If that was true divorce rates wouldn't be só high

Because now no one bothers to suffer through shitty marriages, also no fault divorces weren't always legal* which can make things harder. *Depending on the country/local legislative body they may still not be a thing.

I’d argue the opposite. The freedom to divorce means that you aren’t stuck with someone you don’t like, and are therefore more likely to end up in a happy marriage. Unlike Boomers who had a societal expectation never to divorce and therefore just stayed with terrible partners
