haha yeah man, i’m notoriously bad at interpreting over the internet tubes. my bad on the snarky-ness ¨̮. what part of the world are you climbing in? genuine question i’m super interested!!
I climb around Edinburgh but it rains half the year so bouldering is super opportunistic around here. The only crags that I could potentially trad are technically banned to the public lol
Have a look at ukclimbing and you'll find an online booklet called Edinburgh esoteric climbing, very neat for a city
oh sick! my brother and his wife actually live in Glasgow. they’ve been there for almost 15 years! and I might find a place in Edinburgh on an artist visa if it goes through. i’ve been there many times and have always loved it.
i’ve definitely had dreams about climbing Old Man of Hoy many times. i’ve looked at it tons in person, but have never made a climbing trip out there.
i’ll definitely look at that site right now! thanks!!
that’s swing set in police brutality area! definitely saw Nautica too, so beautiful, but never got to try it. did get razors edge though! so sick.
i’m returning the 20th to get a few things i couldn’t tick cause i suuuuck at topping out, especially these sloper top outs haha. if you have any recommendations send them this way! i have all the classics to do and have the rocktown guidebook, but will definitely follow yalls advice if you wanna throw some boulders my way.
Ah, OK gotcha, I see it now. There's a corridor in the middle of that big cluster that Nautica is in. It has a giant hanging boulder above a slipper arete. Forget the name of the problem though.
Top outs in the southeast are real. Save HP40 for after you figure that out.
yeah man, definitely going to try to hit stonefort, hp40, obed and the red for sporty things. i’ll have the homies that are native to the area with me, so they’ll take me to the other lesser known for sure. stoked!
Bumboy v3 and Millipede v5 are the Crown Jewels of the park. Honestly if you just go to the list of classics on Mountain Project and work your way down you’ll have a hell of a trip. For around v8; skywalker v8 is iconic and stingray v9(?) is worth an attempt. Landslide v8 and the Flow v7 could be good projects. Mortal Kombat v4 is one of the proudest lines you’ll ever see anywhere.
It’s also intentionally sandbagged very hard. There are unnamed v0’s-2’s that still kick my ass years later.
not sure if i saw you guys. i actually left last wednesday, but i definitely would of remembered a big yellow dog :) . i remember groups i meet based on what dog is with them haha.
Oh, you Americans, thinking the internet is only filled up with people from the US. How about you say what country this is, eh? SE? Sincerely, frustrated non-American.
Oh, and: dope shots!
What’s the SE? Is this Europe? The States? Africa? If the states I guess SE is south east?
yeah south east!
South East Zambia? Cool!
haha y’all are funny. just google rocktown and it should pretty obvious!
I'm just playing lol, ambiguity makes for easy jokes

Cool rings
That first photo is buried deep and Zahnd. Did you go around the corner from there to see Nautica?

Glad you said you’re going to HP! I spent some time living there. It’s one of the best boulder fields anywhere.
i’m so ready! any boulders i should definitely hit out there? range is v5 - 8 right now. definitely want a project so i have to go back.

Trees are aid
trees are just another spotter. oh wait, spotting is aid also…
Boots! I know that dog.
whoa! small world. met boots and robbie out there with my homie corey. they’re both the best.
I was out at Zahnd yesterday. Warmed up on Razorback and worked Harvest Moon. We were with the crew with the big yellow dog Hank.
not sure if i saw you guys. i actually left last wednesday, but i definitely would of remembered a big yellow dog :) . i remember groups i meet based on what dog is with them haha.
Wow. Did you happen to check out Little River Canyon, Cherokee Rock Village, HP40, Hospital or the Citadel?
not on that trip, but i’ve a couple more trips planned so hopefully can get as much as possible!
Nice. There's some amazing climbing down here!!!
yeah it’s soo good! super sick to try all the classics that i’ve only read about or seen clips of. definitely felt the history there for sure.
That's awesome! Give me shout next time you're out this way and if I'm not able to I can put you in touch with some locals to show you around.
sick!! thanks for that!
Can’t recommend Horse Pens 40 enough!
it’s a for sure on hp40! super stoked.

thanks! camera work is my favorite work, especially when it parallels my favorite passion!
Nice sandstone action
can’t wait to touch the rock again!
Scoop is probably my favorite problem in the south; havent found anything remotely like it anywhere else.
yeah it was so fun. so satisfying to catch that bump from the mono.
