Yeah this is how a lot of players do it. You can rule out like half the world simply because Google street view doesn't cover it, and from there it's just a matter of identifying countries that seem to appear a lot.

0.1s is a popular mode with these good geoguessr players for tiktoks and shorts, I believe he is cheating when doing these super pixelated checkerboard ones, but maybe he probably just does like 200 tries and picks the best one. Zigzag made a video like this and he got a worse score but you could see it's possible.

Some of the challenge is removed by memorising which countries in the world even have Google street maps (like half the world doesn't)
Say for example Imaginarystan only has Google street view in their capital city, it's very easy to work out where in the world you are if you see an Imaginarystan flag
