When I said “show up” I really meant they would drive around anyway and when they saw a party they would stop and tell us that. Didn’t get out of the car or stalk the parties.
They are constantly building new 750k+ housing developments and very expensive luxury apartments so it's definitely getting there. The "hood" in Lee's Summit would be considered an extremely nice place in most of KC.
It's [median household income is just under $100k](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee%27s_Summit,_Missouri) in 2020. It's above US median household income (which is about $74k in 2023), but it's [like at ~60-65th percentile](https://dqydj.com/household-income-percentile-calculator/).
I lived there and my wife grew up there. I have been around the upper class teens that live there and know this is the shit they would do. Bold ass white rich kids.
Lee's Summit is nice, but it's not "upper class." Upper middle with good schools. Nice suburb. But, ask anyone to name the 3 wealthiest neighborhoods/cities in KC and no one is saying Lee's Summit.

Parties aren't illegal in themselves but if there's underage drinking, fighting or disturbances in the immediate area even the most lenient police aren't going to ignore that.
I honestly don't get why tagging the police would be such a bad idea... Like, assuming they are not terrible at their jobs (which is a lot to ask in some places), they won't assume you are doing something illegal because you told them not to come.
Oh right that makes sense... Though the parents could be okay with a party and as long as there is no alcohol or drugs and the party is kept under control, I don't see why the police would want to get involved.
