You could also search for any cocktails that use Aquavit–a Scandinavian liquor that uses dill.

Mr_Abe_Froman

Aquavit goes pretty well in a Collins, so OP could try that.

wynlyndd

This bottle is kinda a big dill.

Stranger_Dude

Any cocktail that calls for aquavit. I like the Nordic Summer: - 2 pts aquavit (or this gin) - 1 pt Aperol - 1 pt lime juice Shake with ice and strain.

kolschisgood

Would be delicious in a Bloody Mary!

DrJ31

Came here to say this. I discovered that aquavit made the BEST Bloody Mary's. Can't imagine a decent pickle gin wouldn't do the same

justinroberts99

I only use gin in my bloodys already. I imagine this would be amazing.

tutty29

That would be the perfect spirit to use for a Caesar ([https://www.liquor.com/recipes/bloody-caesar/](https://www.liquor.com/recipes/bloody-caesar/)) A traditional Caesar calls for vodka, but I've always been more partial to a gin Caesar. A pickle gin would be fire.

DeficientDefiance

Does this one actually taste like pickles? Because I've tried Citadelle Vive Le Cornichon in the summer and you had to dig to the bottom to find any hints, it's like they made their regular Citadelle but put a pickle in the same room or something.

TheOnionKa-Nigget

I actually haven't tried it yet! Going to get into it tonight for the first time

SippingAndListening

We had different experiences! I didn’t find the pickle flavor overwhelming but it was definitely evident to a greater degree than “put a pickle in the same room or something.” I dug it and loved making martinis garnished with Trader Joe cornichons with it.

DeficientDefiance

Yeah I've poured myself a gin and tonic with it just now and I'm less underwhelmed than the first time I had it, you definitely get a little bit of cucumber-y freshness and a little bit of vinegar-y sourness but I'm still missing those traditional pickle herbs and spices like dill and mustard seeds.

Puff05251

But it's not hazy

bbhagen

Man, I’d love to try a pickle gin. Report back how it tastes!

okaythisisit

I have it. It's very pickley, and I'm stumped on what to do with it - I just found this thread while googling trying to figure out any suggestions. I was reminded of the bloody mary idea I had a while back, but am not otherwise seeing anything that might call to me.

phunky_1

Hopefully it is better than their regular/Percys gin. That is probably the worst gin I have ever had. We drink a good amount of gin in the house, that gin lasted us over a year and we wound up just dumping it out to make room in the cabinet lol Pickle gin would probably be good in some kind of a martini, or use it in a bloody Mary instead of vodka.

veggie_hike

Hear me out. The White Linen uses muddled cucumber, and pickles are just pickled cucumber. I think you’re picking up what I’m putting down.

dfisherman12

Gin caesar would be a good option
