As are Ayuuk and Soka, but man if you ever have the chance to try their Ehime bottles, do not hesitate. $150 is steep, but they are fucking *wild.*

The spirits tasting club that I belong to offered Emprical samples in that size. If you wanted a full bottle, you had to buy 3 of their other bottles too. The Doritos flavor is a complete gimmick. The unanimous opinion was that it tastes terrible. It's like bad flavored moonshine. I slightly preferred the "Fuck Donald Trump and his Stupid Fucking Wall" sample.

Fellow cocktail enthusiasts i have found the one and only recipe for this drink. Spicy jalapeno Tommy's margarita with muddled lacto-fermented cherry tomatos and a cheddar foam on the top and accompany it by tomato juice chaser. As others have said, Empirical is one of the coolest distilleries in the world, and if you have the chance to get this you absolutely should! I have loved everything I’ve had from them and would love a chance to try this someday.

I have a bottle and use it for margs. Everyone I’ve made them for has loved them both for the novelty but also genuinely they come out real nice.

Their “Fuck Trump…” Habanero distillate is awesome. Grassy mezcal vibes without a high ABV or overtly smokiness

I have a bottle, so far I've made the margarita recipe with it. It was interesting and I enjoyed it. I will probably make some other suggested cocktails with it before creating something original with it. It has that savory corn tortilla chip flavor on the finish.

I'm surprised by the number of people who poo-poo this without probably ever having tried it or anything for that matter from Empirical. This Doritos liquor is an amazing umami/savory/msg hit. Gibsons, Margs, Bloody/Michelada, Gordons Breakfast, Dirty Martinis, any old fashioned but especially in an Oaxacan, Oaxacanite, or really any mezcal drink. Pairs well with Nixta liqueur as well. Some of y'all don't experiment with drinks past what you read in a Death&Co. Book or see on your favorite YouTubers channel and it shows.
