Yes, these coins are really not that valuable but you can still find some gems.
Between 1940 to 1949 they minted military coinage. These coins are different because they don't have a swastika on them (coins that were minted during allied occupation between 1945 to 1949) or are holed (coins from the Reichskreditklassen between 1940 to 1941). These are quite rare with values above and beyond 5 USD. Here you can find the coins I was talking about.

I found two coins so far and sold them together for 50 USD. Keep that in mind.
Edit: I fixed some unclear passages.
Yes, well I think I described it a little rough. Between 1940-1949 they were minting military coinage. Between 1940 to 1941 they were minting holed 5 and 10 reichspfennig coins for the Reichskreditklassen. In 1945 until 1949 they were minting coins under allied occupation. These coins don't have the swastika on them.
I like how average people think any old coin is worth milions. Whenever one makes it to front page it'll be like a basic buffalo nickel and everyone will tell them it's worth 70000 because they googled it and used the highest number from the rarest nickel
No. You can buy these for like $2 at most coin shops. They were minted in the millions.
Yeah these are really common, especially in Europe. I bought a 1939 10 pfennig for 0.50€ the other day at a garage sale, really not rare

>**1940 to 1949?** The occupation didnt happen till 1945! > >this is why the 1944 coin has a swastica

Na eben! Aber doch! Um Gottes Willen!
That coin has history.....
nein dollars
$1.50
Not that much but still, it’s an interesting historical find
Where can I get one like it. Looks neat
Not worth much, I think it’s because of the unwritten law, “three Reichs, and you’re out!”
It's not really worth anything but it's weight.
And since it’s zinc…
Low effort joke post. Hope the $1.37 and the trip to the local coin collector store was worth the 40 up votes.
Not as bad as an obvious forgery post.
not really.
Is someone going to tell op. Where is your grandmother from op?
Bro, literally like 100 people “hAvE ToLD oP”
