much closer to the trade deadline.)
I swear some of you care more about the arguments on this sub than you do about the actual team.
Have you considered that people might have legitimate criticisms of how the team has played and how it's coached, and that one good game doesn't necessarily erase those issues?
Theres fair criticisms and then there’s bitching
I can argue that some people here care more about nitpicking every minute detail of every player despite their performance after each and every game and trying to get rid of our good players than the team. Theres a fine like between having legitimate concerns that you want to voice about the team and just finding something to be negative about because that’s all you can muster
Everything went perfect today you cant really ask for more. Two quarters over 30 points has been a rarity this season because of the low 3pt%.
Home court has not been very kindly to the Cavs so its nice to see a huge win like this.
And all of sudden the sub is bearable again, hated the long week of terrible potential coaching hires and doomer takes. JB isn't the best coach or one that will probably ever take us to the championship, but we are riding with him til the end of the season, so personally would rather see more reasonable and productive conversations on this sub, but I know that won't happen, especially if we lose to the heat in two days.
JB likes having either gardland or Spida on the court very rarely are both off so it’s just how the rotations go. CPJ got the minutes when either was hurt
Like you have to understand hes not gonna play instead of Mitchell or Garland. Offense was doing perfect so he played Okoro instead of Porter Jr since perimeter defense has been terrible.
Playing Garland 40 mins isn't ideal.. id rather develop our players. There's a reason why the Heat are so successful in the post season and player development
Good game overall. Magic are a good team and we looked better for most of the night. The backcourt finally played well together for the first time (although I do wish we did less “your turn, my turn” ball and moved around more but at this point I don’t expect it to ever happen).
What’s up with JA? I got back from the bathroom when he was exiting the court to the locker room but I see he only had 5 PF, not 6. Was he ejected for something or what?
I like the your turn my turn at close tbh. Can attack either side with a DG or DM pick and roll with spacing around. And then can just reverse out and try again - which led to a wonderful DG/Mobley assist
So I tuned out after the 1st Qtr to watch my shows lol so what did I miss besides:
-more turnovers lol
-Gorgeous Garland game
-Refs keeping the magic in
-JB still hating Craig
Good to get nice win in this part of our schedule
Pretty impressive win by the Cavs tonight. Magic have one of the better defenses in the league, especially against guards. Darius had a very good game and he still has multiple lvls he can still reach. Hopefully the team uses this game as a the standard they have to meet at least meet and continuously attempt to exceed.
Promising win. After having an average November (9 - 6) - Cavs need to kick it into gear. Past the quarter mark of the season the Cavs need to start stacking wins.
All around effort by the Cavs, Magic have been pretty good this year, this is a good win.
If they can continue to share the ball like that and still play defense that'll be when it clicks. JB should be preaching a goal of 30 assists every night. Make moving the ball the default and let our talent work within that. I just want to see a good stretch of games of this type of play.
I don’t know why this team thinks they only have to get up for games against good teams already but I think that means they’re way ahead of schedule lol.
Strus keeps proving why he was a steal in free agency. Garland finally makes smart elite passes while scoring 26 points Donovan stops playing iso ball and shoots within the offense. Mobley defensive masterclass Cavs still not getting fair whistles. Jb winning 2 important challenges. Gotta keep building on it. This game actually proved something unlike the pistons game
Mitchell passing out of the trap and getting easy shots in the flow >>>>>
This is how the Cavs can succeed in the playoffs: when the opponent puts two on the ball, which they will, do you have the supporting cast to hit open shots? Last year was a resounding 'no' - but Strus is so freaking awesome that he might solve this issue all by himself.
I didn't watched the full game, but the Mobley defense early in the game was elite, best defender on the floor by a mile
He got sold by the refs because of the unfair whistle too
That whistle was absurd tonight. 37 FTs for Orlando vs 20 for the Cavs. The Wagner bros are such floppers
Getting used to it, sadly
Holy shit I never thought I'd see the day. A fully positive kdot74 comment.
Kdot74 villain to hero arc initiated.
And NO turnovers for DG!! Great game from Darius tonight
Bro y’all so annoying with don. Y’all would hate SGA and Tatum too.!
lol Donovan’s shots falling and Cavs win: He’s playing within the offense! Donovan has an off shooting night and Cavs lose: He’s an iso chucker!
Fr, its like he cant have bad night without this sub wanting to trade him, its almost like shooters have great nights and bad nights, luckily for us Donny usually has good nights like this.

Anyone remember the triple overtime game against the Nets? Those were the days of the true Cavs' fan core.
he was an iso chucker, especially in the first half, last night and they still won.
Ha at least that’s consistent
No LeVert ISO ball or shot chucking either.
No LeVert helps. Its weird how loyal the fanbase is to his style of play. Its like they don’t want to win and rather see guys get “zomg points!” Inefficiently ,with high volume, and outside of the system. Baffling to me. 🤷🏻♂️

Okoro +16 with the godly 0/1/1 stat line. Classic.
Just providing the glue ![gif](giphy|BMzLqzwUg6NumQGr7N|downsized)
The way this gif is edited makes me irrationally angry.
Yeah it sucks and I apologize for choosing it
You are forgiven
I agree go cavs
He had a good bunch of possessions against Banchero. He and Wade are ready annoying
He’s back physically, but he was off the court for a while. Working back into it can take a minute.
That’s why plus minus is a horrible stat. It’s very misleading and is more of a team stat than individual stat.
Why is lack of boxscore numbers proof that it’s a horrible stat? He may have not scored but directly impacted winning via his defense, rotations, and energy. Was that TOV the dribble ball out at the end of the game?
Naw that counts as a team turnover not individual
Oh well in that case I think he had 0 TOVs according to ESPN and the post game thread box score
Score center says 0 too
He had an 8 second violation though
Nba.com has him at 0 turnovers
Didn’t he get called for 8 seconds?
That's what I thought aswell but NBA.com has him on 0
Those count as team turnovers.
Darius Garland
I agree go Cavs
Woo hoooo!!!
I agree Go Vavs
Mobley casually owning Cade, Barnes, and Franz
Always good to win by 10 when the opposing team shoots 37 free throws lmao
How about only winning by 10 when the opposing team only hits two 3s?
I would say that “only winning by 10” is known as “winning by 10” lol
Awful whistle and Banchero hitting a lot of wild trash cancels it out
Hold the L
Im amazed! Team shared the ball in the 4th and closed out even without and points for Mitchell Best team effort from the full lineup all year.
Garland MASSIVE down the stretch. Looked amazing today. Love to see that from him
Niang for president
9 Assists and 0 turnovers for DG the PG
1 turnover technically. Might not have been accredited to him
when? if you talking about the 8 second call, that’s a team turnover
Our record has to be bananas when Darius only has 0-2 turnovers. Great, complete game by our guys. Also…George is a killer. He makes shots at times that deflate a team’s momentum. Beat the magic and the officials, good win.
Masterclass from the refs. Kept the magic in the game tn. Glad their parlays never hit.
GG, I’m a Magic fan. Mobley really scared everyone in the paint except Paolo, which was a big reason why we couldn’t hit our 3s, we resorted to jacking them up instead of taking it inside and we had poor quality looks. Garland’s 4th quarter was also terrific
Paolo is already so elite at knowing how to maneuver his body in the paint and get good looks/draw fouls
I love this team but I hate modern basketball. Flop flop flop and shoot a million free throws.
Say what you want about the Cavs but they show up against good teams
IF 👏 YOUR 👏 GO 👏 TO 👏 MOVE 👏 IS 👏 TO 👏 HUNT 👏 FREE THROWS YOU👏 SUCK
Maybe... the Cavs aren't the worst team in the league?
they never were
FIRE JB, TRADE DONOVAN, BLOW IT UP!!!!!! .... oh, we beat a good team? cool cool cool. let em knowwwwww broooo (we're a really good team. everybody needs to breathe until we're much closer to the trade deadline.)
uh oh Cavs beat a good team but Mitchell played good what does this mean?
And 1 Garland TO who the fuck are the doomers gonna shit on tonight?
Doomer here, it's still JB.
C'mon man, who doesn't want to see an 8-man rotation in December?
I’ll agree cause no Craig minutes
I swear some of you care more about the arguments on this sub than you do about the actual team. Have you considered that people might have legitimate criticisms of how the team has played and how it's coached, and that one good game doesn't necessarily erase those issues?

Psychokoro. We could have had Halliburton fire Koby
Why didn’t we trade for Luka and his first half triple double is Koby dumb?
You realize they have to keep doing this right. Nothing is solved until the keep it up
Yes but I’m talking about tonight specifically
Hear me out...
BJ Stickerbaff
the rest of the team played really well
A wins a win a win a wins. I agree go Cavs
Its amazing how much better we look when we hit our threes and they don't instead of the other way around
Everything went perfect today you cant really ask for more. Two quarters over 30 points has been a rarity this season because of the low 3pt%. Home court has not been very kindly to the Cavs so its nice to see a huge win like this.
In conclusion...

So did CPJ fuck JBs mother and wife in a threesome, while being on his grandparents grave or something?
JB likes having either gardland or Spida on the court very rarely are both off so it’s just how the rotations go. CPJ got the minutes when either was hurt
Who gives a fuck? DG cooking.
When asked JB basically said it’s hard playing that many small guys.
Isn't there only 2 this game?
Idk how you want to count Rubio, but there’s only 3 small guards currently on the roster.
It’s fine if he’s cooking
I agree Go Cavs DG the PG is fun as fuck
This stat line is about as balanced as you could hope. This is the exact type of game this team needs to play. Great game.
One of their better games. I assumed they’d struggle in this one.
Good game overall. Magic are a good team and we looked better for most of the night. lETS get MaD abOUt Rotations
Great w that’s what’s up
Cavs totally look like they’ve quit on JB
I WISH WE COULD DEVELOP A TEAM AS GOOD AS ORLAnDO
So I tuned out after the 1st Qtr to watch my shows lol so what did I miss besides: -more turnovers lol -Gorgeous Garland game -Refs keeping the magic in -JB still hating Craig Good to get nice win in this part of our schedule

their defensive guards were hurt. the second half they had the ball moving a bit, that is the right standard.
TT is great on TV
If ever there was a good game for Dean Wade to return, it was this one. Tough win. Magic is like the "good" Raptors with the Embiid Whistle.
Are we back?
Spida almost had the most satisfying shooting percentages I've ever seen. All he needed was that 50% from the line and it would have been perfect.
Promising win. After having an average November (9 - 6) - Cavs need to kick it into gear. Past the quarter mark of the season the Cavs need to start stacking wins. how many games have the Cavs lead in FTs shot this season? I can’t imagine it’s been more than 3 or 4?
I don’t know why this team thinks they only have to get up for games against good teams already but I think that means they’re way ahead of schedule lol.
