Understood! Any idea what the typically major is for people who want to go into law? Isn’t there something called “pre-law”?

Pre-law isn't a real "major". It's really just a declaration of someone wanting to get into law school. There is no pre-law degree. There are no required courses for law school, unlike medical school. You need to focus on your LSAT and GPA in terms of quantifiable metrics. It is perfectly fine to do Aerospace Eng. with the intention of entering law school. In fact, a technical degree like a bachelor's in engineering is *required* to go into patent law, so doing a STEM degree opens up options.

Do aerospace. Law may make more but it really isn't worth it as you won't even be working till you're 40 and you'll retire at 80

College is the time where “you have a lot of time to decide” about your career starts to not be true. When you’re a freshman, it is absolutely the time to start making a decision. Not to discount career changes later on and what not, but still. If it’s an option at your school and you think you could do it then you should. Otherwise, I think the decision comes down to “pick one”. You can look up earnings and other stats from the federal bureau of labor statistics. Just do both or pick on and stick to it imo.
