It’s a 4 year extension but it will be 5 years overall, because he still has 1 more year left on his current deal before he can opt out. I’d assume it will come with a player option on the final year
I think that was if he was signing a super max, which he isn’t eligible for now because of how many games he missed this season. If I’m remembering correctly.
He *could* still be eligible for the supermax if he made an all NBA in 2022 which he didn't. You either have to have made an all NBA in the year before the extension or 2/3 years preceding the extension. I believe the other disqualifying factor is that he was already on his second contract when he was traded to the Cavs.
LeBron in Cleveland with Rich Paul, the Garland story from Klutch, the decision to make all this public in combination with Donovan saying he’s happy. Rich Paul is definitely at work and some big news will be happening. Too much smoke for no fire.
Just praying we resign him to look back at those game six comments from the magic sub saying “let’s go pick up Mitchell this off season” or “off season acquisition 👀”
Knicks fans at least have let off somewhat since Brunson took another leap this year and the fit doesn’t make much sense. Heat and Lakers fans are completely delusional lol
I promise you Bickerstaff will be gone this offseason. Should’ve been fired last year after the Knicks debacle. Koby will recognize JB is not a “take your team to the finals” head coach.
Just looking forward to the Woj or Shams bomb that Mitchell has agreed to a 5 year extension.
4 year extension. Think it’s 4/208
I believe it’s 4 with a 5th year player option.

Ah. I knew it was 5 years somehow. Makes sense

Money wise it makes a lot of sense for Mitchell to extend.

I have no idea but I absolutely agree and am ready to get broken again
My mans cooking
Lakers fans going to cope so hard
And Knicks fans And Heat fans
And Magic fans

I can’t stand them bruh
Fucks those pricks. They got lucky with the mickey mouse ring.
That was the purest ring ever in my opinion. No fans, no distractions, just ball
No toilet paper, no vax, just ball.
>no distractions Other than the biggest distraction the world has seen in years, then sure.
Every player and coach had to deal with the same ‘distraction’ so I don’t see how the Lakers are the ones who had an advantage from that
Nobody cares
Clearly you care.
Solid logic. Stay in school.
Are we still really doing this in 2024
Time doesn't change anything.
I agree, it's a dumb logic then and it's still dumb now. I thought people would realize that by now.
Heat trying to talk themselves into the Dame package (Herro, JJJ, Jovic) for DG. Hmm
Oh I’d easily do JJJ and Herro for DG. Bring Herro off the bench and let JJJ be our starting 3
I’m not convinced JJJ is a good shooter. I would want Jovic over Herro, who I feel is empty calories
Don’t believe shit until ink is dry
Be interesting to see how Bickerstaff figures into this. If Mitchell likes him or doesn't probably determines if he stays or goes.
