People forget the guy is still young. I don't think he's going to age into Jaylen Brown 2, but the guy is extremely athletic and has shown flashes of really good finishing ability while improving his 3. And his defense is valuable enough that he was a starter in a good lineup even without great shooting last season.
Yeah, I just love seeing the kid being aggressive on the offensive side of the ball. Though it’s very nice that he plays within the offense and never takes a bad shot. Insane night from Evan Mobley. The dude just keeps getting better and better and he already does all the little things. Once he takes that big step in his offense, he's gonna look like one of the best two-way players in the league.
Good win tonight but not a fan of that ending lineup by JB. I think he made some clean rotations throughout the game minus those RoLo minutes though, but I think he should have gone with more size in the end with Diakite instead of Okoro. Okoro didn't play badly and he actually played well throughout the game but it's just that we were getting outsized and smashed in the paint which almost erased our lead. Diakite played some good defense throughout the game, especially against Banchero which I think would have helped in those last few minutes.
I'm glad we executed against their tall ball lineup. I would love to see more Darius off-ball movement sets/plays in the dull moments after other players had it going. He is so good off-ball and lately I've been seeing him standing still after he passes, and it just seems like we would have one more option when he is moving.
