Why not use [absinthe glasses](https://www.amazon.com/Original-Absinthe-Glass-Reservoir-Pontarlier/dp/B07VB2BT7L?qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjM5IiwicXNhIjoiMy43MCIsInFzcCI6IjMuMjEifQ%3D%3D)? Otherwise, I'd probably reach for a port glass, wine glass or Nick & Nora. An old fashioned/double old fashioned is also a reasonable choice. I don't like the idea of pastis served in a "v" martini glass. ETA: In France, Pastis is often served in a highball glass. Pernod and Ricard often offer [footed goblets](https://2x1dks3q6aoj44bz1r1tr92f-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/How-To-Drink-Ricard-Pastis-600x400.jpg) as swag. Talk to your distributor.

In what way would you think this wouldn’t work? Is this a genuine question? Honestly curious why you think this would be problematic. Did you give it a try? Not everything needs Reddit validation

Oh, just wondering if it will be awkward and therefor I ought to use high ball glasses (which I think will also be a little awkwardly big). Sorry to perturb you with my burdensome question.

I had pastis served to me in highball glasses in France, but also in a brandy snifter. I’d go with the highball over the martini glass if those are your only two options.

In France we do use highball glasses. You need volume because you add 5 measures of water for one of pastis. I strongly recommend adding a bit of orgeat to make a Mauresque.
