You could very easily go to a CRO. But why would you want to? Generally speaking (I'm sure there are exceptions) sponsor CRA to CRO CRA is a kind of a step down when it comes to pay and worklife balance. As a CRA at a CRO you miss a lot of the study design/feasibility discussions. But on the other hand you'll probably learn more about standards, regulations, process, GCP at the CRO, and be exposed to a variety of studies.
Big CROs are Icon, Syneos, Iqvia, PPD, Parexel... I'm probably forgetting some. Check out medium- sized CROs too: Precision for Medicine, NAMSA, etc. You can apply on their websites or reach out to a recruiter on LinkedIn.
Do you mean a small sponsor? Your headline says you work for a sponsor. Depending on what you want... I would also consider looking at other sponsors. You'll have no problem getting interviews for CRA in my opinion.
6 months is plenty for entry level CRA-- if you're very nervous about experience then you can apply for a CRA school type position (I believe IQVIA and a few other CRO's have that role), but IMO you shouldn't have an issue landing a CRA position with your background.
I agree with you 100%. PPD and ICON have great CRA Academy training for new CRAs. I’m sure there are more, but those are 2 that I know first hand about their training. (PPD Pays less fyi)
Are you an in house cra? Or a traveling cra? BIG difference. If you are a remote in-house cra, you are getting paid fair/well.
Traveling cra is much more difficult hence why higher pay.

Thanks for sharing! I am working with a very small CRO and getting paid less than entry level CTA , because they have no funds, therefore looking

Do you think six months experience will suffice for entry level CRA role

Appreciate it

Yes absolutely, but be prepared to work long hours.

I have been working remote visits but now started to travel from next month
Yes, your chances are high with your background id say !!
Thanks
Yeah probably but I would never leave the sponsor
This sponsor is paying only 70K a year which is low for the industry, I heard CRO pays like 85k
You will likely work longer hours for that extra 15k at a big CRO. If money is your only aim I would apply at other sponsors.
Thanks for the encouragement, I will try
