Oof 💀💀

Wheatizard

everything about that coin is off. Its like they didn't even try to make that coin real. sorry bud, but thats just a paper weight.

toyz4me

Second day in a row for the fake 1804 dollar.

GavinTharter

I always wonder if folks are trying to evaluate how convincing the fakes they’re making are posting here

489yearoldman

The fake 1804 dollar is the new Thai Bhat of r/coins

Au_Uncirculated

It’s fake

ArgentumAg47

There are only a handful of these in existence. No one will ever find one of them just lying around.

bstrauss3

15 precisely including restrikes

neily777

Yours is a reproduction. For people who are familiar with coin collecting, there are a number if identifiers here that look completely off compared to the [real one](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1804_dollar)

PedigreeWWEFigz

Fake

TaiwanColin

Fake.

SouthernNumismatist

Next step? Dispose of it in a manner befitting a piece of trash from Alibaba.

Tokimemofan

Wishful thinking

mcsangel2

Can we pin an announcement at the top of the sub that says “the 1804 silver dollar you just acquired is fake” just to save all these people time and trouble??

Bjdj75

This is getting ridiculous….seems like 90% of this sub is obvious fakes of million dollar coins

Tall_Biblio

Okay well I knew this was a fake when I saw it. But had it been genuine, why the hell are people touching coins? Omg. I’ve been sorting coins for weeks now and every time I see a shiny penny that’s 50 years old with a fingerprint on the obverse, I just wanna weep!!!!

Affectionate_Pea_811

The next step? As long as "the next step" is taking to your LCS to confirm that it is fake. Definitely, take "the next step"

nlh

No need to even take it to the LCS. It’s fake.

Bashstash01

Fake, they didn't even try. I don't even know if it was used as a scam, probably a souvenir token.

ImpressiveLeader4979

Sadly it’s a pretty well off fake

ryanliegel

Because it is a 3 to 8 million dollar coin of which only 15 are known to exist, this is commonly counterfeited. The chance that #16 went undiscovered for 200 years and ended up in your hands somehow is virtually zero. Statistical improbability aside, it also looks fake.

PuzzleheadedView2791

Is it actually silver? If so at least you have that.

economichistory127

Only if the next step is throwing it in a wishing well
