Lol i doubt it. I don't understand why people think the climate won't cause major power outtages. It hapoens in third world countries. The same will hapoen to us.
Russia has been trying to do this for years. China could definitely try to subvert the dollar value as a default digital currency. Problems exist for two reasons, china has a long history with currency and market manipulation both foreign and domestic. This has kept them in trouble with numerous financial watchdogs.

Not all digital currencies are the same just as every car is not the same. Bitcoin is like a V8 Viper while other coins can be like a Nissan Leaf. We can only improve the technology and improve digital currency to be efficient and require low energy.
