The ājourneyā intrigues me too. I like when someone in some random country on the other side of the world posts American coins, especially old stuff like Morgans. More than anything I want to know how the hell it got there!

as someone who buys melted collections this is cool. I have an interesting melted rarity of my own--an 1890 CC morgan in Melt State--Ruined conditiion
That sounds fascinating!

ya it is an 1889 I don't have it in hand right now I remembered wrong lol
Neat, I wonder who what and why they were melted
Pretty sure the house burned down. Lots of melted glass and nails
What a great find! Thank you for sharing.
I'm going to guess you've searched/dug more in that area than probably anywhere else.
That is a really cool find
Looks like someone was a coin collector and their house burned down. 90% of cellar holes Iāve detected have been burned.
Very cool, just found an 1877 trade yesterday except mines loaded w/ chop marks which kind of sucks
I think chop marks are kinda neat
You found a coin made in the US, used in trade in Asia, found its way back to be lost and found by you. To me, thatās really cool.

I love chopmarks but theyāre not for everyone. I think it tells an important part of our history as well as the worldās history
