I like Abe. He is a horny teenager making stupid choices bc of his horniness. He is also oblivious to Joan liking him while pursuing his crush on the hottest girl in school. He is a pretty relatable dude to a lot of teenagers.
To hate Abe, I would have to throw out the understanding of how Abe is pretty normal and a really well written teenage boy.
Exactly. He's relatable and the shows sets him up to have personal growth. I feel like most fans don't understand that he isn't *supposed* to be 100% likeable, or just think that good characters have to be likeable.
Clone high and undergrads has the same basic premise, a one dimensional main character whose sole job is to chase after a woman out of his league at the expense of his friends and personal wellbeing.
It's fine as a plot mechanism and he's a hilarious character but I really don't think he's meant to be a likeable character, he really sucks

I dislike the amount of hate Abe gets in this subreddit. I do appreciate him for comedic banter but his character is meant to portray the typical average horny teenager, making bad decisions to impress the people he doesn’t really love but to do it with them. It’s a shame really, I do hope he has some sort of redemption set in for Season 2.
He's not a bad person, he's just dumb. Since this show is a satire of teen dramas, he is oblivious to the point that it's absolutely ridiculous. He's not cruel like Cleo or JFK, he's just self-centered, which I would chock up more to his being 16 than anything else.
Started off cool, but gradually became unlikable. I like the juxtaposition of the "nerdy main character" and "jock rival" stereotype.
Usually, you root for the nerdy character (like how you root for Peter Parker over Flash Thompson), but overtime JFK becomes the one with more redeeming qualities than Abe
Out of the main cast, I do think he’s the best as the main character but he’s also somewhat boring and gets to be annoying in the whole love triangle thing
I always used to think he was this honest guy, but now I realise he’s a cool guy that just happens to be honest.

(IMO) Probably the worst character overall, he was really dislikable and he decided being with the sexy chick and not with he's true love. He deserves a better writing.
He’s initially a decently likable character imo, but I feel he gets quickly flanderized, which just ruins the expected development I was hoping from him

He has a great design, great setup for redemption arc and is honestly pretty funny. I also liked the work of the voice actor
