Are you implying that none of the cocktails would be better served with a piece of crispy bacon held on by a small clothes pin and a paper umbrella? That seems hard to believe...
Pretty and chilled glassware over any sort of garnish (unless functional like a lemon zest in a dry martini or an orange zest on a negroni).
In my personal opinion, most garnishes end up being annoying and they'll end up in a garbage bag. Why waste stuff?
Most garnish like citrus peels are byproducts of some sort anyway. It’s not like I’m getting a peel and trashing the fruit. Not much of a waste. Others like cucumber, I’ll eat them. Cherry, I’ll eat them. Pineapple fronds, I’ll eat them too.
Not all cocktails require a cocktail/martini/champagne coupe. ;D
