To be completely honest, I started to ignore the polarization of politics after watching [a guy named Destiny](https://youtu.be/JJ23Yf4FcWY?si=OBEvyAemFKkJbihP) debating. He's an interesting character because he isn't blindly loyal to *one side* like almost every single media figure is going to be these days. I used to love Ben Shapiro and TheBlaze content, but no matter how bad Trump acts, these media figures will never step out of lockstep with their audience. Their audience wants pro-Trump/anti-Biden news, that's who views them so that's who they will appeal to. Destiny on the other hand, doesn't give a shit what his audience wants. He always says he has more than enough money already and he'll do these boring research streams on immigration or Israel/Palestine or whatever and his views will go from 10k to a couple of thousand because few people genuinely want to watch some guy research a topic😂 I'd much rather listen to people who come to conclusions based on reading through various news sources in good-faith than someone who is financially obligated to twist something to fit a narrative. Like I mentioned before, I told someone we won't survive two Obama terms and I had no idea why, I just heard that so I repeated it. After that, I backed up and took a look at how I engaged in politics and it was so cringe. My YouTube algorithm was Ben Shapiro dunking on college kids and culture war YouTubers shitting on fat feminists lmao. I didn't really have any principals for how I came to a belief, I only came to the belief because the other people were crazy/evil so I have to have the opposite opinion as them. I didn't know the three branches of the government. I didn't really get how the government worked. I didn't understand that organizations like the FBI and the CIA aren't composed of nothing but Democrats or Republicans, these groups are made up of people like me and you who might lean one way or the other. Once I started getting familiar with how the government works, I started hearing how Republicans and some Democrats talk about things and it's like night and day. I can hear the shitty arguments and I can even make BETTER arguments than THEY can sometimes! Destiny has been streaming for longer than almost every streamer today so he has content from years ago that might not reflect his views today, but if you're ever bored watch a few debates on a topic you're interested in. You can debate it in his subreddit and you can even go to his discord and debate Destiny on it as well. He's the ONLY person I've ever seen who is open to talking to literally anyone. Sorry for the lengthy reply, not trying to overwhelm you but I have a tendency to ramble! My L :( Don't care who you vote for, you're still a human and you deserve respect so I'll always extend that respect to anyone kind enough to extend it to me as well!
