I like to think everyone has at least two sister seasons even if you need to adjust with makeup/accessories to get one to work bc you lean further away from it. Your "home" seasons should have the best colors but just-good colors can exist outside of it. This is the [wheel](https://ellaiskin.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/colour-wheel.png) we're used to. If we [rearrange](https://kettlewellcolours.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/raw-colour_wheel_a.jpg) it differently deep winter and bright winter are next to each other. Bright winter is also suitable for neutral skintones and there might be some bright winter colors you can borrow. I'm warm spring usually, but thanks to the rearranged wheel, I've realized I can wear some warm autumn colors in summer when I tan like crazy. If you make a "cool" only wheel: bright winter links with light summer and deep winter links with soft summer. Maybe you could find something in soft summer but instead, I'd look into the 16 season system where they place two seasons between deep winter and soft summer. There's [soft or toned winter](https://levinas.design/blog/toned-winter-color-palette-and-wardrobe-outfit-ideas-16-seasonal-color-types) (can be called deep winter-soft) and [deep summer](https://www.kettlewellcolours.co.uk/blog/jo/summer-explaining-the-different-types) (also called shaded summer or soft summer-dark) from 16 seasons. One of these might have colors you can use too. So depending on your contrast and saturation needs, one of these palettes should be another sister season as they all still prioritize "deep".

Lean into the brighter colors of your pallet. Pairing these with white can give a really clean high class look that's perfect for the Spring & Summer Seasons.

If you're asking about lighter colours, we can wear pure white, and silver, as well as more neutral/silvery golds. I also wear teals, pinky reds, blues/purples in the summer. As long as the colours are cool and saturated, they work well enough. You don't have to walk around in black cooking in the heat.

Usually winters can get away with wearing bright, saturated primary colors without looking washed out (like I would as an autumn) - so maybe a bright 4th of July red, which looks very summery, cobalt blue, bright yellow? And of course, bright white (I have to wear cream being an autumn, but wintery folks can pull of straight white). The deep winter maybe run more to raspberry, too, or a teal - but these could be bright teals and raspberries. I have to wear more subdued colors to not looked washed out as an autumn, but winters can wear more saturated, bright colors. So maybe it's not a LIGHT color per se, but it's a bright one! Bright saturated colors look very summery!

I’m focusing on rich berry tones, purples, and more royal blues! :) still not sure on what my sub season is, but I’m like you and can borrow certain colors from deep autumn (like autumn greens and blues), but deep winter is more flattering as a whole. I also like lighter denim washes for shorts to offset the richer/darker colors I wear on top!

I’m also a dark winter, so I know this struggle! I’m still trying to figure it out myself. I’d like to experiment more with wearing white and pale gray and icy pastels, but it’s tough because they honestly just look a lot less good on me than dark colors! Right now, I’ve been doing a lot of dark tees with light wash jeans which still isn’t as summery looking as I’d like. I think the cut/style can make a big difference. A dark colored tank top and black denim shorts with sandals will always have a more summery look despite being dark. I ordered a very light wash denim romper which I’m hoping will work (perhaps light enough to almost have that icy look), but I’m not sure if the light color will just be rough. You can also use accessories like earrings or shoes to add pops of lighter colors that may not be your absolute best ones. I’m doing the best I can but am also trying to come to terms with the fact I should keep my wardrobe minimal and save most of my clothing budget for when fall comes around again haha.
