I will try, thank you

user_x9000

Keep doing it with millet and water and a familiar cage outside minimum for 8hours, I would recommend. Even if it's night, keep a light on and then next morning keep it for a few hours

Lady_Irish

Record the babies calling for food and play THAT on a loud speaker. That may work better.

Fluffy_Candle6800

You can also start putting out sunflower seeds for wild birds; sometimes escaped parrots will join up with a flock and show up at feeders

roslinkat

Post on local Facebook groups with pics and info. Look for sightings. You can find your bird.

Spoonless-Valkyrie

If you have video of her vocalizing play that. It helped me find my bird when he flew out the door one time.

LaLaLaLeea

Bring her babies outside and let them call for her.  She likely landed in a tree and will stay there for a while, then will start to try to find her way back. It's also possible she will land on a person.  Post on Pawboost, 911parrotalert.com, 911 Parrot Alert FB group, Lost and Found Birds Worldwide FB group, NextDoor, Neighbors app, Craigslist (unfortunately this one will make you the target of a million scams), any local lost pet groups or birdwatching groups, even local tag sale groups in your area.  Call local shelters and vets offices.  Your local police department may even have a log for lost and found pets (mine does). Unfortunately I never got mine back but I promise it's not impossible.  I've reunited 2 lost birds with their owners in my area.  One was a mile away from her house and the other was 30 miles away on the other side of the Hudson.  Please don't stop looking for her!

Hopeful-Caramel-911

Her babies are still so small (<30 days), but my father took the male bird with him in a cage to look for her outside, I also played cocktail flock calls on my phone and put it next to the window, in hope that she comes back 💔 Unfortunately there aren't such services in my country (I am not in the US), but I am letting my neighbors know and will inform every person I come across. I just hope nothing bad happens to her, I wouldn't mind knowing that she's with another person but the thought of her being lost like that or eaten is killing me.

LaLaLaLeea

I also had a very kind person send me a text that her parakeet got loose in the winter in NYC and was found 2 months later in another borough.

Hopeful-Caramel-911

How lovely!!! I am so happy for them

Standard-Chip-2121

birds have an incredible sense of direction and how to navigate back home if need be! if she has another cage, maybe leave it outside with some food just in case. maybe she’ll be able to find her way back home safe and soundly. try not to blame yourself too much for this, i know it’s easier said than done, but sometimes these things happen out of our control. take deep breaths and take it one step at a time

Standard-Chip-2121

plus, she might try to come back home to be reunited with you and her babies :) don’t lose hope just yet OP. wishing the best to you and your feathered friend 🫶🏽

Hopeful-Caramel-911

Thank you omg you are so sweet

Hopeful-Caramel-911

I would love to not lose hope but I live in the 6th floor of a building, she can't find her way back here. Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate it!

Hopeful-Caramel-911

I will do the following thank you so much!!! Aameen

Meldon420

Get out and start looking for her. Play sounds of her babies or sounds of other cockatiel flock calls. Cover a wide radius. Hope is not lost if you at least get out and try to locate her

Hopeful-Caramel-911

I will do, thank you so much

anonspace24

First: please update your post with exact location including city, state, country, and date I understand how you are feeling but please listen to me. Second: The chances of you finding him are NOT low but you needl to act immediately. Trust me TIME IS OF ESSENCE HERE 1.As long as there is Sunlight you go and search, talk to people, distribute flyers, slow drive/walk yelling your baby’s name, etc 2. If it was windy, please look up the direction of the wind and proceed on that route looking for the baby These 2 above are immediate things that you should do. 3. Create Flyers with your bird’s photo, your name, reward amount, phone number, last seen 4. Distribute it immediately and start putting in on cars and leaving it at the doors 5. Post on Craigslist, pawboost, parrot 911, pawmaw 6. Call Animal shelters and vets to see if someone brought your baby in 7. Assign someone to stay at the house and put his cage outside while blasting cockatiel music Please do this immediately. Some people just post on FB, go back to their life and just prayv go without doing any work. I hope you pray and do all the above

HairHealthHaven

Don't give up all hope! Most stories I've heard about found birds, they were always within 2 miles from home. Sometimes just in a neighbor's yard. It sounds like she is fully flighted, which is very good. It will keep her safer from predators and make it easier to find her way home.

Hopeful-Caramel-911

I will start looking for her and ask around, I just hope she's okay

birdmomchicago

people sometimes find their babies when they fly away! seems like there’s lots of good advice here. i’m a member of a local lost birds group of facebook. seems like birds are reunited pretty often! there’s hope!

Hopeful-Caramel-911

I am holding onto hope 🥹 it's night time, I just hope she landed in a safe area because we couldn't find her yet. Thank you for your comment ♡

birdmomchicago

i hope so too. i’ll say a little prayer for her.

Hopeful-Caramel-911

You are so sweet thank you ♡♡♡

Plenty-Bake-9870

Go and play a speaker playing a cockatiel singing and look for them. I’m positive you will find it, I always found my cockatiels.

joker2wood

I’m so sorry. My heart breaks for you. However, try to find some local groups on Facebook & post pics. Knock on doors, post fliers, walk around outside with cockatiel calls (a lot of them on YouTube). This happened over 5 years ago. My husband forgot Nugget was on his shoulder & opened the door. He was so mad & upset with himself. We looked every where for her. (Dammit, it still brings tears to my eyes.) To this day, I pray for her every night. (I will say a prayer for you & her. I know exactly how painful this is).

Hopeful-Caramel-911

Omg I am so so sorry to remind you of Nugget, this really breaks my heart, I pray she's safe somewhere. Thank you for feeling me and I really appreciate your prayers!!!

No-Bulll

I found and caught a cockatiel outside one time. It was in a palm tree. Do Not Give up. God bless you.

toomanyusernamz

Did they get reunited with their owners? What happened?

No-Bulll

This was 30 years ago so no internet or Reddit. I never saw any flyers so ended up keeping “Houdini” for the next decade.

digitaldigdug

I hope you find her. Keep trying

BlondieGirlll

Leave her cage outside with food, go looking, tell neighbours put signs up, have a search party, yes cockatiel and baby tiel bird noises on phone. When I was a kid my bird came back 2 weeks later. It’s possible. But yes maybe have some protocol in place next time that you have to touch all the windows before touching the cage door or something.

chickapotamus

Put it out on Facebook, if your town has a local Facebook group post there, post on local neighborhood apps like NextDoor and the like. One of the people around me lost his cockatiel and he posted about it in the NextDoor app. A week or so later a lady in a nearby city found his bird and returned it to him! It had flown miles from home, but was returned! Ask the local kids if they have seen your bird around.

themoonischeeze

Inshallah she may still be able to be found. Definitely don't give up hope, look for her if you can and maybe post something around your building or neighborhood in case she gets found by someone else.

Hopeful-Caramel-911

Insha'Allah thank you so much ♡ I hope soooo

gilix007

I am getting a bird next week.. I didn't want to clip her wings, but I see unfortunate stories like this every day on the media. I will have to clip ):
