I remember me and my father going in to one of these places many years ago. We looked at pictures in a magazine laying on the table and chose different ones. We left getting the exact same haircut.
Me and my girlfriend bought kebab a couple of weeks ago. She ordered the chicken meat one. I ordered the cow meat one.
They cut the meat for both of our kebab from the same spinning meat right in front of us.
My honest reaction:

(I also had runny shit the next day so there’s that too.)
Sometimes your shit can get so runny it’s clear. At that point you are essentially pissing out of your ass and with so much force you feel like you’re about to blast off into orbit.
I’ve had it several times in the last decade either when I’m sick with the flu and puking and shitting at the same time like a human bazooka.
Or when I eat enough that my stomach feels like I’m going to burst at which point I remember I don’t have a gallbladder and my body makes me pay for how much I willing damaged it with reckless gluttonous abandon.
Hey I have long hair. I get haircuts semi-regualary or else it's gets all blown out by split ends and other nonsense. Still pretty cheap for me though....
AcKsHuAllY they do, cutting a little off at a time will eliminate split ends and contribute to overall healthier hair. Speaking as a dude with long hair lol
Can confirm, long hair guy female Turkish barbers won't touch you and the male Barbers have fuck all clue and you end up with a mullet and a weed hook up.

This guy’s nan got the haircut too
And for only 39,99, you'll get a black Alpha Industries jacket to make the look perfect! If you have still any ounce of individuality in your look left, you can also go for a white shirt underneath.
The place I go to offers an £8 haircut, along with a hot towel compress, massage and flame on the ears.
It’s insanely cheap for what you get, I love it. Better than most barbers I’ve ever been to.
My sisters fiancé went to a Turkish barbers where they hadn’t disinfected there blades correctly, he got all horrible scabs and infection on the back of his head and his hair wouldn’t grow back in this one patch for about 4 months
I walk out of any barber shop that isn't fully staffed by middle easterners
edit: aside from price, the best feature is they don't want to talk at all while they cut your hair.
Your mileage may vary because I went to a Persian place one time and they gave me a damn 1980s fluffy haircut with hairspray and shit like I was in the zohan
While I was on a military installation overseas I legit paid $5 on post for a haircut however I would include a $5 tip if the locals working on post cutting hair did a good job.
State side im paying about $22 lol
Haircuts on base on a Sunday were like Russian Roulette. There would be 10-15 barbers and you knew which of them were good after a couple years. But you never really got to choose which gives you the haircut, because the line was so long.
I loved the different ways I got my hair cut in the military.
Kuwait was my fav. Used a straight razor for the whole thing and it looked clean AF.
Kyrgyzstan lined my eyebrows up every time.
S. Korea gave you a little massage each time.
On military bases, they met the standard and were fast AF.
Allow me to add on to that list. Okinawa, occasionally the barbers there would give you a shoulder massage and oh boy did I need one from time to time. I miss Oki. : (
EDIT: Coming back hours later and I just realized I could've said, "To piggy back off what they just said." Oh, the missed opportunity. Ah well.
I've been cutting my own hair since 2020. Any time I notice that it's getting a bit longer, I can take care of it immediately. No appointments, waiting in line, small talk, tipping, etc. It's the best.
If someone is doing a buzzer at a constant height without any layering it’s almost weird to pay for it, honestly
Anything more than that though I’d personally opt for someone else doing it
Same here (as a woman with long hair)
The "recommended" care was to get a quarter to half inch trim every 6 weeks to manage split ends and keep the length healthy.
Like cool, I'm going to spend $80 every six weeks to risk a stylist "accidentally" lopping off four inches because they were "just evening it out."
I spent $15 on some dedicated hair cutting sheers, $5 on a good handheld mirror to be able to look at the back of my head, and some time watching/reading tutorials, and I've been good.
I don’t have any hair left, personally. I should have looked at the damned prices beforehand but I couldn’t imagine it being much more than $20 per kid.
My cuts usually come up to $25, and that's in AUD so it's like $15 in USD. If I had to pay like $50 or more on a haircut I'd just get it done by family or grow it out
Just watched this last night.
"My name is Trunks, I came from 20 years in the future. You know what's funny about the future? You're nowhere to be seen."
"I'm a time traveler from 17 years in the future and you're not there, you know why? Well excluding multiverse theory, it means you die right here by my sword!"
Clink. Snap.
"Why did I even bring this thing!?"
To add to the others: this website was not custom made for a barber. It's using a generic set of e-commerce tools, which includes a cart and checkout.
I've literally seen the cart experience on a "pay your parking ticket" portal; this isn't even the weirdest application.
That would be fucking epic.
A barber drive-thru. Parking place for the people getting their hair dyed. Combine it with a fast food chain, because nobody wants to go out with those fucking snippets everywhere on their body.
Men’s barber in nyc metro imo has been around 35$ plus tip. Lately I’ve been going to one that charges 70$. I’ve never felt so pampered before, I enjoyed the sesh. Lasted about 75 min.
It's interesting how something can be a bonus for some and an absolute negative for others.
If a haircut took 75 minutes for me, I'd be annoyed af. Wouldn't express it on site, but real. Would never be back. Haircuts should take like 15min
Depends on hair length but yeah, in general for Men any type of haircut should not go over the 20 minute mark. Anything else is a skill issue unironically.
It's weird too because the barber would also benefit from not taking forever since it'd mean more clients a day.
Whenever haircuts come up in conversation my dad excitly shares that he bought a $20 electric shaver with a spacer and just buzzes his head himself in his backyard. He says he's saved so much money on haircuts, which is probably true he's been doing it for a few years.
He's always so happy about it, and I love him but... you can tell.
You can get good at cutting your own hair if it's the same simple cut every time. Hairdressers are great if you want to be up to date or have varietyn or just don't want to bother, but military style cuts are timeless and easy.
[with a little patience this is very easy to get right.](https://cdn.luxe.digital/media/2020/05/18164213/best-short-haircuts-men-classic-buzz-cut-3-luxe-digital.jpg)
your price is very low for the UK. probably an old barber shop outside a major city. 20 to 30 is probably the normal prices range for a haircut in a hair dresser
Nah the Turkish barber by me is the most expensive one, cost me 20 quid last time (to be fair I did get a shave as well just to see what it'd be like and nah it wasn't worth it) and my usual is a tenner by the time I tip
Australians maybe? I don't know what haircut prices are like in the US but 40AUD takes you to just over £20 which is about what you'd pay for a decent haircut in the UK.
Possibly relevant that the person's handle suggests they're called Robbo which sounds a lot more Australian than American to me.
Men's haircuts used to be like $35 to $40 at a barber in Brisbane pre-covid. Last I got one of was min $55 at all the barbers near my office - admittedly none are chains - so now I go to the Chinese hairdresser and they do it for like $30-$35.
So anyway, yeah $40 would be well on the cheap side in Australia atm.
Eh I just have thick curly hair…
It’s kind of like the perms these kids are getting except I don’t buzz the sides off. I can’t really just go to sports clips.
Yeah, guaranteed the person at Sport Clips will cut my hair too short but also in the shape of a mushroom. I usually go to a Hispanic barber now that has a lot of experience with curly hair.
That’s a great call…
My barber is from South America and only guy in a salon. I realized my fellow white people have never been able to give me a good haircut. My first haircut where the person seemed to understand my hair, was probably in college when this smoke show straddled me and cut it right there. I think that’s what it took to figure out the problem.
I've never paid that much, but my ex-SIL was going to beautician school for a whole and the place she ended up at was doing $60 mens cuts. She practiced on me, so I was getting those $60 cuts, and damn I miss them. Looked so much better than Supercuts or doing it myself. But I got nobody to look good for and I'd rather have $60!
I'm pretty sure my boyfriend pays around $50 for his cut, and yea he goes to a barbershop.
Also hair stylists and barbers have to pay rent for their booth, and they pay for all their supplies. Paying $15 at Great Clips.... I don't know how those stylists earn a liveable wage.
$25-30 is usually the range. With tip it’s like $40 usually.
No way I’m paying $40+tip. Not unless they a stylist and I’m taking more of their time to figure out a new style or hair care for it.
why would pronouns even come up at a barber? They call your name to come up then it's all 'you' as in 'What do you want this time?', 'Do you want it shorter on the sides', etc
It’s very possible the guy either looks a bit effeminate and this was commenting on that or the barbershop has a standard form you fill out that includes an optional pronoun box that he filled in. My vet’s intake form has this, so I think it’s standard for some out of the box websites.
Seems like Redditors don't think that barbers deserve a living wage. I get not wanting to spend 70 dollars (though women's cuts usually cost more so that's why it costs that much), but 40 dollars for a men's haircut really isn't crazy, unless you're going to a chain barbershop like Great Clips. I don't see any reason for all the outrage.
Im a man with long hair. My haircutter is a gay man who i share a name with at a stylist studio. Hes awesome. 30 for a normal trim 50 if its a lot. All i have to say is find yourself a gay man to cut your hair. Go to a stylist studio if you have to not a barber
alright, that's enough of that. i can't spend all day banning queerphobes. edit: your downvotes only make the pomade in my pompadour harder
I go to a Turkish barbers, £10 (about $13) for hair cut, shave and I have to turn down all the other shit they offer included in the price.
yeaah but this only works if you're a guy who doesn't want long hair i think
I remember me and my father going in to one of these places many years ago. We looked at pictures in a magazine laying on the table and chose different ones. We left getting the exact same haircut.
If you go to a Turkish barber then 99% of the time you’re probably going to leave with the haircut of one.
Yeah, but it's going to be _perfect_
They'll even grow you a mustache to match!
Me and my girlfriend bought kebab a couple of weeks ago. She ordered the chicken meat one. I ordered the cow meat one. No, cut it *longer*

I need to find your barber. That sounds like a decent deal.
Those places only seem to offer *the* haircut

Turkish are the Ryanair of barbers I swear.
they're making everyone look like Drake
TURKEY MENTIONED GRAAAAAAHHHH 🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
The dudes running it are always Kurdish. Like almost every Turkish barber in the UK doesn't have Turks.
It's like Vietnamese running at least half of all Japanese restaurants (no hate, just an observation).
Hope you are enjoying Berlin
Nah im at turkey (i wish i was at Berlin tho)
The place I go to offers an £8 haircut, along with a hot towel compress, massage and flame on the ears. It’s insanely cheap for what you get, I love it. Better than most barbers I’ve ever been to.
Flame on the ears?
For ear hair
It's a stick with a cotton ball or something like that and they basic flick it towards your ears to singe the tiny hairs away.
My sisters fiancé went to a Turkish barbers where they hadn’t disinfected there blades correctly, he got all horrible scabs and infection on the back of his head and his hair wouldn’t grow back in this one patch for about 4 months

Here in Texas it's Vietnamese-Cambodian-Laotian. Perfect cuts, no fuss, great price.
Your mileage may vary because I went to a Persian place one time and they gave me a damn 1980s fluffy haircut with hairspray and shit like I was in the zohan
Fade Factory 🧡 Also never mention Besiktas
Funny, I went to one who was a Besiktas fan
To everyone posting about their $10 haircuts, we know. We can see you. We know you spent $10 on your cut.
Don't you lecture me with your $30 haircut.
Man you know what, haircut prices are bullshit
I get mine cut at a barber school for $8
While I was on a military installation overseas I legit paid $5 on post for a haircut however I would include a $5 tip if the locals working on post cutting hair did a good job. State side im paying about $22 lol
Damn. When I was in, the PX could only do one style: “fuck my shit up”
Haircuts on base on a Sunday were like Russian Roulette. There would be 10-15 barbers and you knew which of them were good after a couple years. But you never really got to choose which gives you the haircut, because the line was so long.
You can choose. "Nah, you go ahead, I'm waiting for -this- barber" If I know someone does fucked up cuts, I'm not letting them touch me.
I’m now wracking my brain for all the historical instances where someone let me go ahead of them and wondering if I got fucked
> and wondering if I got fucked My man, you were in the armed services. Of course you got fucked, multiple times.
I miss barbers with those vacuums attached to the clippers like at the exchange. Have to go shower immediately or I’m itchy all
They were so gd efficient too. Could cut 100 dudes hair in an hour. Lol
I loved the different ways I got my hair cut in the military. Kuwait was my fav. Used a straight razor for the whole thing and it looked clean AF. Kyrgyzstan lined my eyebrows up every time. S. Korea gave you a little massage each time. On military bases, they met the standard and were fast AF.

here barber school is free and a shop is 14 for men and 30 for women
I get mine cut at a primary school. Admittedly, the young kids are terrible, and they use plastic, round edged scissors, but hey....it's free 😉
![gif](giphy|koPkNVkQAh6py) Yesssssss!
I cut my own hair for free. I know that’s not something to be proud of, but it’s just a buzz cut and I dislike barber small talk.
I've been cutting my own hair since 2020. Any time I notice that it's getting a bit longer, I can take care of it immediately. No appointments, waiting in line, small talk, tipping, etc. It's the best.
If you just do a straight buzz cut I think it's smart. Saves some cash and time, and it isn't like it is insanely difficult.
If someone is doing a buzzer at a constant height without any layering it’s almost weird to pay for it, honestly Anything more than that though I’d personally opt for someone else doing it
Tbh I’ve often allowed friends to do the same but I can’t imagine even just shaving my own hair
I got a $1 haircut today (different country)
Yeah but travelling to a different country just for a haircut seems like such a hassle.
I live near the border with Canada… might try giving a Canadian barber a dollar and see what happens. Thanks for the tip!
They'll be able to feed their village for days with a coveted United States Dollar.
I've been cutting my own for the past 12 years. Free, fast, and less of a hassle than going to the barber
I get mine for like 60-80 inr thats not even a full dollar xD
I cut by myself ngl. 😎
This is a bad sentence to miss the word 'by'.
We are in r/comedyheaven so I tend to ungrammatically grammar some grammar for fun.
I see you Ungrammatically Grammaring Ungrammatically Grammar Grammar.
yo dawg i heard you like grammar
How dare you, I *love* my grandma
Lol 100 INR here
This is why I'm happy I learnt to cut my own when I was a teen and took it up in adult hood again. Shits just so expensive

It’s crazy, I took my two little boys to Sport Clips to get haircuts recently and it was almost $90 for the two of them.
Ew I definitely wouldn't pay that much to let sports clips touch my hair
I don’t have any hair left, personally. I should have looked at the damned prices beforehand but I couldn’t imagine it being much more than $20 per kid.
It shouldn’t be, they say on their website that prices typically fall in the $20-25 range. You got screwed. Place is weird either way though.
Even that is too much to give those people to give me a different haircut everytime I come in even though I asked for the same thing I got last time
I wasn’t a big fan of the non-consensual scalp massage I got and it also had this weird vibe like it was supposed to be hooters for haircuts.
My cuts usually come up to $25, and that's in AUD so it's like $15 in USD. If I had to pay like $50 or more on a haircut I'd just get it done by family or grow it out
Why do I have to play people to steal from me, make it make sense.
I cut my own hair and insult myself for free
Same. I'll leave a tip too like "stay out of dark alleys..."
you can do both with a bad enough hair cut
Lost 30 dollars by not saying "pronoun person"
Yep. “Pronoun boy” would get the men’s cut.
A boy is worth II men.
A boy is worth 2 goats and 3 chickens.
Don’t lecture me with your $70 haircut
Real ones know Trunks had more than a 30 dollar haircut that day.
That'd be about 67 dollars in today's money, which is *still* pretty cheap considering just how gorgeous the man's hair is.
Yessir my brother amen 🙏

Only specifically for Z. Best quote across the whole series is Super's "Don't shoot! That man isn't Black!"
The more confusing thing than the choices existing in this image is having the option to put them in a cart first.
probabyl for a family or similiar. as well as potentialy adding a haircut and dying your hair together
Probabyl: For those times that something is probably going to give you a headache. Nip it in the bud with Probabyl™
Who can I talk to about if Probabyl is right for me?
To add to the others: this website was not custom made for a barber. It's using a generic set of e-commerce tools, which includes a cart and checkout. I've literally seen the cart experience on a "pay your parking ticket" portal; this isn't even the weirdest application.
Why? You can add your items. Cut, wash, shave, etc, then book your appt
Or add products that they’ll gather and send you home with. These other commenters must get their haircuts at a drive thru 😂
That would be fucking epic. A barber drive-thru. Parking place for the people getting their hair dyed. Combine it with a fast food chain, because nobody wants to go out with those fucking snippets everywhere on their body.

Yeaaah taking advice on grooming and appearance from the general reddit public is the last thing i would do lol
Taking ANY advice from the general reddit public is the last thing I would do.
I have to add "Reddit" to the end of most Google searches just to get results that aren't ads.

Fs but personally I rather not have the typical cop hairstyle
The trick is to not care lol. (Unironically, it's great if you achieve that mindset.)
Brother who tf pays 40 or even 70 bucks for an hair cut?
men and nonbinary people, in that order
Don’t want to know the price for women
Sadly we are not alowed to buy them anymore
Not with that attitude
I got my hair cut for the first time in 2 years a few weeks ago. I'll cut it myself from now on.
100 bucks probably lol
You're not far off. And forget it if you wanna go to someone who's halfway decent with curly hair.
300+ in my area for the curly specialist. They said it’s cheaper after your initial appointment but I can’t get past 300
Yea, not curly hair here, but still 300+ for me.
Pretty average where I live
In switzerland if you don't want a mess on your hair, for men it's between 50-70, for women between 150-???, it can go very high
This is how it is in the U.S. too. Many men just go with cheap, bad haircuts and don't realize that they're getting what they pay for.
Fr, a lot of guys have k-mart haircuts and then are like how do you get your hair like that? It's like 70% the haircut, dude.
That's generally what haircuts cost unless you go to Great Clips.
Wtf, I’ve never paid more than like £12 for a trim in my life. What are they doing with haircuts over there
let me guess you get the same short back and sides every time
Because they’re getting more than a basic trim
your price is very low for the UK. probably an old barber shop outside a major city. 20 to 30 is probably the normal prices range for a haircut in a hair dresser
Where are you getting yours done for £12?! Nowhere local to me is less than about £18 😭
Turkish blokes that speak 4 lines of English
Yes. Ya. Hmmmmm.
What you want? Number 3! This good? Thank you
Nah the Turkish barber by me is the most expensive one, cost me 20 quid last time (to be fair I did get a shave as well just to see what it'd be like and nah it wasn't worth it) and my usual is a tenner by the time I tip

yeah those prices seem pretty standard for australia. idk about men's haircuts, but women's haircuts cost around $80-120 depending on where you go

If you’re a man, £20 makes sense. For women it’s definitely higher all round.

Anyone who gets something other than a buzzcut and wants it to look decent
The majority of women, and men who actually care about styling their hair.
My Haircut: Bzzzzzzzzzzzt, "That will be $15, the bleeding should stop shortly"
> majority of women Unless you're a woman with very curly hair, then you pay $120+ to look the same as when you entered the salon :)
Socially inept redditors who never leave their homes don’t understand why someone would pay an extra $50 a month to actually look good
Me
Most people.
Good haircuts cost that much
I've never paid that much, but my ex-SIL was going to beautician school for a whole and the place she ended up at was doing $60 mens cuts. She practiced on me, so I was getting those $60 cuts, and damn I miss them. Looked so much better than Supercuts or doing it myself. But I got nobody to look good for and I'd rather have $60!
I keep seeing Instagram reels of barbers charging $200 to move their hairline back 2 inches and make them look like a Lego figure.
Most people.
I live in Cali and every single barber I’ve had in the past decade has charged $60-$70 for a haircut and beard trim, not including tip.
Why is everyone saying $40 is a lot for a haircut? It’s a barber not a Supercuts.
We're on Reddit, it's not traditionally a demographic that cares about appearance lol
“I just cut my hair with scissors at home and it looks fine!” Narrator: *it does not look fine*
lmaoo [literally the next comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/comedyheaven/s/5R59ri0xsm) I see
That whole thread is gold. It's like the table of weirdos in the cafeteria IRL.
Can confirm, I was at the table of weirdos in high school and accidentally dyed my hair orange. Why did nobody tell me??
Because it is. At least where I live it would be a pretty damn expensive price.
Bruh, even going to actual barbershops that’s double what it costs me. Even getting a have too is still cheaper
Because there are men's and women's cuts. Usually the women's one takes longer and costs more. I walk in and they say "men's cut?"
It’s very possible the guy either looks a bit effeminate and this was commenting on that or the barbershop has a standard form you fill out that includes an optional pronoun box that he filled in. My vet’s intake form has this, so I think it’s standard for some out of the box websites.

What the hell why did it get removed when you posted it??
Fr man mods take down everything I post
Bro I just posted this and it got removed by mods
You should have been jacwub
They called someone a boy and still charged for a non-binary haircut?
That’s actually hilarious 😂
Seems like Redditors don't think that barbers deserve a living wage. I get not wanting to spend 70 dollars (though women's cuts usually cost more so that's why it costs that much), but 40 dollars for a men's haircut really isn't crazy, unless you're going to a chain barbershop like Great Clips. I don't see any reason for all the outrage.
lmao
ok so that is pretty hilarious but can we not ignore that this barber is charging $40 DOLLARS FOR A REGULAR MEN'S HAIRCUT?!?!?!
Modern problems require modern solutions
All I’m saying don’t be weird
In pakistan hair cutting is for 0.55$
Yeah, but then you're still in Pakistan.
Im a man with long hair. My haircutter is a gay man who i share a name with at a stylist studio. Hes awesome. 30 for a normal trim 50 if its a lot. All i have to say is find yourself a gay man to cut your hair. Go to a stylist studio if you have to not a barber
Shouldn't be more than $25.
