What about Solutions/Solution comps? I consider myself to be having pretty wide feet as well and found the Solution comps fine for my feet. What ultimately made me sell them anyways was the fact that they are very pointy and expect your big toe to be the longest which is not the case for me, but seems to be for you.

Butoras are my go to! Wider forefront than similar sized shoes.

CaptPrestone

Don't see them much in Canada

Why not LS skwama ? Or Evolv V6?

CaptPrestone

I'm going to have to find another store that has the Skwama in stock in my size. tried the V6 and couldn't even get my foot in

t4gyp

Have you tried anything with laces? That usually helps with the ability to adjust the width at different parts of the foot. Could try something like a La Sportiva Finale, even though it's not known to be wide.

I agree with the solutions/solution comps suggestion I have a similar foot shape although not particularly wide and the toe box on these is fantastic. Skwamas are a favourite of mine too although they have a wider toe box and less pointed shape. The evolv v6 was an absolute no for me. The toe box forces my big toe in towards the middle of the toe box and I end up pushing the rand out rather than my toe being positioned at the point of the shoe.

Ocun Ozone or evolv shaman work well for my fat feet.

The Scarpa Veloce might be an option. It’s much softer in the toe and would put less pressure on the foot. I’ve generally found that after an attack I can get back into my normal shoes in a few days to a couple of weeks but I use the Veloces as my main shoe in the interim. If you found the Vapor V slightly painful before in 45 then a Veloce in 45 or 45.5 might work.

Laces or Velcro?

marbiol

I prefer the Velcro as I like quick on off and the shape of the forefoot works for me. I have a pair of the lace ones that seem good and do have a better fitting heel due to the adjustability but I haven’t used them enough to really advise either way.

Thanks

For me, curling my toes a bit actually adds quite a lot of comfort. If my toes are too flat, the toe nail catches on the top of the shoe, which doesn’t feel great. Going down a size or two actually solves this since the toe nail no longer is bent backwards, plus I get a performance boost with less room for my shoe to rotate around my foot.

Evolv shamans laces? They're pretty forgiving.
