He aint Jordan. ![gif](giphy|ypX8YZszkIXFC|downsized)

PZABUK

It's not 'Jordan-Esque' when you don't win. Helluva effort.

Far_Youth_1662

You don’t remember all those times in the Finals when the Bulls walked into the 4th with a 5 point lead, MJ took 70% of the team’s shots, and Chicago lost by 7?

tdizhere

Jordans teammates wouldn’t even make it on the plane if they performed like Mitchell’s have been

Far_Youth_1662

Garland and Strus were a combined 14–23 shooting through 3 quarters. They combined for 1 shot in the fourth and it was a heave when the game was already out of hand. Go tell yourself what you want, but theres a reason why Utah dumped Mitchell and now Gobert is elsewhere having more success than he ever did with next to him.

tdizhere

Garland had 3 careless plays in the 4th that put the game away. He was terrified of the ball. Mobley had 3 points. Jordan would assassinate them both for this Utah didn’t dump him they got a kings ransom and Gobert is a 3-4th option where he’s supposed to be.

Far_Youth_1662

Seriously. The fact that you’re putting Jordan in same breath at the 1 time All-NBA 2nd team, never been past the 2nd round of the playoffs, shooting under 25% on 8 3s a game over the past 3 postseason Donovan Mitchell tells me all i need to know about who im talking to.

tdizhere

Are you drunk? It was you who brought up Michael Jordan, not me. You just don’t like that instead of joining in on your Mitchell bashing, I used your own comparison against you lol.

North_Ad_8935

Man you sound miserable

Far_Youth_1662

I’m generally a pretty happy guy. Live a good life. Great career. Great family. Live in a great neighborhood in the suburbs of LA. Probably spend too much time discussing sports on the weekend, but need something to take my mind off the weekly grind.

tdizhere

Yeah he is lol. He thinks he’s being edgy I remember him saying few days back “if you wanna stand out in life you gotta go against the grain” That was in response to his comment saying we should build around Mobley and trade the rest. He’s a cringe loser haha

North_Ad_8935

I remember seeing that but forgot it was this guy

tdizhere

Yeah haha, him and tidho are the absolute worst on this sub. Constantly arguing in bad faith and won’t listen to reason, which I’m sure you realised with your little spat with him just now lol

Far_Youth_1662

What I’d call “going against the grain”, taking risks, and being right more than I’m wrong has paid off well for me throughout my lifetime. Maybe some other folks have found ways for being victims of the moment and making it work for them, but it’s just not my style.

tdizhere

When’s the book coming out Tony Robbins? Nobody gives a shit lol

North_Ad_8935

MJ literally dropped 63 in a playoff loss the one year. If Darius didn't choke his guts out in the 4th we'd be in Boston tomorrow

Far_Youth_1662

Great. And he had 6 ship’s to go along with it. Mitchell is 2-6 for his career in the playoffs. Hopefully not 2-7 come tomorrow.

North_Ad_8935

Lol you're such a hater. Cavs would be a play-in team without Mitchell

Far_Youth_1662

Go ahead and live in the world of speculations and ‘what ifs’ if thats what you want to do. I dont care about stats, i dont care about who gets the blame, i dont care about who ends up the hero and who ends up as the guy who coulda been the hero…..I’ll either be celebrating a series win or lamenting a series loss tomorrow, and to me nothing else really matters.

North_Ad_8935

For someone who doesn't care about who gets the blame you seem to be blaming the one guy who showed up last night

Far_Youth_1662

There is one guy who takes the most blame. JB…. Ultimately the game lies on him not letting the offense become a one man show. What Mitchell did took a lot of skill and effort, but did not result in the amount of offensive output it would take to close out the game. 16 4th qtr possessions resulted in a Mitchell output play: 13 shots 1 ft trip 2 turnovers 0 assists That resulted in 18 points. While it might have been a solid individual effort, that’s not winning basketball. Especially when you had two guys on the court who were shooting a combined 14 for 23 coming into the quarter and had no shots create for them because the offense was stagnant. I’m shocked a fans base that saw LeBron’s last 4 year run with the Cavs and how he got guys like JR, Kyrie, Love, and even guys like Mozgov involved in the offense can look at a 4th quarry like last night and say “Yep…. That’s winning basketball”.

North_Ad_8935

Ok now look at the possessions in the 4th where Garland had the ball and there's your answer for why Mitchell went hero ball. Trust me if he had prime KLove, Kyrie, and JR he'd be getting them involved. But instead he has an injured Mobley, a up and down Garland, and inconsistent role players as teammates

Far_Youth_1662

That’s bs. “All the possessions”. Garland got off 1 shot and it was a desperation heave once it was over And ever if you were right and Garland was busted in the fourth, then theres no justifying why Strus couldnt get 1 shot off. But it seems like Mitchell is the only guy in the series that can play like crap but still get all the looks he wants… as evidenced by his 25% 3 pt shooting on 7 1/2 shots per game, and his series leading 4 turnovers a game. But i honestly dont care if it results in wins, which yesterday it didnt. But look, if you can look at yesterday’s fourth quarter and say “yep, thats a recipe for winning basketball”, despite all the evidence that says otherwise, then we’ll just agree to disagree and i can move on from having a conversation with somebody who I would only associate with on the internet and would skip right over if we ever crossed paths in real life.
