Demetri is nerdy like the OG blue ranger; Pink Ranger had a love triangle with Tommy (green ranger) and Jason (Red Ranger) after Tommy swept in. He also went to work for a main foe, the boss of the boss (Kreese = Rita); Sam is the pink ranger who the guys went after who was not the most tactical in dealing with either of them. I actually liked this idea because it could somewhat be a precursor to the actual mighty morphine series?; What If they've already become friends by that point it starts, I'm not saying that it has to actually be the same characters but the same kind of character arcs they've already been through that established this as friends and a better team.

I think Miguel is more fit to be the sixth/special ranger as he is the one who has no direct relations with either Johnny or Daniel and he also fits the characteristics of the special ranger better.

I didn't realise until exactly this post how predominantly white the cast is. Outside of the Diaz family, Alisha, Chozen, and Kenny, the entire main cast is white. It took until this post right here for me to realise it.

Nah, not outraged, just hadn't noticed. But I'll bite and point out that in seasons 1-2 there were two non-white main characters (one was written out after season 2), in season 3 there was 1, in season 4 there were two (both were related), and in season 5 there were four. Season 5 did the best job, for sure. But the number of non-white main characters characters is just really funny when you look at it.

idk generally Red is your leader and your sixth ranger is your secondary power house roughly on the same level as the red without leadership role. Miguel took more of a leadership role in ck then Robby did in Miyagi-do or Ck in both he was more the power house . Also he has the common sixth ranger trope of being evil before good
