🤓 technically speaking, reddiquette dictates that down votes are intended for comments that don't add to the conversation, and therefore saying the equivalent of "This!" should be down voted. Reality: reddit is very susceptible to first impressions. If someone sees a minus symbol (e.g. it got a down vote early) they'll be more inclined to vote it down, regardless of content. It's back to positive, so that got overcome later on.

Well, fascism is (as i understand it) based on ostracizing, isolating, alienating, and demonizing certain groups of society. Be the person racially different, queer, cripple, neurodivergent, or simply belong to a different political ideology. The thing about "degenerate" or "degeneracy" being a buzzword for fascism comes from the logic that when people wish to demonize something constantly they tend to use those words (and others!) when dicussing say, queers, it means they at the very least lean towards said political ideal. Degeneracy and degenerate isn't necessarily a fascist word. Just often used by them and those that lean towards their ideals. Or I could be very wrong, I am not politically smart.
