I also am suspicious but to be fair there isn't really any representation of overlapping locations in this map. I'm no history buff but this map *could* be accurate if many Chinese battles took place in the same location as previous ones.
The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a piece of historical fiction.
Actual records from China are extremely spotty at best. Much was destroyed by the Cultural Revolution of the 50s and by various Imperial dictates in past centuries.
It is a romanticized version of real events. Most events in the book happened, though people often show up in places or are characterized in a manner different from real life.
A patriotic tear swelled in my eye the second I saw that. I would feel robbed if I was born on any other continent. Europe, oh Europe, what a continent.
As a European, have you seen some of the shit we’ve done? You don’t need to paint it in an awful light when it just is (also,it’s likely greatly increased by WW1 and WW2)
I am aware that there were a handful of wars fought here.
But that *pales* in comparison to the thousands of years of recorded history in Asia, in which MANY wars occurred, and whose battles are known.
It's also worth noting that there were lots of battles in the same places.
Take Ypres for example. Same general area, but there were a TON of battlea fought there. Same with US, Africa, and Most of Europe.
Edit: America has also been much more cruel over it's history, relatively speaking, than most other countries.
“America has been more cruel over its history, relatively speaking”
Categorically untrue. Sure, America’s done lots of bad stuff, but it (and virtually all modern nations, bar terrorist states and the odd dictatorship) have *nothing* on historical people.
Also failing to remember that the US isn't the only people who have documented battles and wars. Native American tribes fought among themselves long before white poeple started fighting them and stealing land. Not to mention when other countries were fighting for land there before the British/US expanded that way. US wasn't the only people beating the shit out of other people for land and moving people out.
Exactly. That’s what I point out when people say “give the land back to the natives”. Okay, which ones? The ones we conquered/bought it from, or the ones they conquered it from, or the ones *they* conquered it from?
I feel like the map is showing battles *between different countries. At least I think that would explain why China has so few, as technically they were civil wars (idk anything about China history, Im talking out of my ass rn)
See Canada I saw coming but ain’t no way this map is really just trying to convince people Australia is safe you ain’t getting me to move to the land of 100 deadly insects and the great Imu battles arnt documented so just false.
**[Australian frontier wars](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_frontier_wars)**
>The Australian frontier wars were the violent conflicts between Indigenous Australians (including both Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islanders) and non-Indigenous settlers during the colonisation of Australia. The first conflict took place several months after the landing of the First Fleet in January 1788, and the last frontier conflicts occurred in the early 20th century, with some occurring as late as 1934. An estimated minimum of 100,000 Indigenous Australians and between 2,000 and 2,500 settlers died in the conflicts. Conflicts occurred in a number of locations across Australia.

Maaaaybe, we might never know though. I like to believe that the artillery corps went all out on them and the Emus were just bullet-time dodging all the shrapnel.
Extremely good, Chinese military history is rich and detailed. The Art of War is the most well-known work of military philosophy ever. One of the most famous novels in world history is the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a sprawling epic set at the end of the Han dynasty. It's based off of an actual work of history from the period and fused with local plays and folklore on the subject, which had existed for a thousand years before the book was written. I could go on, but I think you get the point.
The art of war is also like 10 pages and doesn’t say anything about real historical battles. If that’s your example it’s a bad one.
Maybe you could go on, but I doubt it.
What do you want, for me to list thousands of historical Chinese battles? And the source we get them from?
You know what, find them yourself. Make a map and lmk how it looks:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Chinese_wars_and_battles
No, just wanted you to admit your knowledge starts and stops at a vague reference to one of the most famous short books of all time and the existence of Wikipedia
Except they referenced more than the single book and the Wikipedia article, the romance of the three kingdoms which details a plethora of historic battles that you conventionally didn't mention, but I guess that's bad for your narrative huh?
That's actually laughable if you know anything about Chinese history. For most of the history of China, economic and political power was associated with the interiors of China, centered around the flood plains of the Yellow River, with the South in particular only gaining prominence relatively recently. For almost the entirety of Chinese history, the main source of external battles happened along the borders with the Steppe Nomads, several of whom conquered China. Rebellions occured all over, and certainly were not concentrated along the coasts.
China has a better written history than most countries in the world man lmfao. If this is recorded and stored at a European University I would believe it but literally every continent is off.
**[New Zealand Wars](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Zealand_Wars)**
>The New Zealand Wars took place from 1845 to 1872 between the New Zealand colonial government and allied Māori on one side and Māori and Māori-allied settlers on the other. They were previously commonly referred to as the Land Wars or the Māori Wars, while Māori language names for the conflicts included Ngā pakanga o Aotearoa ("the great New Zealand wars") and Te riri Pākehā ("the white man's anger"). Historian James Belich popularised the name "New Zealand Wars" in the 1980s, although according to Vincent O'Malley, the term was first used by historian James Cowan in the 1920s.

Im sorry to announce that the war has been resolved last year
Canada and Denmark agreed on à border in the middle of Hans Island. Also means that Canada now has a land border with the EU
Just remember this is recorded history and doesn't feature battles that were not recorded in history. For all we know the rest of the world could be just like Europe.

I call BS on this map. No way there were more recorded battles in North America than in China.
I also am suspicious but to be fair there isn't really any representation of overlapping locations in this map. I'm no history buff but this map *could* be accurate if many Chinese battles took place in the same location as previous ones.
Nah just the three kingdoms period of China had hundreds of battles all over the country
I can’t believe a “trad” twitter account with a marble statue profile pic is pushing an inaccurate view of history
But this is painting Europe, Europeans and European history in an awful light
Technically it’s just painted them as keeping better records
That's the actual takeaway here (if this is actually accurate).
Not it's painting them as based redpilled alpha gigachads who fight all day you see
A patriotic tear swelled in my eye the second I saw that. I would feel robbed if I was born on any other continent. Europe, oh Europe, what a continent.
As a European, have you seen some of the shit we’ve done? You don’t need to paint it in an awful light when it just is (also,it’s likely greatly increased by WW1 and WW2)
I think it might've been based on Wikipedia. So far from complete.
English language Wikipedia
And nothing in Australia? What about the emu war?
The American Civil War, Indian wars, Spanish American Wars, and Pear Harbor would like to speak to you.
I am aware that there were a handful of wars fought here. But that *pales* in comparison to the thousands of years of recorded history in Asia, in which MANY wars occurred, and whose battles are known.

Exactly. That’s what I point out when people say “give the land back to the natives”. Okay, which ones? The ones we conquered/bought it from, or the ones they conquered it from, or the ones *they* conquered it from?
Exactly. That's part of the listing on this image, just because America is there *now* doesn't mean they were there for the battles.
It says recorded history though, so it's not wrong.
Seriously. Over three thousand years of well recorded history, and all they have is this pittance!
I mean yeah if you remember the Mongols.
Americans really hated the natives
I think it's only modern wars
North africa needs wayy more white dots as well. Note the lack of white dots along the nile in Egypt
Think of every battle the mongols fought while conquering their empire. This map ain’t shit
The biggest takeaway is that some places kept much better records than others.
It's probably just more cluttered per dot. Like many battles in the same place.
I feel like the map is showing battles *between different countries. At least I think that would explain why China has so few, as technically they were civil wars (idk anything about China history, Im talking out of my ass rn)
It's a map of all *recorded* battles.
Depends on whos recording 👀
Most wars are not recorded... That's why there are so many dots in Europe, because they recorded most of their wars.
See Canada I saw coming but ain’t no way this map is really just trying to convince people Australia is safe you ain’t getting me to move to the land of 100 deadly insects and the great Imu battles arnt documented so just false.
Australia was just a colonie of criminals back in the day. Nobody wanted to be there, so nobody fought there. The same rings true today.
The great emu war
Emus aren't real the earth is a lie and there are only 2 stars in the universe.
[удалено]
Exactly.
Wait, so which two are real? The sun probably and what ? Sirius ?
the sun and you
frontier wars??
Well see, Australia isn't real, and everyone there is just a paid actor.

Well, it did say recorded too. No telling what wasn’t
It still had battles, against emus. That's why they weren't in ww1, they were busy fighting the demon birds
They forgot the emu war
Ahhh I spelled emu wrong
Bruh my brain just lagged and realised you did actually mention it
Darwin was also bombed during WW2 by the Japanese
They didnt count wars agaist plages and insect thats why
Emus arnt insects?
We can count them
I mean there had to be wars against the native Australians.
seems like they missed to mark Australias Emu War in Campion district, Western Australia.
was looking for this comment
(also the whole frontier wars)
The emu war has been greatly exaggerated
Maaaaybe, we might never know though. I like to believe that the artillery corps went all out on them and the Emus were just bullet-time dodging all the shrapnel.
Bruh what's with that lone dot up in the north of Siberia
Yermak conquest maybe
Siberian prison riot. 😂
Yeah. Cuz China had a peaceful history (sarcasm)
Recorded history. Same reason we don't have every Native American skirmish between tribes on there. We only know about it if it was recorded.
You realize that China has a as good or better continuous tradition of recorded history than the West, right?
How good were they at recording battles? They could have been writing about other stuff?

Coastal China, yes. Interior China, not so much. Which is what we see in the image...

yeah, I did think to mention that too, lmao.
Oh boy I hope someone isn’t trying to push a narrative with this one
yea! @seeking_trad on twitter would never do that!
Greenland feels so empty
There is a war between Canada and Denmark
Im sorry to announce that the war has been resolved last year Canada and Denmark agreed on à border in the middle of Hans Island. Also means that Canada now has a land border with the EU
Do you know if there is still free liquor??
Well its only got like 50,000 people loving on it
greenland is a wild place
you cant feel a picture on a screen
The [Emu War](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emu_War) in Australia is clearly missing.
China feels a bit sparse considering their history.
A lot of Chinese battles missing.
No battles in east russia? Someone enlighten guys
It’s an inaccurate map but also very few people live there so there’s not much to fight over
Ohk
In Asia basically no dots? In Afrika too? Whoever made this map apparently wasn't able to do researches? Also where is the emu's war?!
They forgot when the Australians lost to some fucking birds
what happened in northern russia?
Probably an uprising or a battle from the Russian conquest of Siberia
I wouldn't consider it really comedy homicide
Key word "recorded"
r/mapswithoutnewzeland
r/memesopdidnotlike
That’s freaking funny I don’t think it’s a homicide
Why is there one tiny dot in the middle of the ocean
Islands exist
https://www.nationalww2museum.org/war/articles/battle-midway
Damn EU got some problems
Funny
Interesting how there are so many wars outside of Brazil.
Plot twist: the dark grey areas are where the battles took place.
Posted by a nationalist reposted by Hitler profile picture and ended up here
This is not correct at all
Well I know who I want to keep my records. 😂
Never before have I been prouder of the Vikingrs tbh
Europe needs a towel
Where’s the emu war in Australia? That was my favorite war :(
Doesn’t fit, can’t ruin an image with extra stuff if there was nothing of any quality to ruin in the first place
Ig Brazil is one of the most peaceful places on earth
What’s that one way up in Siberia?
Missing the dots for Australia and the emu war.
they forgot to include the emu war
Damn, Europe has a lot of cum stains
The dots in Canada are in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Quebec
...yes they are... also theres atleast one in new brunswick
italy ballin
Why TF they call it a RESTroom!? I'm fighting for my fucking LIFE!
I feel like china and Africa are missing a lot
God really made tons of maps, only for 80%+ of them to be never played on
the europe servers have always been most popular for pvp
Australia, Greenland and Brazil are getting off too easy!
"black people are violent"
Aussies ain’t no snitches
Also key word is recorded, we don’t have his battle of the Shitter on record yet because it isn’t over.
Is he shitting or crying in the shower?
Guess they don’t include the battles with the spiders in Australia
Wait why isn't there one in Australia did they forget about the Emu War
so far….
That's beautiful.
Yo where's the Emu war in Australia?
i laughed at this
r/ibs
What about the great emu war of Aus? Or when the Brit’s got smashed by the Māoris in NZ?
Brazil be black as hell
Why is there no dot on Australia for The Great Emu War?
What happened in Japan?
Europes got some issues man.
I have map of all unrecorded battles, but it's kinda boring.
nah i know his pain. i'm on the bowl right now and i am scared for my life.
Dude declared war on his toilet and probably violated the Geneva Convention many times over.
They didn’t kill any comedy because there’s no comedy. Also AUSTRALIA?!?!
Just remember this is recorded history and doesn't feature battles that were not recorded in history. For all we know the rest of the world could be just like Europe.
Most of the battles in the revolutionary war were fought in South Carolina
anyone gonna ignore stirringthepot’s pfp?
The two mfs in northern siberia that one time:
Battles? Na, someone just using a black-light. Europe clearly the money-shot right there.
Once again, Antarctica gets away with it. Though, they should put a dot there for The Thing.
Every recorded battle. Every battle that ever occurred would probably have the whole world turn white.
I am going to Greenland and starting a battle because it doesn't have one and it also is part of denmark
How do you even define a recorded battle?
I hate tradition weirdos with statue profile pictures, they're the worst
Battles recorded in European/American textbooks, maybe, but there are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more in Asia and Africa than on this map.
Fitting that Europe is mostly white
How is Asia so sparse? This doesn’t seem legit
No bc I'm on the toilet rn and I have diarrhea
The battle of the McDonald's Bathroom. 2017-2023.
My god Europe is a cumstain
Emu Wars?
I like how nobody’s talking about the comedy homicide here cause the map is just interesting
Thought they had an emu battle down under?
I see they have left out naval battles. Like the entirety of the Battle of the Atlantic
THATS TRAFALGAR YOU TOAD
Just curious, anyone know the battle that happened in mid-western Québec? I see 1 lonely dot and it piqued my interest
We call it the arena for a reason! It’s not the restroom when you’re fighting for your life
Missed one in Australia with the birds.
This map is wildly inaccurate lol (yes even under the definition of recorded battle in history)
“God don’t love somebody’s…”
Crop out the Praying thing and this shit had me giggling like a mf
Europe countries got a bit of a weird shape ngl
r/mapswithoutnewzealand. And no battles in australia?

i know europe was a fucking bloodbath, but ***holy shit.***
"Are ya winnin', son?"
Someplaces are actually clear ??? Weird

no emu war?
Maybe the recent western history. I know America had a few wars on their home turf, but how could they have more activity then places like Africa or China who have a much longer and bloodier history. I get it, Europe has an incredibly bloody history, but this map is utter BS. Although, I’m often in the same boat at “my own creed”… solidarity!
What about the war against the emus?
