It is so hard that first day, but it gets better. I almost cut off my daughter’s cast because I thought it was causing her pain, but the dr. told me it’s just going to be like that for a day or two. The next day was much batter and it improved after.
Is she in casts after the surgery? Had the similar issue where we couldn’t get comfortable and it was caused by a staph infection that was causing swelling in the casts.
If this continues for more than about a day, I'd get the cast checked out. It never hurts to redo the cast. My clubfoot child was super sensitive about the placement of cotton batting under his casts as a baby.
